1 PROLOGUE: Escape

They ran at full speed, crushing every dried leaves beneath their bare feets. Twigs of trees blocked their vision. It whipped harshly at them, injuring them but they didn't mind it.

It was a long run, none of them knew where they were headed. All they knew was how to escape unnoticed by the hideous beasts and cold hearted humans.

"Ah!"

One of the brothers fell to the ground heavily and contorted his face in pain. The others had to stop.

"What's wrong Nero?" There was genuine concern laced in their voice when they asked in unison.

"Its...its a thorn, a sharp one." He answered with a wince.

"We can't stop here brother, you have to bear with us..." One of the brothers with dark blue hair rushed over to him and carried him on his back just as one of them did with a little girl.

They increased their pace but it wasn't enough, the dark blue haired brother grew exhausted because of his brother's weight but he had to keep going.

"Brother, are you tired?" The third one who carried no one on his back apart from the side bag he hung over his shoulder asked.

"I'm fine Celeste."

They heard a loud gunshot and more footsteps following from afar off. They where coming at full speed which put the brothers on edge.

"Quick! Let me carry him, take!"

Celeste took off the side bag and handed it over to his blue haired brother who carried their last brother, Nero.

Without wasting time or arguing, the blue haired brother handed Nero over to Celeste and quickly took the side bag which he hung over his shoulder.

The little girl kept whimpering, more tears fell out of her eyes and she tightened her hold round the dark purple haired boy carrying her, he never complained even for once or got tired.

Arrows with fire at the sharp edge flew in their direction but they dodged it effortlessly. Sweat like drops of water glided down their faces, some arrows hit dried leaves on trees and it quickly lit up, brightening the place.

"Humphrey!"

There was alarm in the dark blue haired boy's voice who ran in front with the side bag, he called out to the dark purple haired boy who carried the girl on his back. He was at a far end behind them which wasn't good.

"There they are!"

Someone shouted in glee when he spotted them trying as much as they could to escape. An arrow was shot and it went straight for the girl on Humphrey's back. Sensing it, Humphrey swiftly turned and tried to move away so the arrow wouldn't touch the girl but it ended up running deep into his thigh and the other half came out of the other side.

"Argggh!"

Humphrey groaned angrily and fell heavily to the ground with the girl. He tried to breathe but it was difficult, the wound gave him a tough time.

"THEON!" He called out to his brother between gritted teeth. Theon, the dark haired boy ran back to meet his brother. He helped the little girl sit upright before attending to his brother.

"Do something...if you don't we might all die here."

Humphrey yelled while gritting his teeth, the pain was excruciating. Footsteps where slowly approaching them. Gunshots filled the air and a bullet they didn't sense coming pierced Theon's skin, driving deep into his arm and tearing every thick muscle tissue.

"F*CK!" he cursed angrily and tears gathered at the brim of his eyes, it was so painful he felt every harsh tear at his skin.

While fighting the pain he couldn't think straight even while his brothers kept calling him, it was a blur to his ears.

Two huge werewolves came in view, screeching to a halt and raising sand particles. Five men with guns and arrows followed too.

"Well well well, look what we have here...five unarmed children." One man chirped excitedly and instructed the other men to finish them off.

Celeste carefully dropped his brother, Nero, to the ground before hurriedly placing his open hands on the loamy soil.

The ground shook violently and the men lost their aim because of the unsteadiness. Roots grew out of the ground and wrapped each of them but the wolves dodged and attacked his brothers, Theon and Humphrey.

They clawed brutally at them, giving them multiple scars and giving their clothes a crazed look. Theon and Humphrey fought hard against them.

Nero's hand blazed as he sat unmoving from his position, the fire he created in his hand grew bigger and he aimed it at the wolves.

The wolves quickly caught fire because of their fur, they howled and whimpered as they tired to quench it.

One man who still had his gun tried aiming it at one of them without them noticing. It went bang and the silver bullet headed in Celeste's direction whom was trying to hold the men with his roots.

The bullet grazed the side of his neck, tearing through that part, he let out an ear piercing scream of agony and got distracted by the pain. He used one hand to cover the bad injury.

"CELESTE!" Nero called his brother's name in fight and terror when he felt his pain.

