Hello Jack

Jack was beginning to get antsy. He has been trying to reach Deb on the phone all day and her number wasn't going through.

It's been hours since she left to go and give Edith the money and she was not yet back.

What was going on? He already sent her several texts but she hasn't responded to any of them.

Did something happen when she went to give Edith the money? Did Edith rat her out to the police? Has she been arrested?

No. He highly doubts that she was arrested, she would have called him or even the police would have reached out to him.

Something was definitely wrong, Jack could feel it.

Deb doesn't have any friends he could call to ask about her whereabouts. She is a lone ranger, she rarely kept friends.

"Where could she have gone to?" Jack wondered out loud.

"Sir, you need to rest," Jack's nurse said when she entered the bedroom and saw him pacing about mumbling to himself.
