The previous night, Genesis old training facility;
15th floor, YG team Planning room;
YG and some of the mentors that belonged to Genesis had spread several photographs on the table. Each one belongs to a contestant from his team.
"The format has been changed for the next week…" He explained the rules he, JYP, Bravebrothers, and producer of the show discussed earlier in the noon, right after the shooting is over.
"First, let us discuss who should be our solo category contestant from boys and girls. You have watched their performances for two weeks. Give your recommendations." YG said to them.
Singer Chiyeul, who was contracted to Leon Entertainment, a subsidiary of Genesis, was the first one to answer, "Han SungJun. I was his team's mentor for the past week. So, I was able to observe him more closely.

While some of them nodded with Chiyeul's explanation, the others suggested names like Kang Daniel, Yuju, Nan Yejun, Eunbin, Im So-eun (NC.A), and Euijin.
YG picked the five photographs and looked at them, one by one. After much thought, he put down Jun and Yuju's photos together on the table, "These two will perform the duet."
Everyone was taken aback in surprise. It is one thing if they weren't selected for solo but these two vocalists were selected for a duet? They wondered what's going on in YG's head.
Surely, both of them are highly talented vocalists and are in the top 11 for consecutive weeks. Rather than performing together, they felt it would be best if they perform in different groups and raising the score to get more wins.
At first, YG thought about winning too but after looking at the photographs, he realized something.
After that incident, YG thought that both of them will be too careful and might become awkward not only with each other but also with every opposite gender. He doesn't want it.
Honestly, he has no problem with both of them getting along together. It's just that the relationship should be professional.
And since he had long decided to scout them once the program is over, YG thought this would be the right time to remove the obstacles. It's like losing the battle but winning the war.

Finishing his lunch, he returned to the allotted training room and sat in the corner.
Aside from Yuju, the other mixed duo group and the two soloists are also in the same room.
Currently, a soloist from the girls, Im Soeun started her practice while everyone else is quietly watching her.
She is someone who made an impression on Jun during the opening performance, especially her high notes. If she wouldn't have challenged Jun's top seat back then, she would easily make it to the top 5.
Despite having a good voice, she also had her own flaws. Of course, it's not really a flaw but being a debuted artist, she will receive stricter evaluation than even experienced trainees like Jun and Shonwu.

Everyone clapped as she finished singing. Even Jun felt like it was some kind of live performance.
He never heard of the song. So, he doesn't know whether she made mistakes in the composition and lyrics. However, he did spot a few mistakes. No, it's more like one mistake that was done so many times. Her voice was slightly cracked five times while hitting the high notes.
Unless one doesn't listen to the song carefully, they wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
Maybe, it was just the cracked part or maybe, she had realized there are more mistakes. For whatever reason, currently, her face doesn't look good.
She turned around and said, "I apologize. If anyone else is willing to use the center space, please do. I want to take a break." Lightly bowing to others, Soeun walked to the desktop and stopped the song before sitting down beside the other girls.
Eunbin who was sitting beside her asked, "Unnie, what happened?" On the other hand, Yuju also seemed to realize the issue. As she looked at her roommate, Soeun grabbed the water bottle, "nothing. Just need the throat to rest…"
Right then, Jun walked to them.
