2 Chapter 2: Black Eye

With swift movements, Caizher used one of his daggers to penetrate the fallen's eyes. The insides of these fallens might not have turned into a 'meat paste' but it's already damaged. Their brains are their weakness and the only way to kill them is to land a strong enough blow on their brains or behead them

As the fallen's eyes are soft, the dagger has no problem piercing it easily. Caizher felt that his dagger pierced the fallen's brain and was about to retract his hand but another one of the fallens reached his side

The fallen used its arm and was about to smack him with it but Caizher is not someone to be underestimated. His free hand went to block the fallen's arm using his dagger. He left a deep cut on it but was not able to severe the arm

Gray blood splashed dying the black dagger in gray. Caizher used this chance to pull some distance between him and the remaining two fallens

He retracted his hands and moved backward. He might be skillful but how can it be that easy to kill fallens? Caizher let the two fallens charged at his position and when the first one reached him; he lowered his body to dodge its attack. He raised his right hand and used the tip of his dagger to attack the eyes again

Just like the first one, the dagger easily penetrated the fallen's eye and killed it by landing a blow on its brain. Caizher then raised his body and landed a kick on the dead fallen's abdomen causing it to collide on the only fallen left

The surviving fallen loses its balance and fell on the ground. Caizher naturally wouldn't miss this chance and killed the final fallen

The process might look easy but it wasn't as easy as it looks. Over this one year, it wasn't only the humans that became powerful, even the fallens are!

Although most of them only used their bodies but it was further strengthened by mana. While some of the fallens gained special abilities like shooting fire

"Hmm, three is not enough. I want to fight more!" Caizher muttered in a disappointed manner. If other humans heard him, they will surely want to kick him in the ass

Here they are, wishing to never encounter any fallen, but this man actually wants to meet them! How can this not anger them?

"Well, whatever. I'm too lazy to find them" Caizher said in a lazy manner and head back to the black door. He sat down on the ground and rested his back on the door

Caizher looks at the blue sky while being bored. "Stupid door, why can't you attract more fallens!"

If only the door could move, it would surely smack Caizher on the head. Actually, one of the reasons why Caizher settled down here was because the door attracted some enemies

Caizher is too lazy to search for fallens. While for the big cities that the previous era has, something is lacking in them and that is food!

In the past year, humans continuously scavenged for foods, and all supermarkets were left empty. Caizher loves fighting and danger but he doesn't want to have a hard time finding food. He's a battle maniac yet also quite lazy

Moments passed and there are still no fallens attracted by the door and Caizher is really bored now. He was about to head back to his little village when the ground suddenly trembled

Caizher is bored but he's also alert. If not, how can he survive one year in the apocalypse just by himself?

He quickly stood up while raising his guard. But if one look at Caizher's eyes you will see a desire to fight on it

"Eh? What is it? What is it? Is it a strong enemy coming?" Caizher asked himself excitedly. A creature that can make this strong earthquake is bound to be something strong. How can Caizher not be excited?

Although the creature might be powerful enough to kill him in one blow but so what? If you're dead then you're dead. Life is meant to experience all sorts of things!

Caizher is not afraid of dying from a powerful enemy. The intensity of the violent trembling of the ground rose and Caizher almost loses his balance. But he put strength on his legs for him to be able to continue standing

The sound of something breaking entered Caizher's ears. He turned his head on his back with difficulty and saw that the black door was also trembling violently

"What's wrong with this door? I thought I will encounter a powerful enemy!" Caizher was disappointed that the cause of this strong earthquake is the black door

"Why make an earthquake? You should be attracting fallens, you stupid door!" Caizher scolded the door and as if the door was angered, it opened up and the man can see complete darkness inside

Caizher felt a pulling force so powerful that he can't resist even just for a bit. He loses control of his body and was swallowed by that black door

"Eh? Don't be like this. I'm sorry for calling you stupid!" Caizher shouted

He might not be afraid of death but that doesn't mean he wants to die now. Who knows what sort of thing he will experience after he entered that door? If he will die, he wants to die fighting a strong enemy!

Caizher can't help but close his eyes from the pressure. When he reopened his eyes, he saw that he was in a place filled with darkness

No, scratch that, he cannot even see. Everywhere of him was pure darkness without any hint of light. Caizher was puzzled but he had a feeling that only darkness existed in this place

There is no light, even time and space didn't exist here. Caizher doesn't know why he had that weird feeling

It's like only pure darkness is present here. Other things are unnecessary

"That stupid door! How am I supposed to survive here?" If he was thrown in a dangerous world with powerful monsters then he would embrace it wholeheartedly

But no, he's currently in a strange place. Just like what he said, he wants to die fighting enemies, not because of the limitation of his human body. Where can he find food and water in a place like this?

