'Check!'

"Since everybody is present, let us start then. Councilors… with your permission, I would like to introduce some concerning issues…"

The council had been gathered. There were a lot of civilians, all of them siding with me, except for Koharu, Homura, and Danzo. The rest were the respective clan head, including me. I couldn't remember this many being part of the council in the anime. Guess the political part was simplified as even I didn't find it entertaining… though there was no denying the power it gave you over this village.

As I spoke the civilian council representers nodded together with clan heads while Danzo, Koharu, and Homura merely watched silently. They knew I was up to something. It was funny watching 3 elderly being this apprehensive towards someone half their height and one 7th their age. Taking the initiative was half the battle won. I proved myself unafraid to take charge, presenting myself as a natural-born leader.

"Then, as the first problem, we will need to appoint a new Hokage. The third had yet to appoint his successor at the time of his passing so combed through our shinobi and believe to have found a capable shinobi to take up the position."

"Would that be yourself Kei Uchiha?" – Shikaku asked as he eyed me carefully.

I smiled lightly. My prestige had broken through the ceiling. It was normal for someone with enough brain cells to capitalize on it and take the position of power in front of them. I still think he underestimated me a little, maybe subconsciously due to my age.

"No, my candidate would be Tsunade Senju. Given the last report I was able to recover on her it seems as she is able to match Orochimaru and other Kage level opponents in battle. We would have to send out someone to find her and bring her back. I would suggest leaving it to Jiraya-san and his information network to retrieve her." – I said as I smiled slightly at Shikaku who narrowed his eyes further.

"And why not consider Jiraya-dono for the Hokage position?" – Koharu asked pointedly at me.

"First of all he doesn't want the position, and second… the people of Konoha need some assurance, and what better assurance than the descendant of one of the founding clans. In simpler terms, his background is lacking compared to the Senju name." – I replied to Koharu who sat back down begrudgingly.

"Am I wrong Jiraya-san?" – I said looking at a corner of the room where Jiraya was leaning on the wall.

"No, you are right." – He responded back, while the civilian council all turned their heads to look at Jiraya.

As I was about to sit down a younger member of the civilian council spoke up.

"Why not you Uchiha-sama? You held back the first and second Hokage singlehandedly." – He said loudly, looking somewhat embarrassed afterward.

"I too am a prime candidate and I certainly have the power to protect the village, though I believe my fellow clan heads consider me too young to take up the position of Hokage." – I said, stating a fact. Still, I believe it came out differently to them.

"You are still but a child." – Homura said looking down at me.

"I suggest you watch your words councilor. Child or not I am a clan head and I deserve the respect that comes with my position." – I said looking at him with my black eyes. The last thing I needed was to be accused of using the Sharingan here.

As we were staring at each other another of the civilian councilors spoke.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't shinobi believe in strength first and foremost? Age is but a number in a shinobi's life and he can already be considered an adult." – He spoke as a lot of heads nodded in acknowledgment and another councilor also rose up.

"… The Legendary Sanin… can they compare with Uchiha-sama in power?" – he asked carefully, turning towards Jiraya while prompting others to look as well.

"…" – Jiraya didn't speak as he also carefully looked at me then closed his eyes. This prompted many to start whispering and nodding to each other.

Jiraya couldn't disagree with them. He knew that if he denied that he was weaker than me it could backfire in him and Tsunade very badly. He didn't have the confidence to defeat me… and that lack of confidence told me that he has been keeping tabs on me, investigating me. Since I had thrown Tsunade as a candidate that would be his lifeline to stop me from gaining power… unless the clan council was unanimous in their rejection of my candidacy leading to a standstill between the civilians and the shinobi.

Even the civilian council couldn't interfere with brute force in Konoha shinobi's vital decisions… unless there was a conflict and they supported one side. This would prompt one side to have the civilian council as well as at least part of the shinobi council, making them a majority.

As soon as my thoughts finished Jiraya looked towards Shikaku, who looked at him then back at me.

"While I do believe Kei Uchiha to have the power of a kage… I don't believe he has gained enough experience to be nominated as a possible candidate." – Shikaku said looking towards his left, where the Akimichi clan head was sitting.

"I agree with Shikaku." – He said as Shikaku nodded, looking to his right, to the Yamanaka clan head.

"I also agree." – He said as Shikaku nodded.

And so continued the spiral. Shikaku had surely been busy, convincing even the Sarutobi clan head, currently Asuma Sarutobi to keep quiet. So much for their support but it was all good and fine.

"I disagree. I believe Kei Uchiha has shown incredible leadership skills as well as that he is wise beyond his years. He has been head of his clan since the age of 7 and has been a member of this council for as long. I believe I have no need to remind you not once has he been lacking during all our meetings." – Hiashi said with a stoic look on his face, making Shikaku turn to him with a surprised look on his face.

Hiashi's word lit a fuse, making Danzo, Homura, Koharu as well as the other shinobi's gathered here do a double-take. The Hyuga clan, possibly the biggest public enemy of the Uchiha in the village were supporting me, the Uchiha patriarch. It almost made me want to use Kotoamatsukami on the Second Hokage and make him say those words… almost… but he would probably snap out of the genjutsu or his brain would rather die.

As the meeting continued it was decided that I would take the duties of Hokage until Tsunade returned, postponing the final decision, but giving me the power of Hokage for long enough to execute the next phase of my plan. As we all made to leave in our respective directions I looked towards Shikaku, who immediately narrowed his eyes towards me as well. He was trying to figure out what I intended. Probably wondering why I caved to being a temporary Hokage when I could have been a permanent one with a little more struggle. It was fun to make a Nara work this much.

As we looked at each other I mouthed a word towards him as his expression twisted a little. Oh, how fun it was to watch someone struggle at their own game.

'Check!' - My smirk widened as my Sharingan rotated.
