389 Chapter 381 : : Space Bunny

A newly made intertwined kennel connection was now present under the surface, all the kennels originated from a central hollow area large enough to accommodate a stadium, known as a central base.

Several Working Bots were working together with clones made using Bilocation to install equipment in the central base.

The kennels connected to it all had a large metal door on the entrance, spirit lanterns were lighting the hall, temperature regulators were maintaining the temperature, air sac mushrooms & jade cleansing flowers at the edges where purifying the air and the illusion array was replicating an open world scenery.

The whole floor of the central hall was made with a strange stone, its colour was like any other stone but on touch, it would feel like cold glass. Instead of the floor, it was like a grand platform.

Although they weren't visible with naked eyes, several arrays including mobile transmission arrays were engraved on the stone platform.

A big circular portal made of crystalline pale yellow stone was present in the center of the base.

Rex was sitting on a chair near it, he held a teacup in his left hand and a purple metallic cover book in his right.

The pages of the book were made were lustrous as metal, the words written on them were flickering constantly, new words were appearing and old words were disappearing every second.

It was the ‹Forbidden Legacy Of Godly Chimera› book Rex received from Crimson Sun Emperor's inheritance part.

Rex also had the ‹Book Of All Cure›, he still chose to study this one first, the reason being he wanted to solve the level limit bottleneck problem of his undead zombies, the zombies or ghouls Rex was able to make till now would stop growing after reaching a crucial bottleneck and he didn't have time to research on them before, only after he got this book did he think about focusing on that aspect.

Rex finished his study session and closed the book, he then looked at the portal, the Working Bots who finished connecting it to energy cells were obediently standing on the side, not willing to disturb him when he was focused on reading the book.

He waved his hand to signal them, one of his clones to start the activation process while he himself used the smart band to send a message to an elder to bring the goods.

Soon a hidden transmission array appeared at one place on the floor then a figure emerged on top of it, Elder Wu came holding a bunny in his hands.

"Why a bunny? Didn't I tell you to bring some criminal if possible?" Rex furrowed his brows.

"Ancesto- Master Rex, I did find a criminal but met with Ancestor Wang on the way, I had no choice but to lie about sending him to prison and had to bring this for testing," Elder Wu said with a bitter expression on his face.

He didn't use ancestor to address him because Rex was more used to master, he was told to bring a criminal to test the portal for living beings but on a condition that Wang Cang doesn't find out because it was at her bottom line. In the eyes of righteous forces, it was an evil act. Of course, if a force is strong enough such as Temple Of War, they could openly do it in the name of righteousness but Wang Cang was truly righteous.

"This will do too," Rex sighed, he took the bunny in his hand then took out a wrist band and put it on its neck like a collar.

When Rex was doing that, the clone of the other side finished the activation procedure and the hollow portal reacted.

Energy sparks started to appear in the middle of the portal, the energy fluctuation only got intense with time, Elder Wu hurriedly back off in the distance, he was only a Form Synthesis peak stage so it was still too much for him, the fluctuation was indeed dangerous for him.

If it wasn't for his loyalty then Rex would have asked someone else for help.

Rex calmly looked at the changes that appeared around the portal, it wasn't the first time he was seeing this. The bunny in his hand-dug its head into his hands not daring to look up, it may have low intelligence but like any other living creature, the survival instincts were rooted in its DNA.

When the fluctuation reached a critical level, the void started to fluctuate, a change occurred in the center of the hollow circular portal, a tiny black fragment carrying the rule of space appeared from the void, the black fragment soon expanded to all the inner edges of the portal while rotating like a whirlpool, the spinning black whirlpool generated a strong suction force trying to devour anything around it, the black whirlpool was almost like a tiny black hole albeit its suction force was weaker beyond comparison to the real deal.

Rex quietly waited after the portal started working, after around 2 minutes, the clone that standing on the side of the portal waved his hand signaling that it was now connected to the other side, he rubbed the soft hair of the bunny and spoke.

"Rejoice, little guy, you are going to become the first space-bunny which managed to travel between two planets using my version of Ancient Teleportation Portal, if you succeed, I promise you a mountain of carrots and bunny harem to enjoy your rest of the life in heaven and if you fail, there isn't a need for me to do anything, you will directly go to heaven," Rex said.