This is so fucked up!

Suddenly, in front of Caizher, a familiar eye appeared but it was much smaller than before. It was the same eye that rendered humanity's years of research useless. It destroyed all modern weaponry causing the humans to have a harder time surviving in the apocalypse

If they have their guns, would humans even be pushed this hard?

Goosebumps appeared all over Caizher's body. He never felt this kind of fear before. He's like a mortal being stared by a God. Caizher even had the feeling that this eye is something even more superior than Gods

A Supreme being that no one can contend to. He knows that the eye can kill him if it wants but he won't die without putting up a fight!

Caizher tried to control his mana to make daggers but he found out that his mana won't obey him which surprised him. This kind of thing never happened before

It was as if the black eye knew every movement of his and a hint of amusement can be seen on it. Caizher gritted his teeth and was about to use his physical body to fight but the eye suddenly glowed with a dark light

In an instant, Caizher's body was disintegrated. Not even leaving a speck of dust. But weird enough, what was left of his body was a ball of light and Caizher still has his awareness

"S-so powerful!" Caizher thought to himself. How can this kind of thing be possible? Just one stare from the eye turned him like this

The eye didn't stop and the ball of light which is Caizher's soul turned into millions of small lights. Then, the darkness on the surroundings rushed at those small lights corrupting it

The previous pure lights turned into black corrupted ones. The sensation of having your soul divided into millions of pieces was so painful that Caizher should have lost his consciousness after it happened

But it didn't, it's like the eye wants him to feel the pain. This pain was the most painful thing Caizher experienced. He wants to scream, shout and kill himself to escape from the pain

No matter how tough you are, you will want to die if you experienced this kind of pain. He's already in so much pain but when the darkness corrupted his broken soul it gave him even more pain

Caizher wants to roar in pain but without a body, how can he do that?

The pain only subsided when the corruption finished. The now millions of darks light condensed into a single ball of light. But now, the color completely changed

After his soul become complete again, Caizher almost lose his mind from the strong killing intent he had. But maybe because he already has strong willpower before and it was even upgraded by his soul tearing into millions of pieces, he managed to calm himself and put away those murderous thoughts

Caizher might love fighting before but he's not a killing maniac. But the corruption on his soul was so strong that if he doesn't suppress the killing intent, he would surely start a bloodbath

The eye looks as if it was satisfied that Caizher managed to suppressed the strong killing intent

The darkness around rushed again to Caizher's complete soul and gave him a new body. As more darkness was poured on him, the more powerful Caizher feels

He loses his body but he also gained a new one. Albeit his body now is only a complete mass of darkness without any definite shape. But the power it has was so powerful that Caizher was drowned in it

The eye shot a black light straight to Caizher's soul and various information appeared on the man's mind. It was just some basic information about his new body but without a doubt, it will be a huge help for him

What really surprised Caizher was a cultivation manual called "Primordial Darkness Heretic Art" it has an imposing name. Just hearing the name of it will make one think that it is very powerful

"Defy the heavens" the eye transmitted straight into Caizher's mind and the man can feel the power and authority it has. The voice was so ancient that only hearing it was enough to make you feel fear down to the core

But now, Caizher doesn't feel much fear towards this supreme being. If it really wants him dead, it can do so easily. Why would a powerful being like this hold back?

The eye vanished, the darkness vanished and Caizher was thrown into a strange space again

His body was covered by a barrier and he saw that he was automatically traveling on what looks like a space tunnel

Caizher cannot feel it but the space-time itself was distorted. The world was angered as the laws were thrown into disarray. However, the eye appeared once again that twisted the world's law in another place

The heavens were angered and were forced to ignore the distortion of space-time around Caizher. Compared to what the eye did, Caizher traveling in time was just a small matter

The heavens furiously worked to repair the world's law while looking at the black eye angrily. The eye was so arrogant to wreak havoc on its world!

The heavens roared and space itself trembled. An 'outsider' actually pushed it like this. The eye itself wasn't that powerful compared to the whole world but was more than powerful enough to cause some permanent damage if the heavens won't make a move

The heavens repaired the laws that were continuously destroyed by the eye. Fortunately for it, the rate of destruction was slower than the rate of repair

The eye was contending with the whole world after all. After the heavens repaired the laws, it caused the space-time around the eye to constrict it

Even the elements were used to lock it in place. Everything in the world around that eye was used to defeat it. The eye's enemy is the world itself and it doesn't have any ability to resist much and was unsurprisingly destroyed
