(Lady Khang) Relationship to fix

         {Lady Khang's Point of View}

         I covered my mouth and tried to move as quietly as possible. I could hear their voices inside the throne room. There was probably more than five people.

"A man in the harem would cause an uproar in the citizens!" I heard the familiar voice of the prime minister exclaimed.

"He's right your majesty. The royal family image will be tainted with such blasphemous information" This time it was a woman's voice, probably one of my mother's loyal servant.

Blasphemous? Now they think she's a god? I thought, utterly disgusted.

I moved my ear a little closer to the door to hear better because there are some mumbles that I couldn't quite understand.

"I do not understand why would you announce this to the public your highness"

"We shall not agree with you this time!"

"Enough!" My mother hissed, slamming something from the sudden noice that almost made me flinch.

"I shall not let that man taint this palace! I would wipe their bloodline out if I have to but right now I would make them feel inferior"

I frowned. It wasn't mother's nature to do such thing but now that I'm hearing it, it's quite alarming.

I will not let anyone harm Lady Li. I greeted my teeth as I keep listening. It was so hard not to burst inside and just cuss at every single one of them. I know from the start that there's always something shady going on in the palace but this was too much.

Killing? Wiping out someone's bloodline!? Such shameful and injustice acts.

When they all stopped talking I got alarmed.

Are they done? Should I leave now?

I gasp when the door suddenly opened but it was a good thing that my posture was fixed before they could all see me.

"What are you doing there my child?" My mother asked sweetly yet I could see something suspicious in her eyes.

"I was about to knock mother but looks like you were right when you said you can sense your children nearby, a mother's instinct right?" I reasoned out smoothly, staring straight into her eyes.

She looked at me longer before giggling.

"Oh dear child you still remember what I had told you when you were still a little"

"Oh I would never forget Mother" I smiled, coming forward.

"But now I'm here to inform you that I would be out of town for a few days"

My words caused the people in the room to look at me weirdly.

"Your majesty you can't go out in the palace all alone–"

I cut the servant before she could finish. "I have escorts with me, I even took one of the royal guards besides I'm just out to buy some new jewelries for my collection"

My mother smiled and nodded her head. "You have my permission Dear child".

I bowed down and left calmly after my mom kissed my forehead and wished for me to be safe.

Once I was out my expression darkened. I wasn't lying about everything I've said yet I won't go out to buy jewelries, I'm going to see a person that I wish to protect from all of this.

I left the palace with a new found hatred for the people that serve my mother and made my way to the Manor where Jin currently stayed along with my brother.

"So it turns out that my mother is planning to let the word out about you in public, I didn't hear them mention a name nor a date so I'm not really sure how they'll do it and when" I explained briefly, scanning my eyes on my brother's conflicted face and Jin's irritated expression with a hint of something else, perhaps tension towards Xian.

Did something happen between them? I thought suspiciously even though I know there is something blooming between them, just not quite sure how it's progressing.

I know Jin was a raised as a Noble, lots of strict rules here and there so no matter what he feels he won't voice it out to let his dignity remain while my idiot brother on the other hand won't care and will not keep his hands to himself when he find something/someone he likes.

This two is almost an impossible match but I have a feeling that it'll somehow work out in the end even with their awful past images towards each other. They can't change it but they can move forward from it.

"So you're telling me that the Empress Dowager would do anything in her power to eliminate us and then what? What would she gain from it!?" Jin groaned, rubbing his forehead stressfully.

"Self satisfaction" Xian answered and I nodded in agreement which made Jin clutch his head like he's too fed up with it. Even though it barely started.

"Your mother sure is a sadist" Jin deadpanned before he went to the corner to think, leaving me and Xian alone.

I poke Xian's arm and grabbed his attention.

"What?" He asked, his tone bored.

I crossed my arms around my chest and gave him a scolding look. "What did you do?"

"Nothing"

"Don't give me that answer I know you're doing that thing again"

Xian looked at me annoyingly and I just stared at him smugly.

"I didn't mean it okay!" He whispered, like he was scared Jin would hear though it would be impossible, Jin looked like he was too engrossed in his own world inside his head.

"Mean what?" I asked.

"Try to get him to sleep with me"

I almost burst out laughing while Xian's face turned red.

"Are you an idiot!?" I lamented, watching him glare at me.

"What?"

"Take it slow Xian" I explained as I regained my posture. I pointed at Jin and Xian followed my arm.

"If you keep forcing him he'll think you just want a fling and not something deep"

Xian's eyes widen as his gaze went back at me. "And why wound I want something deep?"

I shrugged "Go find out yourself for now I need to pack my stuff cause I'm going somewhere"

"Wha–" I pressed my finger in Xian's mouth to shush him.

"Work on you two's relationship would ya, I'll leave you two at it so while I'm gone you can have all the time together, just don't get caught in the act of sleeping with...you know what I mean, keep his identity hidden" With those words I wave my hand and left the two of them.

Afterall I have a relationship to work on too.
