Debut part-2

On the roads of Seoul, a Chevrolet Express Starcraft van is traveling towards Dongdaemun district slowly due to heavy traffic.

Inside the van, the female idols of the Sparkle kpop group were seen very tired because they were just returning from mv shooting. Their comeback is coming up very soon.

Only one of them is a bit excited while most of them continued to sleep. Obviously, it's Dahyun.

Nayeon was sitting on the left and Yoo Si-ah, otherwise known as YooA is sitting on the right. Only YooA was awake apart from Dahyun, the manager, and their leader Jeon Soyeon who was comfortable sitting in the front seat, all alone.

As Dahyun was intently watching something on the mobile phone with earphones, YooA glanced at it. It was V live app and some guy in a suit is talking about something.

She casually nudged her with an elbow and took one of the earphones to put in her ear, "Dahyun-ah, what is it?"

"My brother's debut showcase," Dahyun whispered slowly, not to disturb others. She added, "The song will be released officially on YT at 8 but we can just watch it live, now."

"Ah, Yes. You told me earlier. I forgot." YooA also watched the screen curiously.

Ro Jongsu, who was acting as the MC here, introduced himself, and then, proceeded to give a brief introduction about the debut album.

"As you all know, Sky became famous all over the internet due to Treasure Campus and the busking event at Cheonggye Plaza.

Ever since then, requests from several people from all over the world were curious about our new artist.

A week ago, we released our first teaser, and a few days ago, the second teaser. We received an overwhelming response from the viewers."

As he pressed the button, a stream of comments and hundreds of emails, which are basically positive ones, appeared on the screen behind.

He continued, "It is a proud moment of our company to also announce that the combined views of both teasers of the Album had successfully crossed 1.5 million."

With a smile on his face, Ro Jongsu then announced, "finally, we are presenting the debut album, "Home" to everyone who is waiting for this day.

Coming to the album, follows the story of Sky, a mysterious being with superpowers that originated from an unknown planet, searching for a home, finally deciding to settle down on the earth.

First, we will watch the glimpse of behind the scenes of the main track, 'Mmmh'."

As the journalists were curious about the never heard concept, the screen played some parts of the behind-the-scenes where Jun is doing a photoshoot or listening to the instructions of the director or standing at the handrail, which is ten meters above the ground.

Ro Jong Su then spoke about the names of the director, producer, and other important staff members who worked on the album before finally unveiling the video.

Like it was shown in teaser 2, the scene was opened with Jun looking down at the city filled with flying vehicles and the song started.

Meanwhile, in the adjacent room, Jun was watching the music video along with his backup dancers.

"Oh, that's a lot of CGI." Jun was impressed with the dedication put in the video. Meanwhile, one of the dancers Kim Jinhee couldn't help but comment, "that teleportation is so shway…"

"And those pillars, they were so ordinary in shooting location but in mv, it's really different." The youngest one, 18-yr-old Jieun commented with excitement as she saw herself in the video. After all, it's her first mv appearance.

Once the mv presentation is over, Jun and the other dance members are giving hi-five to each other. "Good job" "Thank you" "Congratulations, Jun" "Thank you"

The auditorium, on the other hand, was completely filled with silence.

Of course, it's not that they don't like it or something. In fact, more than half of them are already humming inside their heads while almost everyone was impressed by Jun's visuals and magical voice.

It's just that it is a formal event. So, they couldn't enjoy themselves like an audience.

While the journalists were busy wracking their minds on writing brief points about the article, Jun made his way towards the stage under the guidance of the staff member.

Since the lights were completely switched off, none of them could get a clear view until Jun got onto the stage. In the meantime, concept photos were revealed on the screen.

With makeup done, a cool outfit, tall height, broad shoulder, and perfect physique that could be seen clearly from his wear, everyone who was already familiar with Jun's appearance felt like he transformed from a next-door boy to a model in a couple of months.

"Now, give a round of applause for Sky." MC Ro Jongsu spoke to everyone.

As a few claps have erupted the journalists, MC Ro Jongsu looked at Jun, "please present yourself."

Jun raised the mic, "Hello, I'm Sky. Thanks to everyone who has been waiting…"

He just followed the script, said a few words about how thankful he is and all, he didn't talk anything about the album.

Once he was done, Ro Jongsu spoke, "The live debut concert will start at 19:30. The second track of the album will be revealed at the concert. The debut album "Home" will go online at 20:00.

It's almost time for Sky's debut showcase on v-live to end. Once again, thank you for joining us for the showcase."

This whole showcase lasted about 15 minutes. Jun only spent on the stage for just a couple of minutes. Of course, here, the journalists and the reporters neither ask any questions nor take any pictures. For them, the real event will happen during the evening.

Once the showcase is over, Jun parted ways with the dancers. He didn't have lunch yet because he was told to eat light.

The reason? He had a lunch meeting with the CEO and a couple of investors. It's a common practice at Genesis and other agencies that an artist gets introduced to investors to attract more investments in the company.

But, right after the debut showcase is a bit too hurried. That's what Jun believe but he still said 'Yes' to it because the company is Genesis Entertainment, the number one entertainment agency in South Korea.

Manager Seon and Jun went to CEO's office. She was there, alone, watching something on the computer

"Ah, SungJun-ssi, you are here. Congratulations on the debut. You are now, officially, an artist of our company." She was all smiles when she saw her potential golden goose.

Jun thanked her, although he knew that it wasn't exactly a debut because his system didn't consider it. He didn't receive any notification. Jun thought he would probably receive it after the album goes online.

"Anyway, Manager Seon will take you to the place. I'll be right behind you." She said to him while getting on her feet.

Jun bowed and excused himself.

Manager Seon took Jun to a Michelin restaurant named "Mestro Eats." It was famous for Japanese cuisine.

Looking at the board from outside, Jun mumbled, "Japanese investors, eh. Well, as long as I wasn't forced to eat sushi, I will do fine, I guess."
