New world

It was dark, like a endless void . In it, there was a single conciseness, moments away from waking up.

'Ughh, wh-where am I', even though there was no sound this entity could still think on its own.

'Is this hell? Was I a bad girl? NO! I was not! What was the last thing I can remember... ah yes, my mother... and that man...', at that moment some memories started to come back.

-FLASHBACK-

Year 1916, somewhere in the South-Eastern Europe

*tap tap tap tap* A young woman, with medium long light brown color hair and deep blue eyes, was running in the middle of the forest, while carrying little girl, probably no more the four years old. Girl had the same colour hair and eyes as her mother, hair was short with small ponytail on the right side. In the distance could be heard gunshots, probably coming from the direction of a village that was their home.

Sadly their chance to escape are low, the village was surrounded before the attack on it did begin.

Approaching an large old tree, mother stopped putting the girl down.

"Heidi, please listen carefully, bad man are coming and I need you to hide under this tree, it was a place me and your dad used to hide when we whare little from your grandpa. I'll try to distract them. If we don't see each other, please try to live a good life, find a good husband and have a lot of children. I know everyone thinks you are weird in the village, but I know you are not, you are special! One very special girl." Saying all that she hugs her daughter for probably the last time and pushes her to hide under the tree.

Strangely, thru all this time, even seeing her father get shot in the head , before being carried away by her mother, little girls face never showed any emotion, no happiness, no sadness and no tears. As she got under the tree, her mom turned around to leave.

Before getting to far a loud sound was heard and the women fell, not moving. Girl was just looking at it laying on the ground with a blank stare. Not long after, heavy footsteps could be heard.

A youthful voice could be heard coming from the man carrying a gun on his hands and a short knife on the left side of his belt.

"This should be e everyone", the youth said, "Didn't she carry a little girl? Well does not matter, even if she escapes what can untrained and uneducated child even do? Not to mention she probably is not even five years old". Strangly enough, he was saying that while looking a a certain tree, as if he know the the girl was hidden underneath. "Oh well, guess I'll just report that both are dead, it is not like anyone will look for evidence or anything!" Saying that, the youth turned around and left in the direction of the village.

Even though he left, girl stayed under the tree, looking between the corpse of her mother and the direction of the village. She did that for a long time. As the sun was going down, it was getting darker and darker. But the girl did not move, even when her stomach started to complain duo to need to eat. It was ignored and as the night fell, tired and hungry girl fell asleep.

In the morning, with first sunrays faling through the hole on a girls face,she started to struggle to get up, hitting her head, forgetting she was under the tree for a moment, taking some time remember what happened the day before. First checking outside if it was safe, she crawled out not seeing any danger. Standing up a slight headache hit her, with dizziness.

Taking a moment to recover, she started to walk to the, now completely cold, body of her mother and sat down next to it, looking for a moment before hugging it. Time slowly passed, but she did not move.

Near evening, a fox was passing by smelling the blood in a certain direction, it went there, only to find two body's laying there motionless, approaching closer it found both are cold, breathing no more.

-FLASHBACK END-

'Ughhh... how weird, why did I not leave or try to look for another settlement? It feels like some memories are missing, yet I got knowledge child should not have. How confusing.'

Stopping to think, it tried to look where this place is, maybe have not died, only is in a dark place. But it could not even tell in what direction it was looking or if it still got eyes. It could tell it was surrounded by something soft or maybe liquid.
