5 Unforeseen Bounce!

"Easy Cassie." The handsome redheaded young man rode atop his War Dog all the way to the south gate of the city stunning many of the passerby.
"Ah, Marsh the Darkwood Brigadier. You seem to be developing well. How are the rest of the Darkwood forces?" A tall and burly but suave middle aged man said as he alighted from a green Lancer S9.
"General Roland," Marsh got down from his War Dog and gave a military salute to one of the kingdom 7 great generals, Roland White, The Suave Hermit, Lord of the Rhinos. "Andrew is going through the trial to advance in the Darkwood Ranks. The Prince asked me to come and offer greetings. Would you like to follow me to the Arena?" Marsh asked nervously.
Although General Roland is Prince Adoli's teacher, he is still one of the 7 great generals of the Kingdom of David. Being sent to greet one of the protectors of the kingdom is a great honor. "Sure, lead the way. Also, who did Andrew choose?"
"Yes sir," Marsh hopped back atop Cassie as he began to follow alongside the head of the motorcade. "Lieutenant Colonel chose to fight against Colonel Lance."
"Ah, Smart. Yet, devious. That is good for both of their developments. I am also sure he knew better than to challenge your younger sister. Speaking of Anette, will she be preparing to challenge you." The middle aged man said with a chuckle as he began to knock his cane against the back of the driver seat. A bronze jewel like stone fell out.
"She is not brave enough yet, but the prince had said that she would be ready to challenge me before anyone would challenge Princess Vana. So it should be a while from now." Hearing this the man ceased the twirling of the stone in his hand.
"Oh, are you not confident?"
"No sir, her power is very similar to the Darkwood Prince in that they are traveling militia units by themselves. I have been training to be able to fight many at once, but I am still always away." Before Marsh could continue a stone hit him square in the middle of the forehead. As he caught it, he began to feel a strange vibration internally.
"After we arrive, go back and train. I am sure you will receive many insights. As for whether it will help you challenge the Darkwood Polemarch that is up to your luck and your ability."
"I will General." With a look of excitement on his face, Marsh rode to the head of the motorcade.

[Shatter Series: BladeStorm]
The teeth like edges of Lance's blade began to float off of the blade leaving a normal looking short sword.
As the pieces took flight they began to circle in the air creating a tornado of sharp steel shards.
"Well it looks like General Roland has arrived, so Colonel please excuse my violence as I prepare to get serious." The aura around Andrew erupted as the shadow of the lightning Porcu-squrriel Deleone appeared.
[Deleone: Equanimity]
Before the tornado of shards could reach him, it made contact with the illusory image of Deleone. Which canceled it out.
[Deleone: Equality]
As the shards fell to the ground more and more of the white and orange spines began to appear on the back of Deleone. And they began to look less Illusory than before.
[Shatter Series: Solid Front II]
Lance swung his short sword around himself many times forming blade lights that just sat suspended in mid air all around him.
The many spines shot out of the back of the porcupine forming beautiful arcs of orange and white across the battlefield. Although the sight was beautiful the hearts of the spectators felt more fear than anything.
When the first spike made it within 2 meters of Lance a blade light began to move forward to meet it. When they made contact the blade light instantly shattered. As for the spine it continued it's flight only slightly slower than before.
Seeing this Lance sent more blade lights to meet the spines as well as remembering to send a few at Andrew.
Yet, as the number of spines in the sky increased. Lance began to get overwhelmed. Although not as injured, Andrew wasn't doing much better. That attack used up a good bit of his energy and some of the blade lights slipped through his defense.
When the last spine fell, the sight the audience saw was pretty gruesome. Lance had 3, meter long quills piercing through him and Andrew was missing an arm.
"Now I will finish this."

Lance's body began to convulse and contort in pain.
"Haha, foolishness. You wish to be a colonel with this little strength. I was wondering what gave you the confidence to challenge me. Good poison art though." The audience began to gasp in shock seeing the man stand up despite all the damage he had received.

The ground shook as all of the glass shards shot up from the ground piercing through Andrew. Andrew's body then collapsed into particles of light.

"Lance!"
"Lance!"
"Lance!" The crowd erupted seeing such a fight really get the blood pumping.
"I am surprised you guys didn't destroy anything this time." Anette said as she landed next to her brother.
"I have never seen Lance use that move before I was caught off guard, before I could even get serious."
"Take it as a lesson and learn from your mistakes, and that's Colonel Lance to you." The behemoth said cheekily.
Anette then turned to the crowd as highlights of the match were displayed for all to see.
