Opening the Southern Points

Jackson returned to the lake.

He needed more strength, so he went through the Immortal doctor's technique. He desired to see what technique he had to increase his power.

Ten minutes later, Jackson finally understood.

The Immortal doctor technique had two methods to increase a person's strength.

The first was to use medicinal herbs to cleanse and bolster the body.

A person's body contained countless impurities, that accumulated over time.

For a cultivator, these impurities were very harmful because they would make it difficult to gather Qi.

Collecting Qi was an essential process for cultivators since they used Qi during fighting.

For this reason, the cleansing of body impurities was carried out with great importance by the cultivators.

The second process was the method that satisfied Jackson the most.

This method consisted of clearing the southern points.

The whole body had meridians, they were responsible for the flow of Qi within the figure.

Cultivators also used them while gathering Qi, as the internal Qi flow provided by the meridians was of great help.

The human body had a total of fifteen hundred meridian points.

These points were closed throughout the life of a normal person.

But for Cultivators, opening up these points was of the utmost significance.

Opening these southern points was like opening an entrance to the meridian.

These spots allowed the cultivator to absorb Qi faster, the more openings one had, the quicker that person's cultivation will be.

The opening phase was easier in the realm of body refinement.

Because of this, the more points a cultivator could open in this realm, the higher it will be valued by themselves.

It was possible to open the southern points in other realms too but the difficulty was immense.

Only now could the difficulty and significance of this stage be seen. It was in this realm that the cultivator would decide whether his future would be bright or dark.

A body had fifteen hundred points but they were divided into two types.

The first was the common points, which had a total of one hundred and thirty-five points.

The second was the Divine points, that had in total three hundred and sixty-five spots.

They were separated into five sections which were- Low, Medium, High, Peak and Heavenly.

Each region had three hundred points, of which two hundred twenty-seven were common and seventy-three were divine.

It was noteworthy that for every three common points cleared, a Divine point could be opened.

In the end, there would be eight common points, which when unclosed the cultivator would move onto the next level.

The Immortal doctor's technique taught about how to open all points.

It gave numerous medicinal recipes to unlock every southern point in the body.

Jackson didn't have the materials to open the points, he had something better, which was his Qi of nature.

All living beings were formed from the energy of nature.

So cleaning the meridians would be very easy for him.

But that only applied to Jackson, after all, no one had the ability to absorb energy from nature except Jackson.

In the higher realms, high-level cultivators could even obtain Qi from nature.

But that would come with the sacrifice of several lives, which was not worth it. After all, getting a little Qi from nature would only allow them to open a few southern points and for beings of this caliber, it did not make much difference.

But for Jackson, it was unlike since he had an almost unlimited source of Qi.

He then began to gather Qi from nature.

Within an empty dimension, three spheres coexisted harmoniously.

Then one of them, the jade sphere began to release a green energy.

Jackson was very focused, a green-toned Qi emerged from his body.

He then directed this Qi to the first common southern point in his body.

The Qi began to enter that point, slowly like a lid that was closed, it began to clear.

Ten minutes later, it was completely unlocked.

Similar to a valve that had been opened, energy began to enter his body.

But this Qi was different from what it was inside Jackson's body.

It was white, this was the Qi that cultivators usually used.

Jackson was pleased but he didn't stop, on the contrary, he continued to open the points.

After twenty minutes, he unlocked the second.

An hour later, he cleared up another.

Then, two hours later, he finally opened the first Divine point.

Jackson felt his body being bolstered, his senses sharpened.

When he looked at his own body, realized that it was covered with a black liquid. These were the impurities that got removed by the energy of nature when he proceeded to open the southern points.

"Disgusting! I'd better go clean myself."

Jackson then paused and went to the lake to get some water for cleaning himself.
