Chapter 16 - Girlfriend

After breakfast, Dave prepared to leave, with Draco riding on his shoulders as they walked outside his dorm.

Draco was undeniably adorable and incredibly dependent on him. Therefore, Dave decided to take him outside for some fresh air.

His appearance at the auction was a scorching topic in the city, and countless people were speculating about the nature of the creature concealed within the egg.

Five minutes later, as he strolled, many people noticed Draco and were astonished to see a dragon in such an unusual place.

The rumors from the Auction House had spread, and they assumed the dragon must be connected to the mysterious egg.

He could sense the countless gazes directed at Draco, as dragons were exceptionally rare. In the Spirit World, there were a few dragons, but their bloodlines were relatively weak.

The most powerful dragon in this world was the renowned spirit beast of the Dragon Empire, although it hadn't been sighted in many years. It typically only emerged when the empire faced a crisis.

He had even heard that his own father had never laid eyes on the Dragon because it had entered a dormant state.

Dave ignored the notification as he usually did, deciding to check it later in his dorm.

Draco, perched on his shoulder, curiously observed his surroundings. Dave patted the dragon's head, smiling as they continued their walk.

As they walked around, he offered some snacks to Draco, who happily munched on the food he had purchased without a care in the world. Draco's cuteness made him easily capture the attention of many females.

Inside the classroom, Dave took his seat, and Draco settled down on the table.

"Wow! A dragon!"

The students were both stunned and exhilarated to witness a real-life dragon. They had previously only encountered dragons in pictures, which depicted them as fearsome creatures.

However, Draco's adorable appearance had a charming effect on the girls, melting their hearts.

Even the boys were astounded, but not one of them dared to regard Dave with avarice, as it would be tantamount to inviting their demise. They were well aware that a single misstep could lead to their entire family being wiped out by the guardian.

Many students attempted to pet Draco, but the dragon bared its fangs as if warning them. It allowed only Dave to handle it.

Two minutes later, the Tigress entered the room, her face flushed as she glanced at Dave.

Dave smiled, using his skill "Dream" to project an intimate scene between him and Rose. Although Rose couldn't understand why she had such a dream, she was flustered, recalling her morning's discomfort.

Rose noticed Draco and was astounded since dragons were rare creatures. She had met the Divine Beast of the Empire before, so it didn't take her by complete surprise, but she couldn't gauge the power of this baby dragon.

She was certain it was stronger than her. She turned to Dave, who was smiling, and said, "Why are you looking at me like that? Do you want to bully me again? I've already reached Top-tier Grandmaster after my father allowed me to absorb the Dragon Pool in the castle."

Her classmates were taken aback and congratulated her.

"Congratulations Princess!"

Rose smiled, and her arrogance soared to new heights as she basked in the congratulations from everyone.

Dave regarded her with a mildly foolish expression, which immediately irritated Rose.

She considered striking him, but then he declared, "I've already reached Low-Tier King Level, so now you're my girlfriend."

Dave purposely kept his true power hidden, not wanting to reveal it to anyone and only reveal the Low-tier King level.

"What?"

The other students were equally taken aback and couldn't resist congratulating him, attempting to gain favor in his eyes. At such a young age, he had already reached King-tier level, making it seem as if they lived in entirely different worlds.

"Congratulations Young Master Dave."

"You deserve to be called a genius."

Rose was stunned and felt defeated. She aspired to grow stronger to challenge Dave, but for now, he had triumphed.

Dave smiled, hugged her waist, and said, "I hope you'll obey our contract, my lovely Rose," whispering in her ear, causing her face to flush.

Everyone was taken aback to see the typically tyrannical princess blush. It seemed that only Dave had such an effect on her.

Rose didn't know how to respond, but she dared not violate their contract. She reluctantly replied, "Okay, you win, but I don't like you touching me."

Dave grinned and teased, "How can't I touch my girlfriend? I'll report to the emperor that you didn't respect our contract."

Rose, feeling alarmed, promptly agreed, "Okay, okay, don't report me to my father."

She was scared and didn't dare to argue with Dave, who now had the upper hand.

Teacher Lina taught survival skills to her students when they were in the wild. She occasionally glanced at Dave, recollecting their recent encounter.

She couldn't help but feel embarrassed and didn't know how to face him. Seeing him flirt with Rose from time to time added to her irritation.

Despite her discomfort, she chose not to disrupt the class and continued with her teaching.

In the royal castle, various important figures gathered in the hall. The emperor received information that someone had seen Dave walking with a dragon on his shoulders.

Initially, he had contemplated going to the auction house to buy the egg, but various reports about movements from the Turtle Empire had caused him to hesitate.

Later, he learned that the guardian's son had won the bid, relieving his concerns as the egg was in the right hands.

He was convinced that no one would dare to snatch it from the guardian's son because of his formidable father's influence.

Even the emperor himself was wary of the guardian. He recalled an incident from when they were both 15 years old, in which numerous geniuses from other empires attempted to ambush the guardian.

In response, he single-handedly defeated 200 geniuses from three other empires, earning widespread fame.

Witnessing that, the emperor comprehended the guardian's terrifying nature and refrained from provoking him, knowing him to be a ruthless individual.

Many years passed, and the guardian's strength continued to rise, but the emperor remained at the Top-Tier Heavenly Sage level.

Although his current power level was uncertain, he had already reached Peak-Tier by the time he turned 30.

The guardian, now 45 years old, remained an enigmatic figure, and nobody knew the extent of his true power.
