Princess Lyn: Fleeting Dreams

Pacing of the novel isn't bad. Right now everything is coming together slowly. Lyn's real abilities, Kazuya's past, Allen's decision and there is Rhys. Rhys character is one of the ones that stood out from the start, I really like the recent character development too. Keep up the great work author ❤️

This is my second time doing a review swap with the author. I read the beginning of her book Dream Star and didn't enjoy it as much since it wasn't a genre I usually go for. However, Princess Lyn is definitely within the spectrum of novels I enjoy reading. There seems to be fantastical elements woven into the story, alongside a slight political landscape. But that isn't the point of this novel. The main factor of this novel is the r o m a n c e. We get introduced to the MC and her woes in the first chapter. Her writing has definitely improved grammatically from her older works. There is a clear understanding of what the author is trying to convey. Author just needs a little editing and polishing here and there with a few more line breaks in between. It's really good for an original novel! I also found myself wanting to know more, so maybe author can add a bit more detail in future edits to the beginning chapters. It'll add a bit more mental candy for the reader. There is no doubt about the fact that the main character is a young girl. She acts like it and responds to situations with *****te. This isn't a bad thing because it brings more room for her character to develop in the future. I'm excited to see what brings her to the point of becoming the Queen Lyn that most of us are familiar with. The beginnings of her interactions with Kazuya are a little quick in my opinion, but that could always be attributed to the age of the characters. Author could maybe benefit from spacing out their interactions a little more, so that the effect of them being together is more explosive to the reader. Kind of like eating cake after running a marathon. The pace of the story flows quite quickly. In some instances of the book I was digging it, but there were some parts where I was getting whiplash. It's very good, but in my opinion, some chapters could be spaced out a little more. Then again, my own writing has a slow pace so I may lean towards that a little more when it comes to critiquing hehehe. Overall, it's another wonderful story from the author. You can't help but want to watch her grow and go along with the ride. She has a certain charm that engages the reader, and it makes you keep coming back to her stories and watch her improvement. Kudos to the author, and happy writing!! :)

Only read up to chapter 48. However I recommend this story for those looking for a good fantasy romance story with a touch of elite politics. Young Lyn is naive and inexperienced about the world, or is she? From what I've read so far, it looks to me like the young Princess isn't as naive as one seemed. But up till now she hasn't had the opportunity to display these skills of hers. The characters are well written, the author writes in a way where we can understand characters thoughts and emotions. But it also leaves room for interpretation. The plot is progressing smoothly too. Good luck, this will definitely stay in my library.

My daily review, this is a must read story. It's not your average Princess/Kingdom story. Reading about Lyn's journey from a Princess to the next book Queen Lyn is interesting too. You can see the hardships, and decisions she took to get to where she is now. This is where it all started.

A fantasy novel set in a strange timeline but I like the character development of the female lead. At first she seems meek, innocent and naive but she is not like that at all.

400+ chapters later, I'm glad the author is not only getting better at writing. But her characters growth surprise me. At the start the novel may seem cliche with that random kiss and realistically such things don't happen.. 🤣 At least the reaction wouldn't be to take revenge by kissing the person back. The happy go lucky ML and naive FL? That's all for show. We gradually begin to see their past, and the reason for their happy and naive behaviour. For a fantasy romance novel, the pacing is good. The romance isn't sudden despite the first chapter. The two don't fall in love right away, and seem to circle one another before truly falling for another. But along the way so many people from their pasts appear, they have to deal with the conflict of their countries fighting too. I can't wait to see how this story develops from this point.

This is a very original story. The female lead and male lead are different from the usual cold hearted ML or face slapping FL. It focuses more on characters emotions and their bonds.

The authors hiatus with this book made me forget how good it was. I am glad she is updating again because the story is getting very good. My Rhys X Lyn ship seems to be sailing too.

5 stars ain't enough. You deserve more. Lyn may have very naive ideals but she is determined to make a change. That is rare in most FL. The characters, writing and story development is on point. I need more chapters to cure my heart ;-;
