Exchanging an Ending for a Beginning

I'm not sure where to begin. Most would say the beginning, and I would agree except that I have fragments of a story from before it started.

Despite what most people believe, all universes have magic. It just happens that the magic goes into the physics and materials of some worlds and there isn't enough for standard mana manipulation. Even in such realities, the Cycle is maintained allowing mana to flow from one reality to the next.

On Earth most mana is in electrical and divination form and is tied up in our mental power giving us a unique mental process when compared to the other planes. This monopoly of mental mana is what allows us to use the inequality of the Cycle to create technology and is what we call entropy.

I started as another normal kid who hates going to class and prefers to be online ingesting the ideas of others.

One day as I was driving to an afternoon class a man appeared on the highway in front of me forcing me to swerve into the next lane. Since I had no time to check, I failed to see the car speeding past me leading to me clipping the racing vehicle. Upon hitting their bumper my car spun out of control and I was thrown into the oncoming traffic where a truck was greeting me without remorse.

The last thing that went through my mind was 'Truck-kun prevented me from finishing the last few weeks of my music playlist.'

"Who was he?" asked one of the officers on the scene.

"His name was Jeremy Walker. He was a good if unmotivated kid who spent his time collecting information rather than studying," replied the first responder.

"Do we have any idea why he suddenly swerved?"

"No, witnesses claimed that he just swerved at the truck next to him. We suspect suicide."

"I wish that this damn smell of cinnamon and ozone would leave."

"Yeah, we have no clue where that's coming from and neither do the guys in forensics."

Unbeknownst to the two, there was an onlooker listening in from a mile away. He stood there for an hour before muttering to himself at which point he began to shimmer and disappeared.

After this I had no concept of time and only felt pain for an unknown amount of time with a vague sense of dramatic shifts in scenery around me before finally seeing a woman's face in front of me. She was rather pretty with white hair and blue eyes so flawless they captured your soul. She was speaking words I didn't understand and I was also getting a raging headache that felt like it was tearing my mind into shreds and I began to panic as I could feel my memories begin to collapse and fold into an empty space within me. As soon as the headache began, it had left and this time I had no knowledge of anything amiss.

Due to a lack of understanding as a child the first few years were pretty meaningless and served to teach me language and basic identity. I came to learn that I am Naland Stormwind, the son of two great magician nobles in the kingdom of Astarell. Due to my heritage I will be learning magic with a better focus than most which should boost me above most commoners with just a few years training.

This is my story where I learn the properties of magic.

I'm not a writer so this will be all over the place but I wanted to take a stab at building a world. I appreciate every one of you who decide to give me a chance.
