108 Hypocrite.

(3rd Person POV)

Listening closely to the toad, Kei carefully contemplated his words. For now, they meant next to nothing, for his foreseeable goal, it also meant next to nothing.

Suddenly, Kei's thoughts came to a grounding halt as he felt a change inside the room, something he hadn't felt until this point.

As one Sharingan rotated in his left eye, a Byakugan appeared on his right. The chakra system within the Sage was barely functional, and quickly degrading even further.

The Toad's lifeforce was rapidly decreasing, taking a nosedive with unprecedented speed.

Due to his presence and chakra smothering the Toad's, not to mention the injuries and the Sage's own age, he didn't give it much thought before… but this deterioration was quite certainly much more severe than anything he could be causing on his own.

As he carefully, observed, through the thick veil of natural energy, it almost seemed as if the Sage was being turned into a solid substance from inside out…

It didn't take Kei more than a second to figure out that the Toad had chosen a rather unusual form of suicide, a rather controlled form of petrification by overindulging in nature chakra, slowly petrifying himself from the most unnecessary organs and now was about to bid him goodbye.

*BANG*

The ground exploded into pieces as Kei's hand-blade met a black staff held in hand by the Toad-Sage, blocking his advance as Kei felt his Nature energy being siphoned away.

A burst of dark chakra and nature energy exploded forth, flooding the room as Kei's hand-blade shattered the black rod with force rather than cutting through it.

Smiling slightly at Kei, The Toad sage had used the Sage chakra from Kei to increase the petrification rate to an absurd level, which was only possible due to the amount of nature chakra Kei had thrown toward him.

As all his momentum had stopped, Kei's back shifted as two holes opened up, a massive concentration of chakra unleashing from them a moment later as Kei was propelled towards the Toad Sage, closing the barely 1-meter gap immediately as his hand-blade nicked the Sage's forehead, heading directly towards his brain.

The Toad didn't look surprised as he continued his petrification, but Kei's eyes widened slightly as he failed to penetrate further, a weird gleam and look in his eyes as if the Sage was not even there anymore. He was clearly looking at something else, something nobody else present was capable of seeing.

As if in a daze, Kei's eyes remained open as he fell back, crashing into the ground, and his weight did the rest, as Kei seemed lost in thought, all his control and chakra used to keep him above ground despite his weight was disabled.

As Kei fell back, The Toad Sage took the opportunity, disregarding Manda who suddenly smashed through his body, to fully petrify himself as his head, the only part left of his body, was shortly turned into stone as well.

Manda saw Kei breaking through the mountain and continuing descending at a rapid rate. Wasting no moment, The giant snake broke through the Toad Sage's abode, heading down the mountain at an incredible speed, surpassing Kei's falling one, as he suddenly took a turn, breaking straight into the mountain with his head and coming out the other side a moment later with Kei laying down in his face.

"Heavy!!!" – the snake said to no one in particular as he could barely hold his face up.

Nevertheless, Manda tried to wake his master up but to no avail as Kei's mind seemed to be entirely focused on something else within his mind.

Throwing an eye towards the mess he had created, Manda knew he had to destroy the entire mountain now, as unless there were mutant worms of gigantic sizes as summons, anybody would be able to deduce who had been here.

(Kei POV)

I was too impatient, too greedy for that Toad's memories, starting to absorb the Toad as soon as my blade cut through him… only for this to happen as soon as I absorbed but a drop of his blood.

I was somewhere in outer space, a blue planet below next to a familiar red moon with black tomoe that made it look just like the Rinne-Sharingan. Only a few faint lives could be felt from them as upon closer inspection, the celestial bodies were clearly battered and broken, sporting large unfamiliar and unnatural markings on their bodies, clear signs of large-scale battles and jutsu being used. On the moon, a giant gash was visible, created off-center as most of the moon was still intact, as if something punctured straight through it, yet somehow it still kept mostly together, numerous pieces blown off floating nearby.

'I clearly had a hand in that.' – Kei summarised as he looked at the scene in front of him.

'So... is this how the Toad gets enlightened and makes up prophecies. Or is just this one of mine that happens to be so vague?'

I slowly felt a terrifying presence creeping its way towards me from behind. It was powerful too powerful… and it was intent on keeping my sights from it.

I couldn't turn around, I couldn't shapeshift from my human form and my vision could only look forward as the presence only became more suffocating, increasing in pressure and magnitude until my entire view turned black, bringing me back to the present.

'Well… maybe not so vague after all.'

(3rd Person POV)

Waking up with a start, Kei heard a bang as he felt the rumble beneath him.

Looking around he noticed his hasty rise had caused Manda who was having a tough time balancing him on his own face, to fall rather pathetically on the ground.

Quickly recalling the last events before what could only be called as a glimpse of the future, Kei looked down at Manda.

"Manda… you certainly are taking it easy today." – He spoke as he lazily looked at the snake laying down below him

"L-Lord Uchiha, this…" – Manda squeezed out with almost a whine as he tried to explain the situation.

"What happened to the Toad?" – Kei cut Manda's words as he simply looked back at the mountain.

"Turned into stone, my lord. …Mostly… smashed…" – The 'by me' part went unspoken as Manda's eyes darted slightly away.

Silence slowly set in as Manda's eyes slowly turned back towards his master. The scales on his body almost jumped away from inf right as it noticed the savage grin on "Kei's" face.

"So…not only did he play around with me, leading me by the nose, but he also denied me my prize… he… hehehe…hehehehe..." – Kei laughed as anger started to swell up within him.

He had always CHOSEN, whether to take something or not, weighing advantages and disadvantages as he did with wiping out the Kage's instead of consuming them. If not, it had been because the circumstances didn't allow for it… but never had he been denied his prize because someone had outsmarted him… played him as he played with others for entire years.

'I… hate it… … … Hahaha… I guess I am very hypocritical. I'll keep my promise, for pretense's sake if nothing else… your clan is safe for now old Toad, but you just brought something really important to my attention. There are more than just mortals in this universe. If I have doubts about my own ability to catch your little prodigy, the fourth Hokage… then I'll just have to depend on greater means than what I'm capable of… DIVINE means.' – Kei's smile grew as his blood-red Sharingan focused on the mountain in front of him.

Holding his hand out, a small white cube formed in Kei's hand, slowly growing out of proportions as it enveloped the entire mountain within it.
