32 Jun proves his memory skills

"I have an eidetic memory."

"You have what?" YG was taken aback in surprise.

"I can remember the things after taking a look at them or listening to them once." Jun continued to lie to convince him.

The moment he lied, he also decided to go with the excuse for his whole life so that there won't be any confusion in the future, regarding his fast learning with other things.

Maybe, this ability can make him a star in variety shows too. Jun isn't thinking too far. But, he didn't know how this lie will bring so much attention in the near future…

"You aren't kidding right?" YG of course didn't believe as true photographic memory is something that doesn't exist but Jun was here claiming that he can even remember everything once he listens. What kind of concept is this...

Most south koreans are modest with elders. So, he doubted that this guy was bragging without any substance.

"No, I'm not," Jun replied with a straight face. "If you don't believe me, please ask me anything that happened in the past three weeks."

YG was once again shocked by Jun's statement, "Three weeks?" Even with a near photographic memory that is shown to occur in children, people won't be able to remember stuff for too long without a mnemonic device. If this is true, then, the person before him would be a miracle.

YG stared at Jun for a while. All he saw was confidence on his face. Going with the flow, he asked, "What did everyone in your group do around 12 O'clock on Nov 6th?"

Bu the moment the question escaped from his mouth, YG was also embarrassed for going with the flow and asked the question while he himself knew how absurd it sounds. Yet, at the same time, he was also excited inside to hear the answer.

If Jun were really to possess it, then, whether he ends up in the top 21 or not, he would recruit him into Genesis.

And Jun didn't disappoint him. He spoke in his mind, "Aria, open the memory on November 6, 12 in the afternoon."

A holographic screen appeared before his eyes almost instantly, playing the video.

Five minutes later;

"I and Daniel are practicing a move from our dance. Shonwu was lying around, watching YouTube on the tablet… I think it's the choreo of Shinhwa sunbaenim's "Perfect". The remaining members aren't with us. I'm not sure where they went." Jun replied to him without wavering.

'Is this kid a computer or something…' Even though he didn't see it, he almost believed him as he saw the confident look on Jun's face.

Thinking of checking it later, YG took the mouse and opened some file to play one of the unpublished songs that he produced for Clockwork's next comeback now that Hanbin was focusing on writing the song for the girl groups.

Jun listened to the song that was played.

It was probably sung by some mediocre singer or staff. Even though the melody is good, Jun found the vocals destroyed the song. He didn't know that it was an unpublished one.

So, he naturally thought the singer is a bad one and YG is wasting such a nice on him. Since Genesis usually has talented artists, Jun then wondered whether it might be a rapper trying to sing.

But, who is he to tell YG what to do or what not to do… So, he kept his thoughts to himself.

After the song is finished, YG looked at Jun, "so, how is it? How much were you able to remember this song?"

'Aria, roll back to the memory, five minutes.'

Concentrating on the video, Jun started to hum until the end of the song while he copied the lyrics onto the whiteboard.

After writing the lyrics on the whiteboard, Jun then said, "if the lyrics are okay, then, I will try to sing it."

Jun didn't get any response from behind.

He turned around only to see YG was looking at the board in a daze.

It took more than a few seconds for YG to come out of his stupor.

"You didn't sneak into my office and peeked into my computer, did you?" A few seconds later, YG responded with a question.

"Eh?" Jun was taken aback.

"It's a joke. Just kidding…" YG laughed out in excitement before forcing himself to calm down. He didn't even ask Jun to sing it. Just writing down the lyrics is perfect proof.

"Sung-Jun-ssi… I will send all the relevant materials to your email by tonight. You will be able to memorize them, right?"

As Jun nodded, he wondered whether this guy still wants to test him even after this incident…

But then, the following words of YG made him sigh in relief.

"I think I'm really glad to check the video footage back then…"

After Jun left the cabin, YG mumbled to himself, "He has looks, great vocals, Talent in songwriting, and has perfect memory… He can be molded into a perfect idol once his dancing skills improve. Hmm… Should I see whether he has any skill in rapping too?

Even if he isn't that skilled, if I want to debut him as a solo artist, he should have at least decent rapping skills. And there's this Kang Daniel… he too deserves some attention."

The next day, morning;

As usual, Jun woke up at 4:30 a.m., finished his morning activities, and left for the training facility by 5.

Just like every day, he was the first to arrive.

He played some random music and started to warm up with whatever steps come to his mind.

One hour later;

He started to practice vocals…

Another hour passed and yet, no one arrived.

After having breakfast, Jun returned to the practice room took a rest for a while before practicing his parts once again to make sure everything's alright.

Another hour later, finally, two 15-year old boys arrived.

"You two are late…" The first thing Jun spoke to them is to remind the time. "It's almost 9 o'clock…"

Then, as he saw their faces, he stopped nagging and asked, "what happened? You two don't seem good."

"Hyung, Ji-hwan left the dorm, this morning…" One of them informed him.

"Eh?" Jun was taken aback by the news.

According to him, this 13-year-old boy was indeed good at singing and also had a talent for rapping.

Before he asked the reason, the other boy replied, "Yeongue had a throat infection and was also suffering with fever. He's taking rest."
