23 Chapter 23 - Am I Now A Cultivator?

"Primordials are sentient aspects of the universe and we have absolute and total control over it. We can never truly be killed as long as our aspects exist, we're immortal. Because we don't disturb them, it's been believed we're asleep but we're not as you can see. So back to the matter on ground, all Primordials are naturally born, so we can already embody our concepts, you probably can't do it because you were granted the powers".

That kinda makes sense, I thought nodding my head.

"So how can I be a true Primordial?", I asked him.

"Successfully embody your concept! That's what being a Primordial is about Perce. A hint, Perce, an embodiment is like a God's Divine Form. So look deep into yourself and unlock your true prowess!", he said walking away.

*****

Look into yourself? Why does that sound like something a yoga instructor would say?

Whatever…

I started meditating. As I meditated, I could see strings, strings of fire, water, etc. Something told me, to touch them, I telekinetically touched the string of water, they unraveled suddenly connecting to me, I could sense the oceans, seas, rivers, and whatever water sources there were, I felt like I was spying on myself? Like, just a blink of my eyes, the seas raged, a swing of my arms, the seas parted, well you get my point, the seas responded to my movements, it was like I was controlling my own body. It felt like a short while, but let me tell you, peeps, it took a long time.

Unbeknownst to me, I glowed with silver light, my body rippling like the seas as I greatly increased in size, I was a fifty meter tall extreme force of nature, Pontus's trident that never appeared since the time I battled Megalodon suddenly appeared in my hand also enlarged.

This time, the seas had recognized me, or had I recognized myself? I was truly the Primordial of the Seas. The trident vibrated in my hands as if celebrating the joy of getting a new owner.

I stood up again, I wanted to fight. I wanted to know how strong I was now…

"Aether! Come out man, I want to test myself", I shouted.

Yawn!

He came out from where he was walking towards me,

"Perce man, you took a long time learning how to embody"

Really?!

"How long?", I asked as it felt like only seconds.

He looked at his watch and told me,

"You spent 300 years, well I expected it to be longer", he said looking at me like I was a genius.

How do you know I'm a genius when no one had ever done this in front of you before?

'Am I a cultivator now?', I thought, laughing. Because only a cultivator would spend a long time understanding a concept or advancing in their realms.

But I've never read web novels or watched anime where are all these random knowledge about them coming from? That's a story for another day.

But wait, 300 years?

"Has Olympus already been destroyed? Because I don't think the Gods can hold on for 300 years", I asked him, part expectant, part scared, part worried, and part ashamed.

He laughed, "ha, it's just been about…? Anyway, this planet was specially modified by Chronos. The time ratio is 1000 years: 1 year. Calculate it", he said, his eyes looking everywhere but at me.

"What a coincidence bro, I'm bad at maths too", I said scratching my head.

He looked at me, his eyes glowing as he smiled at me as if he had found a kindred brother.

"You're bad at maths too?", I nodded.

We ran over to each other and hugged,

""From now on man, you're a blooder of mine"", we both said.

"You need a sparring partner?", he asked me, I nodded.

He created a light sword and I summoned my trident.

He disappeared and reappeared again, creating mirages of himself on the way,

There! The one with the strongest presence, I propelled myself using water I generated from my feet destroying the countless fakes on the way, I pierced at the one I thought was real, only to find that it was a mirage also.

Darn it!

I looked at my trident luckily and saw the sheen of the light dagger Aether conjured.

Can't stop it, he was really fast, I couldn't turn around fast enough to parry with my trident, I hurriedly turned into water and slithered away from where he was.

He stopped again, "I purposely did that though, if I didn't want the light to reflect, it wouldn't, from now on, no more!"

He fired a light blast at my form, part of it already evaporating from the extreme heat, the light generated.

I switched back to my original form, hurriedly generating a huge mass of water and solidifying only both surfaces, using it as a shield, the inside was still normal, so as the blast punched through, the speed was slowed down by the water inside and some parts of the light blast became bent and were refracted and a large part of the blast was also diffused in the water, leaving only a little beam of light which I dispersed with my trident.

I won't say I know what just happened, but I believe it can be explained by science.

SCIENCE!!!!!!! Now I feel like going back to school.

"See that Aether! That's the power of knowledge, science is key!", I shouted at the shocked Aether.

Cringe!!!

I let the erected water fall and used my God-level earth domain to raise the walls secluding us and creating a lake or something like that.

"Good idea! but light would not be restrained", he chuckled, light traveling away from the enclose.

He created a pathway made of light over the water and started running over it, flashing about, I extended my senses about also sensing the water molecules in the air and gathering them, creating little feelers I could use to sense his movements.

I stabbed

Clang! We crossed weapons, blasting away the water, pathway, and surrounding earth creating a gigantic crater on the ground.

In a fraction of a second, we crossed weapons countless times, I had countless cuts on my body as he was much faster than me, though they were already healing.

He was still unscathed though, he was always quicker than my water blasts easily light traveling away.

We went at it for a long time until I called it off, as neither of us had gone all out and I felt like even if I did I still might not be able to touch him. If only I could somehow hold him down, but he melted ice easily with his hot light and the earth had not been upgraded to the primordial level, so he easily broke out of it by heating and making it strong. But I still felt like he was humoring me as he could always easily light travel.

I had to practice more and embody more of my concepts, if not I had no chance in hell holding him down.
