“I think that we should interrogate each one of them to see if it leads to anyone else who might not be who they say they are. Once that is done, we should expel them from the camp and hand them over to the Mauritanian authorities as a measure of good faith.”
“This will allow us to keep them in the loop while also making it so that the potential threats are contained in their cells. It also means that the various governments that these people belong to will have to deal with the Mauritanian government instead of us.”
“That is actually rather well thought out plan.” Robert Downey said. “But why would the Mauritanian government care?”
“Simple. We submit charges of fraud on all of these people and the government gets leverage for potential spying on their sovereign land. I am sure that most of them will eventually be set free but they will be back in their home countries and far away from here.” Professor Thelete concluded.
