7 Chapter 7: Training Sven

"L-let's r-run!" As expected, the cowardly Sven was overcome by his fears and wants to flee, but how would Caizher allow that?

"Bullshit! There's only ten of them, what do we need to be afraid of?" Caizher said while rolling his imaginary eyes. Sven looked at the darkness with an unbelieving expression. "What only ten? That's ten fallens, five times our number!"

"Whatever, if you flee today don't let me see you again. I'll really kill you!" Hearing his words made Sven flinch. This uncle darkness of his is really vicious!

Without a choice, Sven tightened his grip on the sharp knife on his hand. Although he was scared of the fallens but he knew that if he can't stay at the mansion, only death awaits him

Caizher was the first one to move, he controlled his darkness and made a tentacle-like shape from it. But he made the tip to be sharp. He used the sharp tentacle to pierced the fallen's eyes and destroy its brain

Attacking through the eyes is the most efficient way. Caizher is still not powerful enough to break the fallens' bones like it was just some paper

After killing one of them, Caizher didn't stop. The first tentacle dissipated and returned back to the normal intangible darkness before Caizher made another sharp tentacle on his side to kill another fallen

He already killed two fallens in a short time but the youth still didn't make a move. Caizher locked his vision on the trembling Sven and grumbled

"Brat, do you want me to kill all of them for you?" Caizher said before retreating from the fallens. After putting some distance, Caizher made a palm out of his darkness and used it to shove Sven in the fallens' direction

"Uwaahh!! Wait!!" Sven panicked to see that he's too close to the fallens now. One of them swung its arm intending to smack Sven on it

However, Sven's survival instincts kicked in again. Sven's mana did its wonder and was converted into winds that covered his body. The winds around him boosted his speed and Sven dodged the fallen's attack

It's like Sven changed into another person as his eyes looked cold and serious. After dodging an attack, he charged back at the fallen and swung his knife on its neck. With his speed, the fallen doesn't have any chance of dodging his attacks

However, Sven's strength is still low and he only made a slightly deep cut on the fallen's neck before the other eight fallens charged at him

Sven was forced to retreat first and the seriousness on his eyes vanished and returned back to the naive and innocent ones. "Wahh! Uncle, that was dangerous!" Sven blamed the darkness that pushed him into a dangerous situation

"Just shut up and kill! Why talk too much?" Caizher really thinks that this brat has another personality. At normal times, the youth was too stupid. However, when his life is threatened, the brat will explode with high potential

Caizher turned to kill fallens again. He controlled his darkness once more to make a sharp tentacle. Even after months of training, he still can only do this much. His darkness body is a few cubic meters big, how many tentacles he can make from that?

Too bad that controlling one of it at a time is his limit.

Every time that Caizher makes a move, it would be a death sentence for the fallens. Without a surprise, the third tentacle managed to kill its target

"Brat, who said you can rest? You still haven't killed any fallen yet!" Sven was originally scared but seeing how strong his uncle darkness, lessened his fear

The youth covered his knife with mana causing winds to form around it. Before, his whole body was the one that is covered by winds but now it was only his weapon

With newfound courage from having a powerful being on his side, Sven shouted like a barbarian and charged at the fallen that he attacked before

Sven attacked the area that he cut earlier and he successfully beheaded the fallen. However, the speed of his knife was too fast for his body to take and he loses his grip on it. The knife flew in Caizher's direction and entered his darkness body

Fortunately, Sven's mana dissipated after the attack on the fallen and it didn't cause any harm to Caizher. But it still made the man angry. "You damn idiot! Do you want to kill me?" Caizher swear that if he didn't want to discriminately kill people, this brat would already be dead long ago

"Wahh!! Sorry! It was an accident! Accident!" Sven wiped the cold sweats that formed on his forehead before running inside Caizher's body to retrieve his knife. This is the apocalypse, he's feeling uncomfortable without any weapon on his hand

"Uh? Where am I?" As Sven entered Caizher's body, the darkness around made him lose his vision. It's too dark and he cannot even see his hand in front of him much less his knife

"Truly an idiot!" Caizher shook his imaginary head and moved his body and Sven was able to see again. The youth immediately retrieved his knife but a palm pushed him again in the fallens' direction

"If you have the time to be stupid, use it to kill fallens!"

Caizher's 'palm' dissipated and he formed another sharp tentacle to continue killing

He now wonders if training this brat is the right decision. There are only ten fallens but it's taking them a lot of time to finish because of the many interruptions caused by this Sven

After some time, the two finally killed all of the fallens. Caizher killed eight of them while Sven killed only two. What a weakling!

