" the kimbap is heavenly Mrs Kim maybe you can teach me the recipe to the meal sometime so I can keep my husband full and keep him forever don't you agree" Mrs park says in a very sarcastic way as if about to spit it out " my grandma thought me she is a great cook" ming replies

" I sure she is" Mrs park replies laughing hysterically and everyone at the table just trying their best not to join in the laughter "so mr park how was dinner" Mr Kim asks suggestively as if forcing words in his mouth " amazing but we have to have further discussion with the kids about the situation " Mr park says brashly " I thought we planned on waiting a few weeks more" my dad says hesitantly " what is the point of waiting if it is going to be the same reaction situation and plus the earlier the better they say" MR PARK answers trying to justify his actions by all means while tapping my father's shoulders and chuckling " liwan and Liang we have organized for you to be engaged which will further help the unification of both companies " My dad says forcedly with grinned teeth and looking as if he is about to burst in anger. I didn't try to argue cause I knew this was going to happen but I didn't expect liwan to be so happy about it "father can I dicuss this with you in private" I say just behind his ears so no one else would be able to hear as we leave the group to the study.

"Does grandma know about this" I say frantically " yes she was the one who even suggested it in the first place " my dad says assertively "ooh ! em is it because Mr park is em blackmailing you cause if he is I can deal with it ok" I say as a last resort " no , no ,no why would you ever say that" he says about to get really upset "no matter your opinion or choice I am not getting engaged to park liwan ok " I say about to walk out when he slaps me right across the cheek I seat on the floor weeping " how dare you I own you cause I am your father I pay for everything you own you work for me and if you are not gonna help my business I might as well cut you off" he says like a normal man turned craze " you know what I think mom made a good choice dying instead of staying here with a maniac like you with no dignity and self worth and what you mostly care about is money" I say through my tears trying to express all the emotions I am feeling into my words while attacking his transgression " you know what you are getting engaged and I will not be disobeyed as long as I pay the bills and keep the light's on in this place " he says commandingly " now you are gonna go out there with a big smile and act like nothing happened" he says while shaking like a bird " grandma says I have to visit can I visit her tomorrow cause it's sunday and give me a break am just gonna see grandma not sneak of with some crazy bad boy or something cause I think you said you own me and control but news flash I am not your toy" I say as I stormed of too my room in anger "ooh she is fine just angry that I didn't inform her of the engagement before hand" he says while lying through his nose I can hear then from.my bedroom door making me more annoyed that before " Liang it's me open up" liwan says in a worried tone " I don't understand what is going on in my life right now but all I am sure of is it's a mess and I sure don't wanna marry you I don't mean you are lacking in any ways but I just don't love you yet" I say why hushing him from speaking " I don't think I have reached that level of growth as a person putting someone's needs with mine and all that I haven't even grown as a person not to talk about growing other people and molding them to be better versions of themselves" I say while rambling

they drive out our parking lot and the only thing that makes me remember they were here is the light coming from the car that keeps going father and farther away
