Chapter 37 - A.I.M

[April of 2012]

[°New York City, Fisk Tower°]

3rd Person P.O.V

Andrew opens the door and walks inside the office of Fisk. He sat on the comfortable couch and turned on the Tv while Fisk just looked at him.

Andrew turned to Fisk as he spoke "I assume you know about the recent bombing that happened a few days back, right?"

"Yes.." Fisk replied and waited for what this is all about.

"Well, I'm about to go to them later and mess some shit up with them. So, here's the thing. I want to you to expand your Fisk Industries and become something more. I assure you that your company will immediately soar to heights after the things that I'll introduce to the market, so be ready as you will get more media exposure in the near future." Andrew explained.

"I was going to ask about what kind of things are you going to introduce but since you seem confident and i also have trust in you, we will do this.." Fisk slightly smiled as he stood up from his chair and walked and then sat in the same couch that Andrew is currently occupying.

Andrew smirked as he can already imagine how the world would go crazy over the things he will release as some cunning plans ran through his mind.

[°A.I.M Headquarters°]

Andrew hovers in the sky as he looked at the mountainous region below him. The futuristic-looking headquarters of the Advanced Idea Mechanics was located at the peak of one mountain.

Swoosh!

Andrew flew down and lands to the front of the headquarters with a bang, rising dusts and rubble to the air.

Waaaang! Waaaaang!

Siren alarms eventually resounded within the whole place as all the staff inside began moving frantically. Aldrich Killian – who was in one of experimental rooms, looking over how the new subjects will react to his serum – furrowed his brows at the sudden alarm.

Andrew began walking inside leisurely as he looked around the place. "This place is good."

The whole place is silent and empty but he can sense that all of them are hiding from him and is secretly observing him.

Currently. Andrew is disguised with the appearance of the new identity that Fisk procure for him.

Footsteps resounded within the empty lobby as Andrew saw a blonde nerdy-looking guy with a crutch walking towards him with a frown.

Andrew was a bit surprised that Killian seems to still haven't injected himself with the serum, evident with his disabilities. A few ideas ran inside his mind as he came to another decision 'Hmm, change of plans..'

Aldrich braced himself for anything as he came face to face with Andrew. He stealthily took a deep breath as he spoke "May i know who you are and what you want with us?"

Andrew slightly smiled "I have come to make a deal regarding your little extremis project."

Aldrich's eyes widened in surprise as he thought about how Andrew came upon the knowledge regarding the Extremis. But he broke out of his stupor as he hurriedly brought his hand for handshake "I-I am Aldrich Killian. We can talk about this in my office."

Andrew shook his hands as he nodded while Aldrich suddenly grunts in pain as his front teeth that was protruding began aligning itself and became normal in a few seconds.

Aldrich expression took on that of disbelief as he hurriedly touched his teeth and felt it not poking out of his lips anymore. A new light shone in his eyes as he turned to Andrew and excitedly motioned him to follow him.

[°Aldrich's Office°]

Andrew sat on a couch in front of a table while Aldrich sat in a couch behind that table along with a pretty woman with long black hair.

Maya Hansen looked at Andrew with a suspicious eyes as she can't believe how the latter fixed Aldrich's crooked teeth. She fixed her sitting position as she spoke "So, I assume you're one of the infamous mutants?"

"You can think about it like that.." Andrew replied plainly "I have a deal for both of you."

"Go on." Aldrich replied almost immediately.

Andrew looked at him trying to hide his excitement as he continued "I will perfect your serum for you, not only that, I will even create products beyond your current imagination and in turn, I want A.I.M to be mine."

A frown immediately surfaced in the face of Aldrich as he immediately replied "I-isn't that a bit.. excessive? We aren't even sure if we can trust you after all. A-and i built A.I.M from scratch and now, even the government is starting to fund us with our project, so suddenly changing owners will be a massive thing and the government will definitely not let that slide within their eyes."

Maya Hansen who even though was also frowning, she was inwardly interested with the words of Andrew, specially how the latter said that he can even perfect the serum.

"You don't have to worry about the government and about the fundings as i have plenty of that. What you just have to do is to become the face of the future A.I.M. The A.I.M that will revolutionize human development and bring it to new heights it had never seen before." Andrew spoke with the same calmness as before.

Aldrich seems to still a bit hesitant but then he suddenly stood up and spoke "I-I will accept your proposal if you can prove that you can perfect the serum.."

Maya Hansen's eyes widened at that words as she also stood up while saying "W-wait Aldrich, I think you're not thinking about this thoroug–"

Though. She was interrupted when Andrew also stood up and spoke with a smile "I will prove it to the both of you.. right now."

