Unconscious

'Kasai. Kasai.' He hears someone calling his name in the distance. When he opens his eyes all he can see is white. "Am I dead? What's going on?" He walks around for a little and sees someone up ahead, but he can't see him clearly. He puts his guard up. "Who are you?" He asks. The strange figure doesn't answer nor react to his question. "Where are we, the afterlife?"

The strange figure finally speaks. "No, its more like your subconscious."

Kasai looks at him confused. "My what?

The strange being sighs sarcastically. "Your MIND dummy!"

Kasai looks all around, 'So this is my mind? Its pretty blank.'

"I know what your probably thinking, Your mind is pretty blank."

"What th- Are you a mind reader or something!?" Kasai shouts.

The strange being laughs, "Nah, your face is just really easy to read."

Kasai grits his teeth in frustration. "I don't have time for this! I need to get out of here I promised I'd protect her!"

"Huh? Protect who?"

Kasai stops in his tracks and tries to recall the girl's name. "I- I can't remember, it was something boyish like Arnold? Arthur?

"I think you mean Adrien."

"Yeah. Yeah! Her name was Adrie- wait how did you know her name? Have you been following us? Just what the heck is going on!?"

"Listen kiddo, I'm not about to play 27 questions with you. I'll only answer three of your questions. I'll answer you're questions and you answer mine. Deal?" The strange being says as it stands in front of him.

Kasai looks at the being from head to toe but still can't make out any direct features about it. "Okay. Deal.

First question. Who or what are you?

The strange being smiles and gives him a blank answer. "I'm manifestation of you in your LOST gene form, I'm basically the aura and the ability you possess."

Kasai's eyes go wide and he backs up from the strange being. "Wha- but, I don't have any aura. I haven't been able to develop my ability yet!

"Oh? You mean you don't remember. Well its your own fault for getting so worked up over a girl. You lost control of your emotions and almost drained her to death, using up all her aura could've been fatal for you and her if you didn't let her go."

Kasai looks down in guilt for putting Adrien in even more danger, his eyes shoot up and look toward the strange beings direction. "Why now? Why now do you chose to show up? After all this time!"

"Hey! I don't have control it. When you came into contact with that girl's aura, it activated the gene's ability right then and there. As I told you, Its your fault for losing your cool."

"Alright then. Last question. Why? Why this girl? Why Adrien?" Kasai says as he ponders in his head for a few minutes. " When I saw her, I knew she was a stranger, but I felt like I knew her even before I talked to her. I didn't want her to let her go-" Kasai stops rambling on when the strange being interrupts him.

"Alright. Alright. I get it! Well, actually I don't get it. I don't know why or how this girl fits into all this, I myself thought that only boys could get the LOST gene. Sorry kid, your gonna hafta figure out this question yourself." The strange being starts to fade away and disappear from Kasai.

"Wai- but you can't just-" Kasai yells as he tries to grab the being, but grabs air instead. He starts to lose his balance and fall into a deep void.

"See ya kid! Hopefully when you come back you'll be ready to answer my questions!" The strange being yells while looking down into the void.

Kasai shoots up from his slumber and feels a stinging pain on the right side of his face. He tries to touch his face, but his hand is stopped. He looks down to see both of his wrist handcuffed to each sides of the hospital gurney. He tries to break out of the cuffs and pull them off his hands.

"Come on. Come on." He says to himself while straining.

"Your finally awake?"

Kasai flinches when he hears another voice in the room. He looks toward the door. "Katalina."

Katalina stands by the door with her arms crossed and a scowl on her face. She walks over towards his bed and strikes him across the face.

She stands over him with tears in her eyes yelling at him. "YOU IDIOT!"
