As I'm walking to find Faye, my mother or so they want me to think, links me- ⁑ "Kevin, do you have a plan, to defect your father?"⁑

⁑ "No, we're having issues coming up with an effective way to defect him.", I say not telling the truth.⁑

⁑ "Oh, well, I just found out a few things. Your father is planning on attack tonight, in the middle of the forest where the dead dismantled bodies are.", they tell me.⁑

⁑ "Do you know what time?", I ask, playing the part.⁑

⁑ "Midnight; he'll be there along with me.", they continue to answer.⁑

⁑ "I'll let the pack know.", I state.⁑

After that, I ran into Jay and all I could smell was the blood, raising an eyebrow, he let me know what happened. To say that it was a surprise, I would be lying; we talk a little more before I continue my way to Faye but I end up seeing the king of pixies and the asshole making out. Goddess, what did I miss? I wanted to stay and ask but something told me that I was intruding on them, so I quietly left. Finally, outside and I don't see her anyway; groaning in my head, I begin sniffing out her as I walk past many people working together. I was beginning to think I wouldn't be able to find her which made me panic a little so I link her hoping she would answer but I got nothing.

⁑ "Valentina, can you get a hold of Faye?", I ask panicking.⁑

⁑ "Why? She's been asking me and a few others out what she should expect from the different species.", she asks then explains to me.⁑

⁑ "Thank goddess; I tried linking her but I got no answer so I panic.", I say then explain.⁑

⁑ "No problem, just give her a few. Link her in a bit, and if she doesn't answer than then you panic.", she tells me.⁑

Keeping what she said in mind, I continued to look for Faye until I overheard a conversation that didn't sound so friendly. "Why are the ones to get wood; shouldn't it be the males?", a female asks.

"You're telling me. Why are we listening to the beta when there's an alpha?", another female says then asks.

"I don't know but this is stupid, who cares if the werewolf and vampdragon are mates; they'll be dead before they can raise their kids.", the first female says.

Holding back my growl, I continue to listen in on their conversation- "Haha, omg; the witch just told me that Kevin fell for our trap. I thought he was supposed to be smart!', the first female says.

"For real? How, wasn't he supposed to be the next king? I'm so glad our current king isn't passing the power to him.", the other female asks then states.

I'm happy they fell for that, I just need Faye so I could come up with a plan to get them. Wandering around the forest more, when I hear a soft hum, following that hum, I come to a clear and see Faye hum to the fishes in the water. I continue to listen to her hum when she stops, which makes me stop walking as well. Finding that odd, but not moving- "Why did you stop walking?", she asks me, glancing out the side of her eye.

"I don't know.", I answered back before walking again.

"Valentina told me, you tried linking me, sorry for not answering. I was talking to Queen Kiren.", she explained to me.

"Don't worry about but I do need to tell you some things.", I tell her.

After I'm done explaining to her what I was told along with what I overheard; she quickly runs to the pack and begins planning a way to get them back without them knowing. While also being left alone to find her once again. Does she not think to take me with her?

⁑ "Seems to me our mate could care less where we're are.", Dikais states.⁑

⁑ "You think!", Zaff says with annoyance.⁑

⁑ "Excuse me, at least I'm being a whine, bitch!", he snaps back.⁑

⁑ "Would you two knock it off.", I say, bluntly.⁑

They both zip it and I begin looking for her once more until I get called to the infirmary; so making my way back there, I notice there's a few people around the table that was in the middle but couldn't dewale on it. Just as I got there, someone grabbed me, I was about to flip them when I realized it was Queen Kiren. I give her a look and she just nudges her head towards the infirmary door.

"Did you link, Kevin?", the same female from before asked.

"I think so?", the second one says questionly.

"What do you mean you think so?", they asks.

"Well, it was hard to pinpoint who I was linking since everyone leaves their pack link open.", she explains to her friend.

"Great, we don't have time for this!", the other one states.

"Well, we're just going to have to wait for the alpha and beta need us head towards the middle of the forest to be can catch the king with his guard down.", the first one says.

They begin to leave so Queen Kiren slowly takes her hand off my mouth, which I take that time to turn and face her, giving her a questionable look, she doesn't say anything out loud but she does explain.

⁑ "Sorry about that- I heard them coming so I hide here but when I overheard them talking about the vampdragon king, I couldn't help but tell Faye but she told me, she was already informed about that.", she explains.⁑

⁑ "So what does that have to do with me?", I asked.⁑

⁑ "Valentina looking into some more people's mind and found out that those two girls want you dead.", she says.⁑

⁑ "That's nothing new but don't they know about…", I say before trailing off.

⁑ "I don't think so. I doubt your father would have told anyone besides the next vampdragon king and their mate.", she says.⁑

Nodding my head, I walked back outside to see that the group that was surrounding the middle table, were now standing behind the table while the old alpha, Jay, and Faye were standing. Jogging towards them, I wrap my arms around her before breathing in her scent.

"Don't run from me.", I state but it came out moffed.

"I wasn't running from you, I just wanted those two girls gone.", she states.
