19 Chapter 19

“It’s okay darling. I am here” Mithran mumbled, as he cradled a trembling Chaahat in his arms.

He was confused and worried at the sudden panic attack. What could have caused such an extreme reaction in the usually composed and emotionless woman.

“Let’s get you back to the apartment” he mumbled softly, and carried her bridal style to the elevator, which took them to his apartment.

Chaahat’s fist was convulsively clutching at his shirt, as though seeking some sort of security.

He gently placed her on the bed and was about to walk out to get some water for her. But she held on tightly to him, not letting him move.

“Don’t go. Please don’t go” she mumbled and he gave in.

He got into the bed and cuddled her close. He held her all the while, murmuring sweet nothings, until her breathing became normal.

He watched, as she slowly dozed off in his arms.

Chaahat is a total mystery.
