20 Questioning Ted.

DALE MEMORIAL PARK CEMETERY, HILLDALE.

"My one and only daughter..."

There was a large crowd round a flush grave marker, the families of the deceased were at the front, weeping uncontrollably at the sight of the graveyard of their child. The crowd moved to another head stone, and two stayed behind at the first. They kept sobbing, cursing at whoever killed them.

"I pray to the Heavens, that whosoever killed our one and only Ariel should be caught, and massacred just the way Ariel was massacred."

Ariel's mother, Mrs. Luna Mila kept weeping and her husband, Mr. Luna Levi, consoled his wife. He moved her to his chest to pat her head.

"That man and his family didn't even show up at all, should have known that they didn't really care..."

"Who?" Mrs. Luna replied him, wiping her pink cheeks with a little handkerchief, and then she continued.

"Are you talking about Mr. Creed?"

"Yes, we have known each other for years, his daughter and our daughter have been together since birth..."

"Well, we shouldn't blame them, Mr Creed has a lot to take care of and... let's forget about that, we should do whatever it takes to bring that boy, Miller Denzel to book."

They moved together to join the crowd that already moved to the last headstone to perform the final ritual.

LION UNIVERSITY.

"Hey, isn't that Ted Dalton? The friend of Denzel and the rest?"

"Yeah he is the one.. He didn't even attend his friend's funeral."

"How could he? Maybe he joined hands with Denzel, that murderer."

Ted cared less about what they said, he always preferred to let them have their say about him, since it would be a drag talking back to them, so he just kept on walking, paying no attention to them.

Ted had already walked past the walkway, preparing to enter the building his lecture hall was at when he noticed the men that stood at the entrance, they were the H.I.B.

"Holy Shit!" Ted turned back the moment he said that and he ran, as fast as he could. He hadn't even gone far, when he encountered two men in suits and they stopped him.

"Dalton Ted?"

Ted knew he was done for the moment he heard his name, he knew they came for Denzel and it was only natural that they would want question him since Denzel went missing.

"Yes sir." Ted replied reluctantly

"We are from Hilldale Investigation Bureau, you are to follow us for some questioning."

The men took Ted by his arm and Ted immediately forced his arm out.

"I would follow, don't hold me please."

The two men looked at each other and they pulled back their hands. they got into a van and they left the school premises.

It was about fifty minutes when the van drove into a parking space and the van came to a halt. The men came out and Ted followed and they all walked into the building. Then they took him to an interrogation room.

"Dalton Ted is it?"

"Yes" Ted gave the man a stern look, he was angry at the fact that no matter what he tells them, they were going to turn the whole story around.

"I am Lucas Jane, and I am sure you know why you are here."

"I think I know why I am here, but I have nothing to say to you."

The man sat down and placed his both arms on the table.

"Firstly what do you have to say about that massacre?"

"Nothing."

"We know you were absent that day, but it's strange, don't you think, why was it only you that was left out? You didn't go on an excursion with them, and with what I heard from your schoo, you were always with them."

Ted kept shut.

"You have to say something, you didn't even attend their funeral, when they were your closest friends and also, when you sighted us at your school, you took off, and all these add up to something, that you were an accomplice, and that you must have planned this whole thing with the culprit."

Ted was teary, as he saw where the whole thing was going to.

"Sir, I apologize for my rudeness in advance, but do you have evidence?"

"No, and that's why we are questioning you right now, why didn't you go on the trip with them? The only answer I can think of is that you knew that was going to happen so you stayed behind so you could stay free."

"Mr. Jane!!! Do you even know what really happened? You are only here asking me all these because your superiors have giving you false information and they've ordered you to say all these right?"

"Dalton Te-"

"The whole thing is just so annoying... we were on our way Autumn park with that bitch, I brought up the topic of her being a trai..." Ted kept yelling and pointing to nowhere and he stopped, when he realized that all he was saying was pointless, the whole story had been changed, so him telling them that was only going to complicate things.

"Dalton Ted, it seems you were referring to a female, the only girl there was Luna Ariel, is that who you are referring to?"

"No sir, it's not Ariel, I meant to say I have nothing to do with it, I woke up late, and when I realized they abandoned me, I went to school, that's all."

"No no, you have to continue what you were saying earlier, you said you were on your way to Autumn park or something."

"I was just ranting. Just as expected, I wasn't present, and I knew nothing about the killing."

"Well you are released today. Since we have no evidence and since you have decided to be stone headed. The man who drove them there says he has a testimony to give so after questioning him tomorrow, we would know whether you are innocent or not."

Ted hissed and got up from his seat.

"I am not done, sit down."

Ted hated the way he was being commanded but he sat down, knowing that it would be pointless being stubborn.

"Do you know where Miller Denzel might be hidden? I am sure you know he is lost

We have a search warrant to search and seize anything that maybe related to this incident, we are also checking if Denzel might be hidden in your house."

"No problems sir, but I will just say, Denzel is nowhere in my house."

"We will all go in our van, you inclusive, we are heading to your house right now, the technical department have gotten the location of your house already."

They all got up and moved out, and during the whole thing, Ted Kept didn't say a word.