But something happened, a heavy wind blew. It was directed at the men trying to untangle themselves from the roots. The wind entangled them further.

The brothers scanned the area wondering who did it but they where shocked to find out that it was none other than the girl. Her hands were raised and she was having difficulty holding the wind.

Nero dragged his body along the ground as he went to meet Celeste who was at the verge of dying, he was losing a lot of blood.

"Brother!" tears welled up Nero's eyes as he struggled to meet Celeste, he was weakened and affected by his three brother's terrible injuries because of the bond they shared.

"Theon! He's dying..."

Amidst tears, Nero informed his other brother who leaned against the tree with Humphrey. They where in deep pains.

They where panting heavily, it was hard for them to even move a muscle. With every ounce of strength Theon had left in him, he dragged the bag and tried to pull something out.

The girl who tried to hold the strong wind a bit longer gave up and she fainted, at least she helped them tangle the men in a more confusing and frustrating way. The men cursed angrily while trying to free themselves.

Theon slowly opened the bag, he winced in pain at the hurtful injuries caused by the wolves and the bullet still dug deep at his left arm.

"DAMN IT!" He cursed angrily and clenched his jaw at the excruciating pain. Humphrey who couldn't move due to the arrow stuck in his thigh tried helping his brother.

Time ticked by and Celeste was already spurting out blood from his mouth and his eyes where wide in shock and pin, tears filled them. He didn't want to die.

"Theon!" Nero screamed his other brother's name, it was filled with terror.

"Shut the f*ck up Nero! Arggh!"

Humphrey furiously yelled back at Celeste and groaned, he was slowly losing it. Theon pulled out a book with hard cover, it was red and had gold design on it like embroidery.

Humphrey assisted by helping him pull out a strong slim brown stick which looked like a wand. He handed it over to Theon and sighed.

"THEON!" Nero roared at Theon, he couldn't help it, they couldn't lose Celeste...he was a part of them.

The book opened on its own after sensing its master's deep emotion. Theon parted his lips and a sigh escaped, the wand which was handed to him by his brother Humphrey sparked a color of red and the book pages shone bright red.

Celeste's heart beat slowed down and his eyes dimmed as more blood rushed out of his neck. Nero panicked badly.

"THEON! FAST!"

Theon muttered some lines to himself from the book he held in his good hand. Humphrey watched him with tired eyes, wondering what he was saying.

Nero's bleeding began to cease and his tired eyes closed but his chest rose and fell signifying he was still alive.

Red light surrounded him and seeped in swiftly it jolted his entire being as if he was being electrocuted. His body shook slightly and stopped. The blood had stopped and his breathing became normal as if he was sleeping.

Nero sighed and relief washed over his body. Theon breathed out heavily and leaned his head against Humphrey's shoulder exhaustedly. He didn't only recite the spells for Celeste alone but everyone was included.

The pain caused by the silver bullet in his left arm slowly began to dissipate along with the injuries all over his and their body.

Humphrey's eyes rested on the girl he had carried, she was still unconscious. He carefully pulled himself away, making sure he didn't stress his brother, Theon.

"You did great brother." Theon praised his brother for risking his life to save the girl.

Feeling less pain, Humphrey stood up and limped over to the girl.

"What do we do now?" Nero asked.

"We move of course...sooner or later those hunters will scout these area." Theon answered him in an annoyed tone. The light emitted from the open book had already gone out, he shut it close and slipped it back into the bag.

"I've never seen her before," Nero directed his words to Humphrey and he nodded in agreement.

"I have," came Theon's short words, he had a serious look on his face.

Celeste gasped loudly and sat up abruptly in shock as he tried to breathe. Nero rubbed his back soothingly while observing him.

"Did you sleep well champ?" Was Theon's mocking remark and Humphrey chuckled lightly while Nero glared at them.

Soon his breathing became steady and he closed his eyes and sighed. Blood stained his hand, mouth and neck.

"That was...frightening." Celeste gulped hard after saying that. He couldn't still believe he nearly died.

"I don't think mother's idea was right...we can't survive without using our wands..."

"Good pint Humph." Celeste agreed with him while trying to calm down.

"For now let's do this for her....let's keep them aside until the right time, we need to keep a low profile."

Theon spoke out what he thought was right.
