1 Chapter 1: The Primordial System

The Void?

Worlds?

Dimensions?

Heavenly Daos?

I only wish it were that simple.

And so it is.

I've lived a life of normality my whole life, or so it seemed.

My name is Yuki Asura, 14 years old, my specialty is playing games and my hobbies are sports such as golfing and basketball.

Little would you know I am a genius in hiding.

I'm only a genius at fighting, that's all.

In an ordinary world where all we do is study and do homework compared to a fictional world that's flooded by mysteries and superpowers. It all seems too real.

[It is real]

"Wait, who is this?" Yuki asked bewilderingly. Here he was, sitting around playing video games in the afternoon while his parents were away, and then this otherworldly message popped up in his view.

Yuki's eyes fixated on the screen in front of him, where a message was displayed in bold red letters. The text seemed to jump out at him, demanding his attention. It was as if the words were painted on the screen, leaving a lasting impression in his mind. Despite the countless distractions around him, Yuki felt drawn to the message, as if it held the key to his next move. The screen flickered slightly, but the message remained, glowing like a beacon in the darkness. Yuki couldn't help but wonder what would happen if he acted on the message, and what might happen if he didn't.

[Primordial System]

[Name: Yuki Asura]

[Lifespan: 14 / 42]

[Race: Mortal]

[Equipment: None]

[Cultivation: None]

[Cultivation Potential: Extremely bad]

[Current World: Earth]

There was a panel with a variety of icons, some unlocked and others still waiting to be accessed. It was like a whole new world had emerged from thin air. Yuki heart was filled with anticipation and excitement as he eagerly waited to see what this new System would throw him towards. He could hardly contain his enthusiasm and could feel his pulse racing with anticipation.

Life was supposed to be fun! What was wrong with asking about an unknown source of power?

That's when Yuki began collecting himself on the chair, where he held his collection of games near the cabinet and drawers.

"Who are you? What are you?" Yuki's thoughts raced faster than an airplane as he provided the System with his questions.

[A Normal System],

The System explained neatly. As though this omniscient being's stature was unaffected, he didn't want to explain anything else.

Yuki then suddenly gasped as he remembered something.

"I think I've read this in a novel before!"

There were all these Systems where you would have an extraterrestrial existence guiding the main character towards his long and arduous journey, making him overpowered at the end of the story.

The System is essentially what the character in the novel receives, and they can level up by doing certain tasks. In novels, the main character may be granted a special System that differs from the usual level-up System. The main character with such a unique System is called a System Administrator. In this case, however, this System's traits differs to some of the usual powers the other novels Yuki had read.

As he rose from his seat and made his way into his own room, he found out a myriad of things from this System.

First, he withheld a System of all things and found out that he could attain some kind of magic called 'cultivation'.

Second, he figured that if his current world was Earth then there would be many more unique planets to explore and adventure upon.

Thirdly, he was only 14 years old and had limited information, so he had to ask the System for context and knowledge of what had to come next.

Fourthly and finally, his parents wouldn't allow him to go out on most occasions, as he was not the only son and had a brother who was also older than him.

Yuki was raised in a family of ordinary people, his dad working at the office dealing with businesses and as result their income was quite steady. His mother on the otherhand worked at a barber shop across the streets near his home. His brother was currently in college and usually tended to his part time job, in addition to teaching his only sibling Yuki about the prospects of life and nurturing him to be a better person.

Despite everything, Yuki's first year in high school could have been better. His tendency to isolate himself with his video games has made it difficult for him to make friends.

Yuki has always dreamed of becoming a professional gamer, but he struggles to beat his opponents in the preliminary matches of the following games.

Yuki, despite having a handsome appearance and looks, made a promise to himself never to approach anyone romantically. This decision came after a girl he liked in elementary school rejected him. Since then, he has adopted the philosophy of always supporting his only family, which includes his parents and his brother. He constantly prioritizes them over others, and their well-being is of utmost importance to him.

His ethnicity was actually Asian American as he was born in the United States, and despite this, he was still good-looking in terms of facial features and hairstyle. He had black eyes, black hair, and a slim physique.

Wouldn't anyone take a liking to him?!I mean, anyone at all, please?

Anyhow, what was important was not his outstanding looks but the System that was in front of him.

"System, can I really explore a different world and fight bad guys?"

[Yes]

[Worlds are divided into different levels and tiers]

[Levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Immortal]

[Tiers: Low-tier, Middle-tier, High-tier]

[The world you currently reside in:]

[Level Bronze, High-tier]

In the year 2030, the 21st century reached a pinnacle of innovation and creativity, with a multitude of groundbreaking inventions that advanced humanity in ways previously unimaginable. From cutting-edge technologies to revolutionary scientific discoveries, the world was transformed by the incredible feats of human ingenuity that defined this era.

Yuki layed atop his soft bed, his body in a comfortable sleeping posture. As he gazed up at the ceiling, he pondered over what he should do next. After a moment's thought, he decided that it was best to retire for the night and get some much-needed rest.

Yuki woke up early the next day, feeling a bit nervous about going to school. He got dressed and headed out, his backpack slung over his shoulder. As usual, he walked alone, not saying a word to anyone he passed by. When he arrived at school, he went straight to his first class, where he didn't know anyone. The same thing happened in his second and third classes. He felt like an outsider, like he didn't belong anywhere.

During lunchtime, he went outside to the school courtyard, hoping to find a quiet spot to eat his lunch. He sat down on the cold cement ground, feeling a bit gloomy. He watched as his classmates passed by, chatting and laughing with their friends. He felt envious but didn't know how to join in.

However, something unexpected happened. A group of boys he had never seen before approached him. They were laughing and joking around, and one of them asked Yuki if he wanted to join them for lunch. Yuki was surprised but also a bit hesitant. He had never hung out with anyone at this school before, let alone a group of strangers. But the boys seemed friendly, and he decided to take a chance. He joined them at their table, feeling a bit out of place but also excited to be part of a group for once.

Although he didn't have any trouble interacting with boys, his behavior changed when several girls joined the group. He became more reserved and chose to remain quiet, perhaps due to social anxiety or uncertainty about how to communicate with them.

There wasn't anyone he liked at this school, and he didn't intend to chase after anyone. He remained distant from the girls and made some small talk to the others.

"Hey, Yuki, have you considered joining a club?" Asked one of the boys

"Not really, unless it's one for gaming," replied Yuki.

"Oh, you should join mine! The Supernatural Club I'm in right now has like 10 people," one of the girls spoke.

"Did you even hear what I said? I mean, I'm not good at supernatur- wait, wait, what did you say?" Yuki realizes and spoke.

He had a moment of thought that was faster than lightning and spoke.

"Actually.. I'm in; where do I sign up?"
