Chapter 6: ‘Brunch..?’

"Don't sleep in so late, Nova!", Cassandra says, sitting at the end of the bed. I'm so used to sleeping in late because, I used to staying up late. I sit up, rubbing my eyes. "Did you already forget?", She asks. I sit there, trying to recall what happened last night. Oh right! The brunch this evening. "I didn't forget.", I say, smirking, acting as if I remembered all along. "Don't you know how lucky you are? All the girls of the kingdom would do anything to be your place, I guess you just have that type of charm on people.", She says, as she lies on her back on the bed. I blush. I stand up to search for an outfit to wear. I haven't worn pants in a while. Would that be offensive to wear, in the presence of the king? I look open the wardrobe door ,and I see a dress with a note on it. That wasn't here yesterday. Cassandra with her most crack, comes over peep. "Ooo, what does the notes say?", She asks, nosely. I pick up the note. 'I saw this dress and immediately thought of you, and I thought it would suit your style. ~Magnolia', I read out loud. I put down the note then look at the dress, It was and off should black dress, the with the front shorter than the back. That was so nice of Magnolia! I quickly change into the dress. I come out and the other maids were sitting there with Cassandra. "Aw hun, you look gorgeous!", One maid said. "Thank you!", I replied. "Sit down, we will get you ready for your morning with the king.", She says. I take my seat in front of the mirror. They all huddle around me. One does my hair into an high ponytail, and the other maid Does my make up, she paints red lipstick to my lips, I never really liked much make up. "You already look like a Queen!", She says. "But, something is missing", The other one says. She then puts diamond earrings on my ears. "Perfect!" They escort me down to the garden, there in the garden was a table. The maids assist me into the chair. "Do you need anything while you wait, Miss?", They ask. "No thank you.", I say, trying not to sound nervous. They curtsy, then leave. I sit there, and glance at the flowers. I stands up and walk around the garden, and I see white roses, they have been my favorite since I was a little girl, because my brother used to bring them back with him when he..."Good morning, Miss Nova.
