Luber and The Campbells

Although other races are common, Vampires are still feared in human communities for their exceptional abilities and strength. Therefore the looks the man received turned from ridicule to slight fear and competitiveness.

"Greg Luciano, Tier 2 Level 65, Sniper - Gunner" A young man in a suave mobster-like 3 piece suit.

"Nina Edwards, Tier 2 Level 31, Naval Warlord - Navigator." Woah, everyone then turned to look at Nina. All they saw was an extremely beautiful young dark skin woman with braids that were finished with beads. "Don't worry, even on land I can function as artillery."

Finally everyone gave her a collective nod finally showing respect to her ability.

"So from the looks of things we have 3 ranged fighters and 4 close combat types. From the instructions this year's competition will be different. This year it will be more of a round robin style matchup." Although Ian wasn't the strongest in the group nobody questioned him taking charge in the conversation. "Each round we will be randomly put against other teams. Each team will select a location they are confident with defending."

"When we enter, 1 team will receive 5 minutes to attack the other team's location; if they break their opponent's altar, they receive a point. If the Defenders defend past the time limit then they will receive the point. Then there is a halftime before the match resets and the defending team must now attack."

"With our draw we will be the first to attack, I suggest we go in with a heads - on approach to start so we can get familiar with our battle styles. We have 4 tanks, 1 Artillery, 1 Archer, 1 Sniper. As long as we let Greta, Luber, and Fronz take the front with me, Luana can harass them from medium range. With their attention on us Greg should be able to get some good damage from a distance." Hearing Ians suggested starting battle plan no one had any qualms with it. Although it was a relatively simple plan, it does play to everyone's strength and should do well to bond them together.

"Wait, what about me?" Nina asked, visibly upset.

"You?" This was the problem Ian found. "If possible we should select a location with a body of water. That way if I recall your family correctly you should be able to destroy a low level village on your own. Although, that's great, when would we get to fight? So please only join if we are about to lose or come across really easy opponents. Otherwise, we will be forced to choose only land based terrain. This is a team trial so we should all get a chance to shine." Ian said sternly with a grim expression on his face.

"I knew you'd remember me young Ian or have we Edwards not scarred the Matten Family enough."

"Oh, so you're from the Edward Naval Family. I was wondering why your abilities sounded so familiar. Since that's the case I agree with Ian's plan for now. Is there anyone who opposes or wishes to amend the plan?" Luana asked tentatively.

Aurora City - North Wall

Ever since Prince Adoli took over Aurora city the citizens of this, once small farmer town, have become relaxed in their day to day living. With the Darkwood trees around the city, no animal dares to come close after the many lessons of the past.

"Terry, this seems to be Darkwood City, formerly called Aurora City, yes?" A unaware and self interested Young woman in a classy yellow sundress said from the top of a big Terrapin.

"Yes, this should be it. It is a long way from the small town it used to be. You see that giant wooden dome over there?" Terry Campbell said pointing in the Southeastern direction.

"Yes." At this point the head guard, a few maids and a few family members walked forward as well. While the rest of the Campbell family entourage began sending their items through customs.

"That is the Darkwood Arena. We were cast out of Scribendia due to the mistakes of our ancestors which led to our fall. The State of Abe has welcomed us along with the entire Cult of Xavier. Young Master Luber has already gone ahead. He has some matters that will allow him to rely on Prince Adoli in the future. He has tasked the Campbell family with doing the same." Everyone nodded in understanding as this was already discussed.

"Courtney and I will go all out, but as we do so I need you to go to the Darkwood Investments Building and submit our Business Plan. With that the Campbells may rebuild in the future. 'Where the coins shine there's a Campbell Son'"

"Where the coins shine there's a Campbell son!" Everyone shouted in unison.

While traveling through the city they noticed the extreme relaxed nature of each of the citizens. It was almost unnerving.

In the city's Darkwood Estates Building 4 Apt. 9…

"Ahh! Terry, Courtney, you made it. I now feel much more at ease." An extremely pale fair skinned handsome young man said in relief from his chair.

"Young Master, it is our duty." Terry said solemnly, as he kneeled down. The pale skinned youth quickly rushed to his childhood friend's side to keep him from kneeling.

"Although we still represent the dignity of the Cult of Xavier the higher ups have abandoned us. With everything I could scavenge from the remnants of our branch I made a deal with Viscount John Farrar to give us safe passage here. He recommended joining forces with his younger brother the Darkwood Prince, and so we are here."

"Oh yes, young master Luber, have you spoken to the prince? Wait, who is the Darkwood prince did he name himself after the new tree. I thought we were here to see the bloo -." Before Courtney could finish her words, Luber, the pale faced youth quickly put his hand over her mouth.

"Shh, the people do not appreciate their savior being called such unsavory things." As he explained his actions he began to observe the perimeter. Checking behind the door, out of windows, even in drawers. "They hear everything man. It's why no one actually dares to be a criminal here. Even the city guards are Tier 2. It's too creepy."

Terry and Courtney were shocked. Scribendia where they just came from was known for a crime rate second only to the Holy Rock which is the capital of the State of Abe.

"From what I heard Prince Adoli was called the bloody Prince because as a child his father sent him here with the Lord of the Rhinos to train. When he awakened his ability he planted the first Darkwood Tree which is a manifestation of his powers. The trees feed off of blood and so everyday when he would return from training out in the woods he would gather the blood and feed the seeds." As he spoke both of the Campbell siblings found a seat as Luber began to pace the room.
