Chapter 32

"I'm ready for our next lesson." I bounced on my toes, pretending to punch the air.

"Does your father know?" Chase questioned, putting down his gun.

I paused to look at him, puzzled, "Why does he have to know? Who even is he?"

"Your father." He pulled back his eye shield down from around his head and aimed at the board, firing three consecutive shots.

One on the head.

Second and third on the left side where the heart would be.

I snatched the gun from him and fired in the exact same spots he had, before turning to giving him a pointed stare, "Don't even for a moment think I don't know what I'm doing. I just need you to help me with training physically and if you can't, I can ask literally anyone else." Chase's gaze softened and he looked at me apologetically but I just sighed, dropping the gun on a table, "That man might be my father but he didn't raise me. I know he has eyes all over this place and knows what I'm doing, I just don't care. So?"

"Fine, let's go."
