New Light!

Looking over to where Itachi was, I could see him getting closer to Izumi's house. Deciding to proceed I grabbed the girl at my feet by her neck and gave a kick to her abdomen.

"Gah…"

She gasped and I could see her gain some clarity in her eyes. As she saw me, her Sharingan flared and she tried to move her arms, only for them to swing a little and for her to wince in pain.

"Don't try, I dislocated your joints while you were sleeping…"

"What do you want from me?" – she asked as she kept her Sharingan up.

"That's cold, do you know that I just saved your life?"

"You saved me? By attacking and disabling me?" – she asked with fury in her eyes.

"Meh… details. Aren't you more interested in who is it that I saved you from? You can never guess it."

Bringing her head next to mine, I put my other hand on her mouth, keeping her from screaming, and pointed her head towards Itachi. Immediately she started to wriggle to try and shout out to him.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, After all, don't you see what he's left behind him?"

As she focused her attention behind Itachi she saw the corpses of her fellow clansmen lying in pools of blood, and the only one holding a sword was Itachi.

"Women, children… everyone you have ever known, laughed with or loved within this clan, Itachi has already killed or will kill them all."

Her eyes wide she tried to move out of my grip but I forced her to watch.

"Look at him, bit by bit… isn't he almost at your house? "

This time her Sharingan started to rotate slowly as she tried to break off of my grip. Her muffled voice could barely be heard.

"Do you think you can stop him? You can't… after all, he was going to do the same to you. Tell me how did it feel to watch your father die? You must have told Itachi right? Even despite knowing that, knowing that you love him… he will still KILL YOUR MOTHER. THE ONLY FAMILY YOU HAVE LEFT."

As my voice started to come out as a beast's growl, Izumi seemed not to notice as her brain registered my words and her Sharingan started to spin even faster.

As Itachi stopped in front of Izumi's house, she gained a little hope, a little hope that he wouldn't do what I said, that he would stop… and it was crashed in one swoop as terror and desperation set in. Izumi struggled desperately to remove my grip but was powerless and finally saw Itachi leave her house, heading towards the next one. Izumi was standing still, her eyes refusing to believe the sight in front of her, a sight she could never forget.

Once Itachi was out of sight, I used body flicker to get both of us into her house, her mother's corpse laying in the living room. This was the tipping point as I could actually feel the chakra rushing towards her eyes, through my hand on her neck.

I saw her eyes take a familiar shape and afterward, I felt the chakra levels in her body rise. Once it reacher the tipping point… I felt it trying to release, her Mangekyou starting to rotate… as I broke her neck.

"I'm sorry my dear, but I just wasn't keen on starting from the beginning with these eyes, when an opportunity was at my doorstep to just skip straight to the useful part."

As I opened my eyes I could feel the pinwheels rotate… the only difference with Itachi's being that they were pointed in the other direction.

"I wonder… is it because of how much you loved him… or how much you hated him in the final moments?"

Slowly I made my way outside the house… where 3 shinobi were standing, waiting for me apparently. They escaped my detection while I was focused on Izumi… but the chakra outburst while strong shouldn't be able to be picked up beyond 3 to 4 houses… meaning a sensor was nearby…

As I slowly walked, I spread out my senses to search for the sensor but couldn't find him, meaning he was decently skilled with a much wider range than mine. The compound was so much quieter now, meaning that I had to finish up as well… with no survivors.

Two were hiding on the roof of Izumi's house, making the total to 5 enemy combatants.

'Tsukuyomi' -as I locked eyes with one of the root ninja's, I cast the genjutsu on him.

As soon as I cast Tsukuyomi I immediately vanished and appeared behind another root, sending 3 shurikens towards the backs of the 3 others and planting a punch directly into this one's spine, sending him crashing towards the house.

Only one second had passed as I flickered out of sight again to appear behind the shinobi's whom I had thrown the shurikens, missing two completely and hitting one in the leg… I was aiming for their head.

As I appeared behind them once again, kicking the guy on the side, sending another 2 shurikens towards the already wounded shinobi, one accidentally hitting him in the head and flickering away again, this time appearing right in front of the last shinobi, Shovingmy hand into his chest, breaking the blade he was holding in two and consuming him at the moment.

As I made rounds towards the dead shinobi's I made sure to consume each of them and pick up their tanto, kunai, and shuriken. I couldn't exactly go to a store and buy them for another 2 years.

There was 1 Mid-Jonin and 4 high-chunin. Focusing on Body Flicker was the right choice, for now, I couldn't take them in taijutsu but they wouldn't hurt me either… but they could escape. Now bar the Raikage few can escape from me. Nevertheless, this time I overcharged the Flicker Jutsu to end the battle fast and not allow them to employ a long-range attack, after all, I only had supplementary Jutsu's in my arsenal and a terrible aim.

"The eyes work incredibly… before my body would adapt to defend against attacks… now I can learn to counterattack in seconds. It's like these eyes were made for me, we even share the same colors. Thank you, Izumi… and thank you Itachi. It wouldn't have happened without you."

As I stretched I decided to look at my new status, the experience of the shinobis flashing in front of my eyes. This time it was different, no civilians or genins, a Jonin, and 4 chunin were much more than a few civilians. My stats had risen sharply… and my body could now accommodate the rapid growth of my chakra capacity, granted it was inferior to a Jinchuriki's growth… for now.

Deciding against checking my status in the open I flickered away at top speed when a few notifications appeared.
