8 Chapter 07 - The Last Night [1]
The night came with the full moon hanging majestically in the sky. moonlight lit up the darkest corners of the world. The cold breeze of the night brings chill up to the spine of every humans as they hurried off to their homes.
-- Game Room --
Andrew sat at the couch with his eyes closed as he watched Dr. Reyes stares at her screen with his [TK Domain] in her office.
He have been watching her for a while since he wants to know the passcode for the computer.
He wants to know what she and the Essex Corporation have about him.

He removes his focus on her after seeing she was done and then tried to do the thing that he was interrupted to do because of the Rahne incident.
He first cleared his mind of any distraction and sat crossed-legs. He delved deep in his mind and tried to mold something like a gray sphere inside his mind realm. This sphere would act as a shield that would protect his mind from psychics like Xavier and Jean Grey.
The process was slow and steady and after 10 minutes, the sphere was formed. The sphere was simple in looking since he believes in simplicity.
After the sphere was formed he then immediately tried to fortify this by making it more thick but yet condensed so that it would be stable and wouldn't just break easily.
This mind sphere of his wouldn't just be an ordinary psychic shield that psionics can conjure at any moment as this one is more tough, complex and in a league above others.
The young mutants at the side who was playing some games would look at him from time to time seeing him just seating there with his eyes closed and thought to themselves, "I really swear that he's so weird sometimes."
Andrew who was oblivious to what they are thinking continued on as after doing his first experiment, he felt himself not really that tired and tried to proceed with his second move. He tried focus on his newly created mental sphere as he gathered a small portion of telekinetic energy and slowly, he tried to spread it evenly across the entire sphere.
After a while, he saw the mental sphere gain something like a thin film that covers it entirely. He checked if there's any problem on the film and after confirming he then did to it what he did to the mental sphere.
Finally, after seeing the glistening mental sphere in his mental realm all stable and completely, He willed the sphere to suck the whole mind realm making the it the mind realm itself, where his thoughts and memories reside.
The realm of the sphere was divided into three sections, the core, inner and outer. His past life memories are in the core with the present memories residing in the inner section as his continuous thoughts that turns into his present memories flows through the outer into the inner.
After seeing his successful project he then relaxed his muscles and lied in the couch with a comfortable groan.

Half An Hour Later.
Dr. Reyes came to the game room as she requested for Dani who was flirting with Rahne to come to her to do some tests.
Rahne tried to accompany her but Dr. Reyes said that she can just wait. Rahne looked at Dani with worry as she remembers what she said to her about Dr. Reyes. Dani comforts her that she'll be okay and left.

Rahne who is filled with worry approached the others as she tells them to gather at the attic where she has an important thing to say about Dr. Reyes.
The young mutants followed her after seeing her serious with Illyana also doing the same seeing that this was about the woman.

-- Attic --
The young mutants gathered as they sat in their chairs, they looked at Rahne with curiosity as they waited for what she has to say.
Rahne seeing them all curious immediately retold to them what Dani said to her and how she thinks that this test that Dr. Reyes is conducting right now will may or may not endanger Dani's life.
"I knew it! That woman can't be trusted!" Illyana immediately stands up after hearing this. The other young mutants was also stunned at this revelation.
Andrew also acts as if he was shocked while his parallel thinking does its job as he also looks at what is happening in the inner room where Dani and Dr. Reyes are currently in. The former is strapped to the bed as panic slowly began to fill her realizing what Dr. Reyes is gonna do to her.
"What should we do? Should we go and save Dani?" Sam said in worry.
"We shouldn't act immediately, we're still not sure if she's going to do something at Dani right now, and we're just gonna get trapped by her barriers if we just barged in without plan." Roberto said.
The young mutants agreed as they talked about what they should do. Rahne who was talking suddenly stopped as her ears twitched and then she entered her hybrid state out of nowhere.
Her nails turned sharper and longer as fangs grows from teeth, brown fur quickly grows out of her arms all the way to her wrist, same with her lower body and neck to the nape. Her face, torso and hands are the only thing without furs.
Her ears continued to twitched as she turns to the ground, specifically to the direction of the room where Dani is.
"She's screaming... GUYS! DANI'S IN DANGER!" She mumbled a bit before shouting.
She immediately dashed towards the door and ran. The other mutants looked at each for a moment before also running after her.

