Three weeks later

Rosaline’s P.O.V.

I was sitting on the couch and was watching Flash, my favorite series. I have fully recovered by now. Xavier took a lot of care of me for the past three weeks. He didn’t allow me to do any work. He fed me food and medicines and always stayed by my side till I got well. I was very happy since I got my old Xavier back whom I love with all my heart.

Little did I know girl that my good days were just going to be over soon...

The door creaked open and Xavier came inside.

“Rose! Didn’t I tell you to rest?“, he scolded me angrily. I huffed and got up from the couch. I then walked toward him and wrapped my arms around his neck.

“Baby, I am bored. Let’s go somewhere. We haven’t left the house since our marriage”, I whined while burying my face in his chest. He chuckled after hearing my reply. He then hugged me gently and asked softly, “Sure, where do you want to go?”

“Anywhere”, I responded blankly while my face was still buried in his chest. He snorted.

“Okay, then we’ll both go on our honeymoon trip” As soon as he said that, I jumped in excitement.

“REALLY!! YAY!! WHERE?“, I screamed enthusiastically while he just chuckled at my childishness. “It’s a surprise”, he said while pinching my cheeks.

“Huh? Okay, count me in”, I chirped. He ruffled my hair playfully while laughing, “Okay but first let’s go-to shopping. I want to buy clothes for you”

“Alright, I’ll get ready.” I hastily took my clothes from the closet and ran to the bathroom.

At Central City Mall

As soon as they reached the mall everyone started welcoming them and bowing to them respectfully. Rosaline looked at Xavier in confusion. He smiled, “This is our mall.”

“WHAT?“, she yelled. Her eyes widened in shock as the place was so damn huge!!

Xavier’s P.O.V.

I smiled while looking at my Rose who kept staring at the building in awe. “Did you like it?", I asked her softly while grabbing her hands and leading her inside.

“No wonder you hid so many secrets from me”, she murmured. The smile got dropped from my face after hearing her sarcastic reply. She noticed it. Rose then held my hands and stared at my eyes remorsefully.

“Just kidding!! Don’t get angry”, she looked at me with sad eyes. I smiled. “How can I get angry at my little Doll?", I pinched her nose. She chuckled. Soon a lady approached us. I told her to take us to the women’s section. She nodded and guided us the way.

After 2 hours

Rosaline’s P.O.V.

“Xavier, just stop it now.”

We have been jumping from one shop to another buying clothes for the past two hours. Xavier had bought tons of dresses for me which were highly expensive and luxurious and was still forcing me to try some more.

“Just this one Sweety", he pouted.

“What the hell Xavier!! Where am I gonna wear this?", I yelled at him in frustration as it was a damn Princess gown.

"Am I a Cinderella to him? Is he taking me to a honeymoon or a fairyland?”

“Go try it”, he glared at me angrily.

“Urggg!!!"

I snatched the gown from his hand roughly and went inside the changing room.

As soon as I closed the door and turned around, someone placed a palm on my mouth shutting me up and gripped me by my waist tightly. I shut my eyes as I became too terrified and started struggling in his hold.

“Mmmpffff!”

“Ssshhhh! I am from the CIA” (Central Intelligence Agency), a man with a deep voice rasped near my ear. I eventually calmed down after hearing it. I opened my eyes slowly but I became shocked as soon as I saw him.

A handsome guy with blonde hair and blue eyes wearing a gold-toned suit was staring right into my eyes.

He was simply a Greek God!!

“Hey, Rosaline Browns, right?“, he whispered while removing his palm from my mouth. I meekly nodded as I was still dazzled by his charm. He maintained his composure and looked at me sternly.

“I am Agent Vincent Valentino from the CIA. You can simply call me V. I have been appointed for your safety by the famous and dangerous Black Swan gang leader, Xavier Knights”, he spoke in his husky voice. As soon as those words left his mouth, I froze. Noah frowned as he noticed my dull face.

