27 Chapter 27

Chaahat opened her eyes and found herself in the protective envelope of Mithran’s arms. Her head was on his chest and he was holding her firmly against him.

By now, she must be used to this. No matter how far they go to sleep, she finds herself in his arms every morning. And everytime she wakes up that way, her heart skips a beat.

The only relief in this is that she always wakes up before Mithran. So he never realises that he slept through the night with her in his arms.

Chaahat laid there and her eyes ran over his face. A strand of hair was on his forehead and she gently moved it away. He looked so peaceful when asleep. His mischievous eyes are closed.

Suddenly the image of a pair of wicked blue green eyes flashed through her brain and she took her hands off him as if it burned.

Chaahat closed her eyes and took deep breaths before getting out of Mithran’s hold.

What was I thinking? Oh god! Why am I like this when Mithran is around? She thought to herself helplessly.
