1 Chapter 1: The Letter

I used to be empty , sad and alone. Two years ago i thought it was a simple day , rain pouring outside and me staring at the window in my room as i think of my future. A knock on the door interuptted me. "Come in" i said with my hands crossed ,the door opened and i saw my father , a straight face as always he handed me a letter and told me to read it in a calm and cold voice. He was always like this, he never gave me deep talks he never often showed that he loved me , but that's okay i know he loves me. if it weren't so then he woudn't have let me choose my own school and i have something to eat everyday and a shelter so i shouldn't really say anything. Since mom died dad did everything to make sure i am safe , monitors all over my room , my window and a personal bodyguard . Yes, i appreciate his care about my safety but this is just ridiculous. I opened the letter , and the message brought cold shivers in my shoulders , my eyes widened, and all i could think of is this my life is turning upside down and i felt that my life was a whole lie. "Dear lin , hello my sweet grand daughter to this day i think you'll be able to finally understand the truth about our family , as you may know i am in europe , germany and from what your family have told , i moved here because your grand mother and i divorced. I asked her to go with me but unfortunately she refused because she can't wait to see you. Your mother was pregnant with you when i left , as much as i would love to see you i believe i can't look at you for one glance without telling the truth. The one you thought was your grandfather is actually your father... yes your mother is pregnant because of me... she was my secretary at my company , she was pretty and a kind girl that makes wise desicions for my company .i fell for her when she was in her 30s and i was in my 40s and luckily she felt the same. When she told me she was pregnant with you i was happy but i know i have to face the consequences and i have to clean up the mess and disgrace i brought to this family. I told my wife or your grandmother that i got your mother pregnant and she felt as if the world would end but i understand how she felt. of course devastated i just needed a place away from these people . I hope you understand , and with this sad truth i hope i can make you feel better by giving you all my riches i have my personal assistant to set up the needed papers and requirements.. i can finally rest in peace knowing that the things i left here is in good hands. Sincerely yours your true father." I couldn't move , i don't know what to say. I'm only at my highschool , what could a girl like me could do with this money and this family. Tears fell from my eyes and as the rain got even stronger i cried even louder , And fell asleep.
