Lightning magic

Old man: "Lightning is hard to control. It's like cat, it doesn't want to follow orders and always goes it's own ways. To make it obey, you need to understand it first. Lightning is pure energy if you think of it in other way. It's not like other element, it don't require anything to be created, just space to be. And even if it hits the target it either goes throught it or merges and goes inside it, it doesn't dissapear. You need to feel this lightning, you need to be lightning. Go on, try it. Subdue pure force of the nature, don't let it subdue you. Feel the power of nature. Feel power of lightning. Feel it's flow, it's energy."

Chron: "[ Concentrate. I need to merge this small energy pieces into one. It's easy, now I need to control it. Yes, I can control it now. Move it to one point, to my hand. Nice. Now materialise it. Change shape to lance. Adjust it's lenght, power, piercing force, needed mana. Everything done. It's end now. ]"

"LIGHTNING LANCE."

After shouting that, Chron materialised and released lightning in shape of long lance.

It pierced through first tree, second tree, thind tree and hitted fourth tree.

Each tree was around 10 meters away from each other and they weren't in a straight line.

Chron managed to use and control trajectory of lightning, pierce throug tres and shock old man.

O: "W-Wow. I hadn't expected that. You really are something else little one. So you are able to use lightning in form of weapons now, interesting. But it wasn't what I was talking about. Don't use shapes. Lighting is different from other elements due to lack of form. You can create lightning that won't be affected by any of other elements. Of course it requires more mana than usual one but it's worthy. Try making lightning without shape."

C: "[ Lightning without shape? So probably pure energy that comes out from my hand? Anyway, it's good to try making it on my hand now. I need to think of it's form. Shape, shape, no, no shape. Here, I think i can create it. ]"

From Chron's hand began to came out pure lightning. It started to cover his whole arm but it was fully under Chron's control. Everything was under his control.

O: "I said you one thing, you understood two, learned three and made four.

I only said that your lightning shouldn't depend on it's shape.

And you even created it on your own hand. At this rate, when you are only one week here, I think you might be able to form a contract in about a year."

C: "One year?"

"[ Shit, don't I have time here for only few months? I need to talk to him about it. ]"