"Wooh! They are finally dead!" Sven heaved a sigh of relief as if he killed a lot of them

The youth was about to sit on the ground to rest but Caizher stops him. "No time for rest, let's continue! If you are in school, your performance will give you a negative F!"

Sven pouted and doesn't have any choice but to follow the floating darkness

However, the sound of the birds entered their ears. The two looked at the sky and saw a group of five birds diving in their direction

"Ahh! Wait!! Why are you so fast!" Sven panicked for the nth time at seeing how fast the birds are moving. Caizher wasn't afraid though. If these birds only know how to use physical attacks, Caizher doesn't have to worry as they will not be able to harm him at all

Just like before, Sven changed into a new person and winds covered his body again. With the help of his speed-boosting ability, Sven dodged the birds coming on his way. As for Caizher, he just let the birds enter his body

The birds were shocked as their surroundings turned dark suddenly. They decided to fly away immediately but Caizher made crude club-like shape darkness that he used to smack one of the birds

As the birds are smaller and even their bodies are softer, Caizher one-shot killed one of the birds and its bloody body fell on the ground

Sven was the same and swung his knife on one of the birds. It left a huge cut on the bird and its internal organs almost spilled out from its body

These birds might be stronger than normal birds but compared to human bodies, their bodies are still too weak. The birds are also not fallens and the two didn't need to behead or destroy their brains to kill them

The three birds as if they didn't witness how their comrades were killed easily charged back at the two as if they were angered by the death of two of them

Just like before, Caizher controlled his darkness to make a club shape weapon that he used against these birds

It was the birds' wrong decision that caused their deaths. But maybe, they are just forced to hunt humans as food. Even plants and trees mutated and won't easily let any creature get a part of them

Their fruits are a part of their body. Would you let people you don't even know eat you? Of course not!

Sven returned back to normal and stared at the birds with a drooling mouth. "Meat! Fresh meat! I can finally eat fresh meat hahaha!" The brat was so happy

Caizher wants to continue fighting fallens but decided to come back to the mansion. The way Sven fought is too crude and doesn't have any skills on it. If they continue, the youth won't have much progress

He decided to teach Sven some basic skills before letting him have more battle experience. What he wants is to nurture people that will become strong that he might possibly need their help in the future

What a selfish reason! If Sven learned that this was actually Caizher's goal, how would he react? He thought that uncle darkness might act badly sometimes but is actually kind and nice inside!

He didn't know that Caizher just intended to use him as you will never know when a good connection will be needed

Thus, the two returned back to the mansion while Sven was carrying the five dead birds. The way he holds them was full of disgust. The birds' blood was still dripping and the youth doesn't like the smell but these are food!

Not just normal foods but delicious and fresh foods! Although Sven is happy to have something to eat but he's already tired of eating biscuits or canned foods

After some time, they finally entered the mansion but Caizher suddenly snatch the birds away from Sven much to the youth's surprise

"Wahh Uncle! If you want to eat too I will share it but don't take it all away!" Tears were literally gathering around Sven's eyes. He was the one that carried it all the way here but his uncle just took it from him like that. How cruel!

'Eat your head! Do you think I can eat?!'

"Idiot, these birds are all yours but you need to work hard for it!"

"But I already worked hard for it! I killed some of them and even carried them all the way here!" Sven protested at the unfair treatment he is experiencing

"Shut up and don't talk back!" Sven acted as if he was zippering his mouth due to fear. He doesn't want to get injured again and stopped talking

"The way you fight is too idiotic! You don't even have a basic skill. I will train you and you can only eat after I see some improvements from you!"

Sven's eyes lit up when he heard that he is getting trained but the next words made him pout. He wants to eat now!

"Go find a key in the master's bedroom, use it to open the basement, and choose a weapon there" Caizher then taught Sven the directions

Modern weaponry like guns was no more but the Vel family does not only have hot weapons. Cold ones are also plenty! All sorts of cold weapons that you can imagine are stored in the weapon room

Going there personally will be faster but Caizher being Caizher, he's too lazy and just let Sven go on his own

Sven turned his back while sulking a bit and walked to obey Caizher's order but the man called him back again when he already took ten steps

Sven blew raspberries on his mouth and head back to Caizher

"Get me a sword too, now shoo!" Sven felt as if he was a puppy being ordered by his cruel owner

Caizher was left there alone and the man just continued getting more familiar with his body. He is training to make two weapons from his darkness that he can control at the same time

If he can use two sharp tentacles, it would boost his fighting power. But doing it is really hard and he still needs some time to succeed

If this goes on, maybe it would take a year for him to use his body in an efficient way
