"Instead of that man being grateful for bringing his daughter to the hospital, he is accusing us of harming her," Maddie grumbled as Mason led them to where he parked his car.

"I think I should go and give him a piece of my mind," Maddie turned around to walk back to the hospital's reception.

"No Maddie, leave him be," Mason said, stopping her.

"Let's just leave."

Maddie reluctantly followed Mason as he walked up to his car and opened it for her and Ava to get in.

Mason was about to drive out of the hospital premises when Trevor drove in.

Mason got down from the car to meet Trevor and so did Maddie, she threw her arms around Trevor in a tight hug.

"I came as soon as I got Mason's text. Sorry, I was in a meeting," Trevor said into Maddie's hair.

"Are you hurt?" Trevor asked tilting his head to the side to look at her face.

Maddie removed her head from his chest, shaking her head.
