Author's POV,

Providence decided to use her skateboard to school today, so she went into the basement in her house and in that basement was filled with many things that were not always used or that are abandoned including the gown that her mum bought, but the gown was kept in a safe space or store as she calls it. The basement was dark and dusty and it was filled with many cobwebs and God knows what type of insects that have turned the basement to their home. It looked like a place cut out of a horror movie without the lights, but when the lights were turned on, it looked like an abandoned and haunted house because nobody toke care of the place, even Providence was shocked and frightened for a while before she regained herself and decided to derive a way to get to her skateboard

"My, my I am in need of help here" she said thinking to herself about ways to get her skateboard. After some time of giving it alot of thought, she decided to go and look for a sweeper to remove some cobwebs from the room.

After she went to take the sweeper, she stretched it in front her and started moving the sweeper around like crazy while covering her nose with her other hand.

After a long time of swiping cobwebs, she saw her skateboard, she took it and ran out of the basement while dropping the sweeper on the floor of the basement.

"Gosh,I'm late for school today"she said quickly cleaning her skateboard and after she finished cleaning it, she smiled and said,

"It's worth the wait and efforts,look at how clean and beautiful my baby looks now" she said admiring her skateboard.

She was almost forgetting that she was late for school already...

"Ahh my teacher is going to be angry today, but well, what can this girl do?" She said encouraging herself

" Mum I'm going to school, bye" she shouted to her mum while running out of the house

Providence would have wished to stay at her house if she knew what would happen when she reaches her school...

She took her skateboard and began skating to her school as fast as she could while thinking of an excuse to give to her teacher.

"I can't kill myself, I would just have to face the punishment he would give me head on" she said summoning all her hidden and abandoned courage because she was already near school.

Although she was scared, she would never express it on her face at all because she prefers to be seen as a "Big Bad Boss" than to be seen as a "Scared Little Princess" she would never let that happen, she thought to herself and took her skateboard in her hand while holding some books in the second hand and heading to her first class preparing herself for whatever comes her way.

But when she entered her class, she smiled because her teacher stepped out for a while. She quickly walked into the class, greeting some of her friends before she went to the middle seat that was empty...

But unknown to her, her teacher already took note of her absence from his class since he entered the class.First, he thought she skipped his class so when the principal called him for a while, He decided that he would tell the principal about Providence's decision, so he sat down after sitting down in the modern-looking office, he decided to speak and he said to the principal,

"principal, one student is skipping my class and it's really disturbing me because I don't want that girl to influence her classmates too"the principal was amazed and he decided to follow the teacher to his class to ask her classmates about the girl for more information.

"Let's go Mr Samson I want to know more about this student" he said to the teacher, standing up from his comfortable and exquisite office chair.

When they reached the class, lo and behold, Providence was seating comfortably in her seat waiting for lectures to continue while the teacher was dumbfounded and confused, the principal didn't get what was happening yet so he turned to Mr Samson and said

"Can you please point out the seat of the student so that I can pick someone from the class to watch her every move in this school" he said not Knowing anything at all

"Um " the teacher said at loss for words

"Oh I think I've found the right person for the job, hey you girl at the middle seat, pls can you stand up" the principal said to Providence

Providence was becoming scared, she didn't know the teacher could go to such a level, so when the principal told her to stand up, her mind was already grieving and crying.

"Please can you come out for a while" the principal said to her, some of her classmates were telling her to be strong for the punishment

"Um principal, this girl you are choosing,..." Mr Samson wanted to continue before the principal cut him off

"Yes Mr Samson, I know she's the perfect one for the job she is very good and she's an hardworking student, infact, many teachers like her too" the principal said praising Providence the more and making both Providence and her teacher speechless...

Providence is very confused now, she doesn't understand what is happening again, she thought she was coming to receive some scolding and now she's being praised for what? Coming late? Ah this must be a joke she thought...

"Um principal, she is the one that skipped my class" Mr Samson said looking annoyed

"Providence Jones!!! That's impossible" he said turning to Providence in a bewildered manner

Now Providence is even more confused about this whole issue

"Sir I didn't skip you class, I'm here" Providence said pointing to herself

"Oh shut your mouth little girl, you weren't in my class at the beginning so when you saw that I went out, you sneaked into the classroom" Mr Samson said very sure of what he was saying.

"Excuse me sir but I didn't skip your class I was attending to some personal things" Providence said to him back

"And sir I'm not a little girl" she said looking at him

The principal just stood and watched the conversation between the two and he was very sure that there was a misunderstanding between the two of them, but before he could intervene what happened next shocked him badly...

"Wow what a mannerless child, how can you talk right back at me like that? I wonder what your mum was doing until this point, if only you had a father, your case would not be like this" he said eyeing her distastefully

What he did not know was that Providence was already fuming so bad that she couldn't stop what came out her mouth next...

"Oh wow sir, if anyone were to talk, you are not supposed to be among them because as old as you are, you have not gotten yourself a wife, I bet it that your future children are cussing at you right now" Providence said not caring about the consequences again

The principal regretted not intervening in the matter and now that matter has escalated, he decided to take them to his office to let them explain better and solve this case amicably because, the teacher did something wrong by insulting the student and the student too did something wrong by insulting him back,so he is in a dilemma now and he doesn't know what to do but at least they will talk it out when they reached his office...

"Let's go to my office please" he said to the fuming teacher and student.

When they reached his office, he decided to start his speech and he started with the teacher first

"Mr Samson, it is very wrong of you to insult a student with his or her predicament and in this case you did very bad and I'm very disappointed in you" he said before turning to Providence

" Miss providence, you also did a wrong thing by insulting your teacher with his predicament.You should have at least reported to me or even wait for me to answer him but no,you decided to fight for yourself. It's not right, you are both under my Care in this school and all of you are supposed to respect each other in the school, this is against the school rules but I don't know what to do now, I can't expel the student because the teacher started it and I can't sack the teacher because he is very important, so what can I do? You people are making me confused and Miss Providence I'm sure you don't want your mother to know right? so if you don't want her to know we have to just let the matter go.

Providence already had a plan so she was not disturbed

"Ok sir let's leave the matter here" she said looking at the principal.

Both the principal and Mr Samson were shocked now "is it very possible for this students to just leave the matter like that?"they thought in their mind

"So now that it's settled I think I can go back to my class right?" Providence asked smiling at them

"Of course, you can go to your class"the principal said

As Providence went out of the office she smiled to herself and said

"At least they've forgotten about the punishment of late coming so I'm saved now" she smiled again.
