Chemistry major Kelly Hendrick has lusted after his analytical chemistry professor Simon Randall for a several semesters. They share common interests in reading, fencing, and, of course, their chosen career field.<br><br>Now several semesters past being Dr. Randall's student, Kelly finally dares to cross the line and pursue his attraction to the professor. He finds the feeling reciprocated, but there are deep, more than human secrets in Kelly's life.<br><br>An assault on Simon forces Kelly to confront the idea that Simon needs to know more if they’re going to be together. Chapter 5

“We should take this somewhere besides the floor of the gym activity room. I know there’s not that many people left on campus but…” Simon explained. They might both be consenting adults, but there was no use asking for trouble. He was rewarded by an uncertain smile from the man beneath him. Simon peeled himself up. “How’s the cramp?”

“Better. I can still feel the ache though,” replied Kelly. Simon offered him a hand up. They stood motionless for a moment with a couple of fingers entwined.

“Scott’ll kill me if you’re still limping when practice starts up again. Why don’t we go back to my place and see about getting you a hot shower?” Simon suggested. They stripped out of their jackets and stowed all their gear in bags.
