1 CHAPTER:1

Clarissa POV:

Today, as any other day in my whole 18 years of living was as normal as any day could get, that's until later that night , when everything took a turn for the worst .

it was later that night that I knew nothing would be the same , I still remember it like it was yesterday , the vivid images engraved in my brain .

The sound of gunshots still clear as day as they filled the serenity of the castle , people scattering around finding safety behind furniture , shrill screams were released from all corner of the castle , my face slowly being drained of colour , from the ongoing scene before me , goosebumps rippling allover my skin as I heard numerous footsteps approach me , my pace slowly quickened as they got louder ,and when a rough hand took ahold of me I was trapped in a haze of utter shock , I didn't move , speak or put up a fight , but as I was slowly turned I saw a glimpse of Nicolai bronze curled hair , and I let go of the air I didn't know I was holding , my vision slowly started to blur as Nicolai murmured incoherent words to me , trying not to scare me , more than I already was .

But as fast as I could blink trying to get words out to Nicolai to show I was okay , he was on the ground , blood staining my night gown as I shakily reached out for him but then suddenly my attention was caught by a figure , who was smiling sinisterly , his features clocked in the darkness he seemed to be consumed of , and with a slight move of Nicolai's hands and a few incoherent murmurs he was lit ablaze , and that's when everything went blank.

present time :

I pounced out of bed sweat concealing my whole forehead as my heart hammered inside my chest ,Nicolai , Ethan and Carlos sat at the end of the room as they whispered to each other , but only loud enough for them to hear ,their heads slowly turned in my direction due to my sudden movement and hell broke loose as they all scampered towards me and bombarded me with questions " Are you okay ?" , " what do you remember ?' " Do you need anything?" Are you thirsty ?"

I chuckled at their childish behaviour " guys , I just woke up ,from I don't know what , and trust me I'm no doctor but I don't believe its the write time to ask me these many questions "

A round of chuckles echoed throughout the room , as my brothers looked at each other smirks plastered on each of their faces as they seemed to have a conversation I was unaware of , that giving me time to analyse my surrounding , from the oakwood flooring and doors to the bed I was laying in at the moment , the chandeliers that rested atop of the room illuminating it in a cozy shade of white and yellow hues , it all held a simplistic but cozy demeanour.

And at that moment that's when everything decided to hit me , memories of the night came rushing back , thousands of questions gathered up in my mind , and my face once again slowly began to pale my brothers taking notice of this reached out to me and hugged me , I was inclosed in a bundle of muscle , " its okay sis calm down " I didn't even realise I had started hyperventilating "we can explain " " everything ?" I asked " everything".

I took slow breaths trying to regain my once calm state , and looked at my brothers who were intently watching me ." where's Aiden ?"

Nothing , no one said anything and that , infuriated me, , al l my other brothers stared at me w lips pursed , heads held low .

"how about you Nicolai , you were shot , how are you okay ?"

"how long have I been out? " I asked frantically the looks on their faces not making me feel any better .

my question were left unanswered , fear crippling every part of me ,what's going on? , where the hell am I ? what the firkin hell happened that night at the castle ,and where the damn hell is Aiden ?????!!

"wIll explain everything at dinner , get cleaned up " wow did I say that out loud , oppsies , "I've left clean clothes for you in the bathroom , everything is going to be just fine sis . Nicolai gave me a warm smile and made me feel a bit better, he's always had a way with his words . "

They all scattered out of the room leaving me alone with my thoughts as I waddled to the bathroom, scared of what was to come at dinner.

As I got out of the shower , I rapped myself in a pink fluffy towel as my dark chocolate hair cascaded down my back , I fetched my clothes , quickly putting them on in a hurry to get answers .

As I left the room I was situated in I heard the clanking of pots and pans , a small smile finding it way on my face imagining how my brothers were supposed to make 'dinner' " well I'm royally screwed" I muttered with a slight chuckle ,and hurridly I walked through random hallways , following the noises of pans being hit , and at what I saw I couldn't hold back the laughter that can bubbling out of me .

" wh-w -whaat happened to making dinner , guys "I chocked out through my laughter , Nicolai looking as red as a tomato , probably cause of the sauce that covered his head but he still looked pissed , but that wasn't going to stop me from laughing , Carlos looked horrified as he was pinned to floor by a way bigger Nicolai but managed to put on a small smirk and mutter the , words that would probably lead to his death " bro I know for a fact that I'm hot I just don't like the idea of us doing it in a kitchen and in-front of our innocent sister either , although i know we could pull it off, I could possibly put in some consideration though , cause you know we came out of the same vagina and everything what do you say , that's if you behave of of course ," he added with a wink he wiggled his eyebrows at Nicolai causing chuckles to come from both Ethan and I who was now that noticed was leaking sauce of a spoon , but Nicolai didn't seem to appreciate Carlos's choice of affection , cause he grew even redder ,

causing more hysterical laughter to pass through the room ,until I managed to shoo him of Carlos before he passed out from lack of oxygen, and had to fight off Ethan so he could stop leaking the damn spoon , as I had finished taking care of these idiots ,I made something small with what we had and layed it out on the small wooden table with the help of Ethan , " BOYYSS DINNER" I yelled as both of them came out of wherever they were from and Nicolai looked like he had taken a well needed shower as Carlos came in looking like a beaming mess , but that just seemed to anger Nicolai even more , which made me laugh but I tried my best to suppress the chuckle or Nicolai would have my head , as we sat down , I knew that I was finally going to get my questions answered , that's when the happy demeanour that once surrounded the house died down and all eyes were on me .

Nicolai took a deep sigh and let it the air out through his nose ,

"Ask away sis".