After saying that. Andrew began walking and exited the office with Aldrich and Maya looking at each other before hurriedly catching up at him.

Andrew eventually came inside their Lab while Aldrich and Maya was confused about how he knows where to go, he strolled around the place as if he knows its in and out.

Andrew pulled a lab coat from the coat hanger and wore it smoothly. He looked around and saw about three human subjects, all lying in their respective beds. All of them have disabilities missing a limb or two from the feet or hands.

He then began working as he pulled the formula for the serum and studied it. Though. He thought about a better idea and just went inside Maya's mind – who was sitting while watching him – and read the formula within her memories.

A light shone in his eyes as he finished reading her memories and then he began working.

It only took about a few hours for Andrew to finish the whole thing and he even managed to remove the superhumanly part of the serum that'll give the receiver some enhanced capabilities like heat manipulation, enhanced strength, durability, speed and only left the regeneration part of it.

Through the whole process. Aldrich and Maya was already numbed by the things they saw while watching Andrew work. They shook their head at each other as they saw how the simplest things can even perfect the serum while they themselves wasn't even able to think about it.

Their interest and their slight awe to Andrew continued to grow as Andrew worked and after the whole thing was already finished. They came up with the same decision and a smile surfaced in their faces as they can already imagine the heights that they will reach while following Andrew.

Though. Andrew wasn't satisfied with just their naturally growing trust and admiration for him as while working, he was also putting suggestions and ideas within their minds that will ensure their loyalty to him in the future.

Andrew held a syringe in his hand that contained a bright yellow substance as came in front of the sleeping disabled man.

Aldrich and Maya went beside him as they wouldn't let this moment slip from their eyes. The former was shaking in excitement while the latter was also the same.

"Let's do this." Andrew turned to the two who gave a hurried nod as he then injected the serum to the sleeping man.

As the serum spreads through the man's bloodstream, the man began convulsing and shaking as his shut eyes snapped open widely.

"ARRRRGGGG!"

The man howled in pain while Maya clenched her fist seeing the innocent man's pain while Aldrich still has the excitement in his eyes.

His amputated leg and hand began slightly glowing in bright yellow as smokes began rising from it. The man continued yelling in pain and after a few minutes, the missing limbs of the man returned and appeared to be in a perfect shape.

"Huff. Huff." The man breathed heavily as he turned to look at his limbs and happiness appeared in his eyes.

Andrew waved his hand as the straps that was holding the man to the bed untied itself as the latter raised himself from the bed.

Andrew turned to Aldrich and Maya "With just a few tweaks, I should be able to fix the side effects of the receiver feeling so much pain and the serum would be ready to be mass produced and place to the market in less than a month. But the first product that we will place to the market isn't going to be this one.. yet.

I'll make knock-off version of this and that is what you will introduce in the near future as i have different idea for the original serum before it can be available to the masses." Andrew finished talking while removing the lab coat.

"T-thank you." The man has tears glistening in his eyes as he turned to Andrew and thanked him with utmost gratitude.

Andrew smiled to the man and patted his shoulders as he turned around and began making his way out of the lab with the two hurriedly following from behind.

It was the late of the April. The Advanced Idea Mechanics pulled out of their initial deal with the government and Andrew provided compensation for the broken deal using the funds from Fisk.

After that. A.I.M surfaced and made itself much more known to the public as the knock-off version of the extremis found itself in the market and the whole industry went crazy.

Aldrich Killian – who's appearance was already normal after using the serum manufactured by Andrew – became famous and the media went crazy as they tried converging to wherever he is, asking how they made the serum and whatnot.

The government tried exerting their influence and "asked" A.I.M to give them the formula but Andrew who used Fisk's power and shooed them away using legal papers and if that wasn't enough, the former made a lesson to some who was too persistent.

Then another news from A.I.M made the whole world crazy. The whole globe was wide eyed when A.I.M arrogantly claimed that they will possibly release a cure for near untreatable sickness like cancer, leukemia and stuff in under two years.

The world once again went crazy at that proclamation while the mastermind was casually sipping from his can of coke as he waited for the inevitable invasion.

The Author blocked a punch that cracked the bones in his forearm as he quickly retreated.

He huffed as his arms dangled to the side uselessly.

The man who punched him was a messy haired guy who seemed to haven't taken a bath for like forever.

The Author turned to us as he casually broke the Fourth Wall "Hey! You! Yes, you, give me the stones so that i can defeat him, the stones are like senzu beans here in the Authors Dimension, so quickly! Give me the stoneeees so I can defeat this homeless man!!"

At that, He-Who-Starved attacked once again.
