Chapter 58 Figure It Out

When they arrived at the entrance of the hospital, Charlie ran into the building with Elsie in his arms. The authoritative doctor of the orthopaedics department was already waiting for him, and Charlie wasted no time sending her into the examination room. Then, the doctor examined Elsie's ankle. Her ankle was severely sprained and had been crushed by the car door. The obvious bruises on her fair skin were gnarly to look at.

Charlie mumbled under his breath, blaming himself non-stop. "It's all my fault! If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have been hurt!"

Meanwhile, Elsie gritted her teeth as her eyes were red with tears. As she was too embarrassed to cry in front of so many people, she refrained from making any noises. At this, Charlie gave her his hand and said, "Bite my hand. You will feel better."

"It's so dirty!" she spat.

Immediately, he went to wash his hands and offered his hand again. "It's clean now."
