Impossible
Kasai looks down at the body in the wrecked Island cruiser. "What the-" he looks down in shock. "It's a girl?" He says. Kasai continues to stare at her not knowing what to do. He notices her covered in scratches and bruises. He reaches toward her to shake her awake. 'She's unconscious.' He places his fingers over her neck to check if she has a pulse, he sighs a breath of relief. 'But she's still alive.' He's still unsure of what he should do, the only other girl he's seen is Katalina. Kasai lifts her out of the cruiser by her shoulders and sets her down on the ground. 'I should call Katalina.' He thinks to himself as he pulls out his phone, he stops remembering his childish grudge against her. "I don't need her, I can handle this myself!" He shouts. "I'll just bring her to headquarters." He says trying to figure out a way to get her there. He stops for a while to look at the unconscious girl, he kneels down to get a closer look at her features. The first thing he noticed about her was her short blond hair, it was nothing special, but it made her look cute. He blushes, feeling embarrassed studying her so intently. He picks her up and carries her princess style, walking all the way to headquarters.
Adrien tosses and turns for a while, and notices that she's not in the vehicle anymore. She slowly opens her emerald green eyes and they widened when she sees a strange man carrying her, she gasps. "Wh-who are you!?" She says while struggling in his arms. "Hey, stop struggling before I drop you!" He says trying to hold her steady. "Ow!" She says. Adrien stops struggling and notices that she has scratches and bruises from when she crashed into that tree. She trembled and tears start to stream down her face.
Kasai could feel the girl tremble in his arms and he heard her weep 'Oh man, she's crying! What are you supposed to do when girls cry!?" He thinks to himself. "Don't worry, they probably won't charge you for damaging the Island cruiser." He says trying to make her feel better.
Adrien looks at him confused and angry, "That's not what I'm worried about dummy!" She shouts.
"Well at least your not crying anymore, do you feel better now!" He says smiling at her.
Adrien blushes at his comforting smile. 'No one has ever smiled at me like that. At least not for a while.' She thinks as she sits quietly in his arms.
"What's your name?" Kasai asks nonchalantly as her continues to carry her. "Huh? Oh! Adrien, Adrien Vanguard." She says.
"Adrien? Isn't that a boys name?" He says insensitively. "A Boys Name! For your information, it's a unisex name that my mother gave me-"
"Okay okay, jeez! Are all girls this sensitive?" Kasai asked. "Clearly you haven't met much girls." Adrien says sounding snobby.
"Your right, I've only met two so far, you and Katalina, and she's way less sensitive than you."
"Wait! You've only met two girls your whole entire life! Have you been living under a rock?" Adrien says astonished at his ignorance. "No, I've been living ON a rock, a very huge one of you wanna be precise." Kasai says.
"You lived on an island for most of your life! Must be nice." Adrien says not knowing what Kasai is talking about.
"What do you mean 'lived' I still live hear." He says. "Huh? Are you telling me that we're on an Island!" Adrien shouts. "Wow, you catch on quick don't you." Kasai says sarcastically. "How did I get on this island? Was it the men in the suits, they must've put me here." She says turning pale in the process. "Hey don't panic, I'm taking you to headquarters, they'll probably just patch you up and send you back to the mainland." Kasai says while looking at the cuts and bruises on her body. "Headquarters? Are you talking about the place with the underground lab and people in white coats?" Adrien asked hoping that's not what he meant. "Yeah? Have you been there already?" Kasai asked confused. Kasai feels a light tug on his shirt, he looks down and sees a change in Adrien's mood. "Please. Don't take me back there. I don't wanna hurt anyone again ." She says tearfully. "Huh? Why would you hurt anyone?" Kasai asks suspicious of why she didn't want to go back. Adrien looked away from him not wanting to tell him what she had done. Kasai stopped walking and held Adrien close to him in his arms. "Hey. I'm not gonna hand you over to the authorities or anything, but you need to be honest and tell me what you did." Kasai says as he makes Adrien look at him. Adrien starts to sob more profusely and tears stream down her pink cheeks. "It was an accident. I didn't mean to. I was just scared, the men in white armor, they had guns. I must've done something to make them upset." She said as she wiped her face with her bruised hand. "Why do you say that?" Kasai asked. "Because they aimed their guns at me and I somehow blasted them into the wall." Adrien said while looking up to meet Kasai's blue eyes. "That's impossible!" Kasai says as he looks down at Adrien with shock. "What do you mean?" Adrien asks. "What you just described, it sounds like you have the LOST gene." Kasai says.
"The LOST gene? What's the LOST gene?" Adrien asks, now scared of how Kasai's behavior has changed. "A gene developed inside of young adolescents, usually males, but how did-" Kasai gets cut off by Adrien's sudden shriek. Kasai was to engulfed by Adrien's story that he didn't even notice that they were surrounded by the Island's head security force. "Kasai." He heard a male voice say from behind the guards. Kasai narrowed his eyes and stood up with Adrien in his arms. He turned towards the direction of the voice. "Lucien." He said coldly. Kasai looked behind Lucien and saw Katalina and Jiro standing beside him. "Kasai. The girl is unstable. You need to hand her over to us." Lucien says as he takes one step forward.
Adrien holds on to Kasai's shirt and looks at him pleadingly.
"Sorry, no can do." He says smiling at them coldly, while holding on to Adrien as tight as he could. "Very well. I didn't want to do this the hard way. General take aim." Lucien says as he signals a man with a white armored suit. Kasai stands there as he tries to think of a way out. 'What are we gonna do?'