The bunny ignored his words and kept shivering, with a tap on its head, it stopped shivering and went into a deep slumber, Rex extended his hands and the rabbit flew into the portal.

Once it passed through the black whirlpool, it disappeared without a trace.

Rex patiently waited, soon a figure was thrown out from the portal.

Elder Wu curiously looked and saw a big fat man tied into chains lying on the ground. The man was trying to speak but a big gag was blocking his mouth, the seals on him prevented him from sending Qi messages.

"Don't mind him, the number of criminals in Middle Realm is way more than you think, it is just another criminal also known as corrupt noble," Rex said, he then extended his hand and pressed it on his forehead, analyzing the changes in his body.

[It is just some mental fatigue, change in the flow of blood, dizziness symptoms, they aren't anything serious, the travelers would feel same as when they got drunk for the first time, it can utmost make them vomit, nothing else,]

Rex nodded, he kicked the man and it was thrown back into the portal.

Elder Wu silently gulped watching this scene, On one hand, he sees the kind and easy-going Rex afraid to hurt a fly when he is with Ancestor Wang and now this one which was in contrast to his other side.

After waiting for another minute, two more figures came out of the portal but for some reason, they looked like they were thrown out instead.

Rex looked at Altan and Andusk who landed on the ground with their faces kissing the floor.

Altan quickly raised his head and spoke.

"Chief, I suggest you close the portal ASAP!" He said.

"Why close it so fast? Do you know how much energy it takes to start it and..." Rex was annoyed, he was still speaking when he saw another figure coming out of the portal, it was the figure of a woman, at first, he thought it was Zakiya and he was excited to present the working portal but when he saw the long green hairs and emerald green eyes of the figure, he shuddered.

Rex looked back at Altan who had an 'I told you' expression on his face.

Lerna stepped out of the portal and looked around to check her surroundings, her expression was somewhat cold, her eyes scanned the surrounding tacking Elder Wu as air then locked onto Rex.

Elder Wu shuddered, at first, he was stunned by the beauty and appearance of the woman but her ferocious presence and cold eyes made him avert his gaze and look down on the floor.

"Dear, what are you doing here?" Rex forced out a smile and said.

Hearing his sweet words eased her expression a little.

"Hmm... Just came to take a look, aren't you happy?" Lerna stared at him.

Rex quickly approached her and held her hand.

"How couldn't I be happy? I'm just surprised, I missed you a lot but why are you here? Now go back fast, without you how can I stop worrying about the organization' safety and my Little Aru, and put my heart into my work," Rex said with a serious expression, at the same time he peeked at Altan from the corner of his eyes and sent a message.

'Damn you Jiang Shuang!' Rex shouted inwardly.

Lerna looked at him and slight hesitation appeared on her face, in her ideology, whether it was Little Aru or Rex, they can't be neglected, everyone else can go to hell.

The coldness and anger she built up faded at a lightning pace.

"You are working? So there is no one like that harlot snake here, right?" She asked n a suspicious tone.

[Harlot? She is learning fast,]

With few exchanges of messages from Altan, his guess was confirmed and Rex got the gist of the whole situation.

"My sweet cheesecake, don't you think I will fool around here with someone else when I have a beauty like you in my embrace?" Rex said with a sincere expression as he took her into his arms.

Lerna didn't resist, if it were normal times she would even take the lead with her role switched with him.

"Really? There are no two other harlots?" Lerna still asked in an uncertain tone. Rex got her weak spot, if she didn't know his history with Ria then she won't even believe even when someone showed the picture proof.

Rex saw the opening and struck.

I will explain everything when I come back, okay?" Rex slightly pushed her, urging her to go back into the portal.

Lerna saw him admitting it in a way and didn't know how to respond.

Rex vigorously nodded, he also lifted Andusk and pushed him back into the portal to manage the other side.

The portal soon closed, the black whirlpool shrank and disappeared.

Lerna had an innocent heart and pure mind, her killing nature and beastly instincts had no role to play in a situation such as this, moreover, the current Rex was one of her two biggest weakness.

Rex wiped the sweat on his forehead, then thinking of something he turned and looked at Elder Wu in the distance.

Elder Wu felt his intense gaze, his throat turned dry, he felt like he witnessed something he shouldn't have.

"I.. Didn't see anything," He quickly said.

Rex nodded in satisfaction.

He then turned to Altan, the next stage of the plan that could finally be put into action.
