Let's Do It!

Ava stared at Mason with her mouth hanging wide open. Did she hear him correctly? Her brain was getting quite foggy and she was beginning to lose focus, but did he say they should get married? Or maybe she was imagining it. 

"Let's get married," Mason repeated himself. 

So she wasn't imagining it. She did hear it the first time. This time around her mouth wasn't only hanging open, but her eyes were almost popping out of their sockets. Was he out of his mind? Or the alcohol has gotten into his head as well?

"Don't say what you don't mean," she said, waving her glass at him.

"I mean exactly what I just said. Let's get married."

She chuckled, "you are joking right?" He has to be joking, there is no way he can be serious.

Mason wasn't surprised by her reaction. "I know it sounds stupid, but I'm not joking, I'm not joking."