The other mutants ran after Rahne who was leaving them in the dust with her speed except for Illyana.
Just as they turned left in a corridor, Rahne who was speedily running suddenly stopped in her feet as she stared at the wide hallway and saw three figures that are standing still in their place.
The first figure was familiar to her, too familiar. It was the priest from earlier this morning who tried attack her. Fear slowly crept up her eyes as the fur from her hands slowly starts to recede.
Illyana on the other hand, is shaking. She looks at the two tall slender figure wearing black silky thin clothes and a weird eerie smiley masks with wide-eyes as she starts to back away. It was the Smiley-Men.
Sam and Berto looks at this creatures with wariness, they immediately recognized the priest by the description that Andrew gave them earlier. But the smiley-mask wearing thin men was unfamiliar to them.
The three creatures began to twitch as if they sensed the young mutants, their fingers twitched at first followed by their hand and then their whole body. The two smiley men began twisting and turning and with a quick move, their head turned to the young mutants as they rips the masks on their face, revealing a featureless face except for a mouth that has rows of sharp teeth.
The priest, Craig Sinclair, also turned his scarred face to them and smiled wickedly while holding his burning-hot rod that has the letter 'W' on its tip as he said, "We meet again Witch."
Rahne was about to turn away to run in the direction they came from but a hand suddenly stopped her in her tracks. It was Andrew.
Andrew smiled to her while holding her shoulders and said, "Don't be afraid. They are just an illusion.. Well technically, but still, they are not real. And even if the real ones come, I'm sure you two will be able to handle them easily." as he also looks at Illyana.
Rahne and Illyana stopped trying to flee and just looks at the creatures who was screeching and laughing maniacally. They repeated the words 'They are not real' to their minds and firmed their resolved but Illyana has other plans. She suddenly dissappears in her place in a blue hue leaving them.
The three starts to move towards their direction as they roared and laughed.
"Oh come on! Really?" Sam said as looks at the place where Illyana dissappears.
"Don't worry about her, she'll come around." Andrew said as crossed his arms in a relaxed manner as he looks at Rahne who came back to their hybrid form and awaits her move.
<I can do this> He heard the surface thoughts of Rahne as he used his Minor Telepathy.

Rahne dashed in high speed towards the priest as she unleashed her claws. As she reached close to him, she raised her claws and made a swipe downward from his fat face to his chest.
The priest falls on the ground as Rahne immediately mounts on him and began slashing and ripping his face.
No blood came out of the wounds, only bluish-purple mist. This confirms to Rahne that the priest under her isn't real and using all her strength, she points her right claws at his face and pierced his face all the way down to the insides.
She feels nothing inside his head as the head slowly dissipates in smokes followed by its whole body.
The Smiley-Men weren't able to move even an inch except for their head while this was happening as Andrew held them in their place using his Telekinesis.
"*Whistles*.. That was brutal. Fortunately that wasn't real, if not, that would've made a bloody mess *Laughs*" Berto whistles as he said this while promising to his self not to provoke Rahne everytime.
"How come this creepy things are not moving?" Sam asked as he looks at the faceless beings.
"It's because of me." Andrew said as he raised his hand.
"Oh..so.. What do we do?" Berto said.
"We move." Andrew said as the two smiley men suddenly lifted in the air and slammed into the either side of the wall of the corridor respectively. They struggled to get out of the telekinetic grasp but a sudden THUD sounded through the hallway and a hole suddenly appeared on both foreheads of the two as if pierced by something invisible. They fell silent and unmoving as they hang in the wall and began disintegrating in bluish-purple smokes.
Sam, Berto and Rahne looks at this scene in shock and couldn't help but admire Andrew since from the looks of it, he seems to have full control of his ability and was very familiar with it, unlike some of them.

They continued on their way to the long corridors and after a while they arrived on the ground floor.
What greeted them in there is a bunch of Smiley-Men, about a dozen, accompanied by what seems to be humans wearing mining outfits, there are seven man who seems to be normal but that was denied by how pale their face is, they have deathly pale complexion, creepy white eyes and numerous wounds all over their whole body.
All of them was motionless at first but immediately began to twitch and move as if they are being awakened just like what happened to the earlier bunch. After waking up completely they twist their heads in near impossible way towards their direction and roared and groaned.
"Wha-What is this!..." Sam who saw the the dudes in mining uniform began to stammer in fear as he tried to make sense of what's happening..
"Sam. You know what they are." Andrew said as he crossed his arms and waited for Sam to recover his sense.
"Ah Ye-Yes of course, Dani's ability is bring out our greatest fears and that just means that this... are just illusions." Sam slowly recovered from his fear and began to think logically. He looks at the illusion of his father who was just staring at him blankly and couldn't help but shed a tear, this tear slowly transformed into sobs as he cries his heart out.
"Dad.. I know you are just an illusion right now but... I just want to you to know that i.. miss you.. and I-i.. *sobs*." Sam said between his cries.
Berto taps Sam's shoulder and smartly said nothing. After a while Sam slowly recovered and composed himself as he turns to Andrew who was the one stopping the entire fear manifestation gang from interfering in his little drama.
"You can.. ki- *inhales deep breath* destroy them now.." Sam said as he looks at Andrew gratefully.
Andrew smiled at Sam and was about to start finishing this illusions one by one but a sudden *whooshing* sounds echoes through the entire ground floor as a mystical blue portal suddenly opened from the wall and Illyana came out of it guns blazin while holding her Soul Sword in her armored right arm and quickly dashed towards the Smiley-Men and the ones wearing mining uniforms and began cutting them like vegetables displaying great agility as she weaves left and right effortlessly. After a few moments, she was finished. She turns to the group and said while smiling, "Did you all miss me?"
