Chapter: 8: Case Solved?

A new moon rises every night.

4 hours before Mrs. Alive's suicide.....

"Mom! where's we going now?"

"Let's see...where you want to go?"

"Hmmm Let's enter that book store. It looks interesting."

"Oh! wait for me. Don't run or you will be tripped. oh, dear. By the way, what's the store called?"

-Looks on the board in front of the store.

"Psycho Store"

"What a cold day! No one seems to be seating at their desk except me. Uh oh(sigh)"

Jacob was put to hold. The case he was working on was taken from him. Because of yesterday's death of the suspect-Mrs. Aliva. The media is going crazy. Everybody was trying to close the case as soon as possible. It's as if they found a single person involved in the case. They will drag him into jail and made him the culprit. Thus put an end to this case.

"kenri...kenri.....Any updates on the case?"

Jacob whimpered to Kenri who was working next to his desk.

"I heard that the recording of the telephone was cracked. Everyone was praising Mr. John for this."

"Just tell me what's on that recording." Jacob said, " Don't tell me about that hypocrite and his achievements."

"The recording one only has the voice of Mrs. Aliva. There were no answers from other side. That's what surprises me."

"So, you are telling that no one replied."

"Correct. Mrs. Aliva started talking like this-

< I'm not guilty. I didn't kill them. It's not me who did it. I'm not one of them. I'm not like the monster. Please understand that >

Then she hanged the phone."

"It's a very suspicious matter." Said Jacob, "I gotta take some coffee." He went on to get some coffee. The coffee machine was outside Mr. Beak's office. As Jacob was filling her coffee mug he heard John and Mr. Beak arguing about the case.

"Sir, I'm really close to solving the case. I just need some time. Please sir try to understand."

John said.

"You have done a great job. We found the culprit of the son and father homicide case.

Now close the case."-Mr.Beak

" I know we found out that Mrs. Aliva was the murderer but we haven't found any clue about the phone call before her suicide."

"I said Close the Case," said Mr. Beak irritatedly.

John left the office wildly. He was not convinced by Mr. Beak's answer. When he was closing the door of the room, he saw Jacob.

"You didn't hear anything? Did you?" John asked.

"Absolutely, not."

"Okay, Bye."

John was ashamed of the fact that he didn't fully solve the case. Rather he had to shut down the case because of his superior's order.

Jacob went back to his desk.

"Kenri! What happened? I heard John speaking about to close the case."

"We found the murder weapon. Moreover, the fingerprint of that weapon was Mrs. Aliva's. It was confirmed that she assassinated the father and the son. We have learned that she had a Psychological disorder called 'Filicide'

[ Note: Filicide is the deliberate act of a parent killing their own child. The word filicide is derived from the Latin words filius and filia (son and daughter) and the suffix -cide, meaning to kill, murder, or cause death. The word can refer both to the crime and to the perpetrator of the crime. ]

Kenri's opinions about the case-

The mother tried to kill her son. When her husband came to prevent the murder. But she slaughtered her husband as he was trying to

stop. Due to short of time, she hed the son somewhere. After a few days, she threw the son into the west side of the river.

This is an 80℅ possibility. Though Jacob was not convinced. The ending was kinda weird.

*A phone call? Suicide? That's way too dramatic.*

"Can you give me the case file?" Jacob asked to Kenri.

"But sir the case is closed."

"Just give me a copy of the case. Don't you dare to tell Me. Beak. Or I will beat you to dead. Remember that." Without finding any other way Kenri gave him a copy of the case. Jacob left the office as it was launch time. He took the copy with him.

"Did you find any book interesting dear?"

"Yes, mom this one. It's called the handicapped Psychopath. I think it's quite funny."

"Are sure about that?"

She moved her head horizontally with a grim.

"Okay, Come on."

"Are you the owner of the store? I would like to buy this book. Please pack it up."

"Hmm," Abi packed the book handed it over to Mrs.Aliva. When Mrs. Aliva was taking the book from Abi's hand. There was one thing written on the packaging.

"GUILTY"

She moved her gaze from the book to Abi's face with her eyelid wide open.

A smile rose from the corner of Abi's lips.