“No V, Xavier said that he will change himself and do all the good deeds from now on-” but before I could complete my sentence V shoved his phone right in front of my face. I looked at the screen only to see a video being played on it. I became shocked after watching it. I grabbed his phone with trembling fingers while staring at the screen with teary eyes.

Mark!!

It was a video of Mark. He was inside an abandoned building all tied up and beaten up ruthlessly. He had scratches and wounds all over his body. Blood was dripping from his head. He looked numb. Suddenly Xavier entered the room, his face was dark while his eyes were red-rimmed. He was looking very angry. He picked up an iron rod kept in the corner and walked towards an unconscious Mark with predatory steps. I flinched as soon as Xavier swung the rod in the air and hit him hard on his head. He then kept walloping Mark brutally. After a few minutes, he stopped and threw the rod on the cemented ground. Mark wasn’t breathing at all. It was clear that he had died. Tears filled in my eyes as I saw the dead body of my friend which was completely soaked with blood. But my eyes widened when Xavier took out his gun from the holster and shot all the six bullets in Mark’s head right after making his skull burst open. His blood got splattered all over Xavier's face as he glared at the corpse in front of him with a demonic smile.

I become horrified by his barbarous act. The phone fell from my hand in fear. I looked at him. “When?", I asked him in a shaky tone as I could barely speak. My mind turned blank.

“Two days after Nick’s death”, V spoke, his eyes staring at me coldly.

No way!

It was the same day Xavier promised me to change himself.

I clenched my fists in anger. He again lied to me.

“HOW COULD-”

“ROSE!!”

We both flinched as soon as we heard Xavier’s voice from outside. I looked at V in fear.

“Don’t worry. Just go for now”, he assured me.

“B-but?", I held his hands in fear, I can’t face Xavier after all this.

“Meet me in the restroom on, the first floor to your left after 10 minutes. Now go!” he whispered calmly. I nodded my head and wiped off my tears. He hid behind the door while I exited the room quietly.

Xavier smiled as he saw me coming but slowly his smile got dropped.

“Why haven’t you changed yet?”, he asked me while furrowing his eyebrows.

His question caught me off guard. I looked down and found myself in my old clothes while the gown was still in my hand.

“Ummm...I wasn’t able to change it alone. It’s too heavy”, I spoke while showing him puppy eyes. Xavier chuckled after hearing my reply. I sighed noticing that he believed me.

“Okay. Listen”, he called someone but I immediately grabbed his hand, “Xavier let’s go. I am tired”

“No Rose, you need to change first”, he said. “No, you just buy it. I am famished”, I replied as I remembered that I had seen McDonald’s on the first floor while we were heading upstairs. Xavier nodded his head while smiling at me.

“Alright. KFC?”

“No McDonald’s!!", He nodded in agreement. Xavier then ordered the manager of the shop to deliver all the dresses to our home and paid the bill.

Rosaline's P.O.V

“Okay Doll what do you want to eat?", he asked me softly but I didn’t reply. I was boiling inside.

He again lied to me.

Why Xavier? Just why do you do this? Why play with my heart again and again??

I am such a fool to believe in all his lies. He again killed my friend.

He’s a monster…

While I was cursing him in my mind Xavier suddenly snapped his fingers in front of my face pulling me out of my trance.

I immediately composed myself up. “You order the food. I need to use the restroom”, I said. He nodded. I smiled at him and left.

As soon as I reached the washroom, I immediately closed the door and locked it. But there was no one inside.

Weird!!!!

But I shrugged it off and started searching for Noah everywhere but he was nowhere to be found.

"V, where are you?"

I opened every door searching for him everywhere hastily when all of a sudden, I felt a tight grip on my wrist from behind. I sighed.

"Where were you-"

I turned back but the words died in my mouth as soon as I saw...

Xavier?

Oh No!!!

I gasped in shock. How did he come inside?

Xavier was standing right in front of me. His eyes were dark while his face was stoic. His face held an unfathomable expression. I gulped.

"Xavier-"

"Who’s V, Rose?"
