Raya looked hesitant, the offer was, well, the offer was something.

as far as I knew the only real drawback of being a primal is the long lifespan, but she's a vampire and has been around for a thousand ish years or so, that shouldn't be a downside, but something was holding her back from choosing right now.

as much as I like to mess with her this was a decision you'd need to think about, so pushing her into this wouldn't be happening.

"take your time, we're all gonna live a while, you don't have to choose right now."(syn)

mumbles of agreement arose from the primals, Raya seemed to calm down a bit as well, the growing tension in the air fading as fast as it arose.

I was about to walk closer to Raya but my senses started blaring, my eyes scanning and my muscles tensing.

and faster than I'd ever done before I was directly in front of the serpent primal, an all black metal spear in hand, a mere inch from his nose.

"wow!....thanks!"(Jyn)

I nodded at him and dropped the spear into his hands.

he caught it easily and started to move it around, it was as if he knew what to do with it.

"ah hello new friend."(Jyn)

does he collect spears or something?

I pushed the thought aside and focused towards the direction the spear had come from,

a large mass of moving figures stampeding their way over, several figures taking to the skies.

I looked at vyde the dragon, he nodded and his wings ripped open with a loud swoosh, the power behind then was incredible.

I flapped my own wings, their power nothing to scoff at either.

they may not look as cool as his, but don't mistake them as weak.

we both flapped them downwards hard, taking off into the sky aggressively, both of us staying somewhat next to each other as best we could, our wings nearly touching as they flapped.

I shouted for him to go ahead, I would make an aerial stand here, he laughed heartily before loudly approving, taking off to go find some strong opponents, the ones he didn't chase after all coming my way, their wings all bat like and dark, their bodies skinny and emaciated.

[demon bat people, condition:starved]

of course they are.

this was the perfect time to test these wings, I kept myself still in a hover with my flaps, each flap sending out a barrage of feathers speeding towards the demons at great speeds, every time they impacted they blew through their bodies, massive gaping holes opening as dark and clotted blood began spilling out of them, dripping down onto the ground and houses below, whatever it touched melted a bit, not entirely but a few inches, the hut roofs stood no chance against it.

my eyes turned back to them, it was dangerous for them to wander, especially with their damaging blood.

I kept my distance as I sent more and more feathers towards them, they would fall and more would replace them, they were like cannonfodder, shock troops, decoys.

I figured I might as well potentially earn something from this, (evolving siphon) and its passive activating as their life energy flowed directly into me.

this wave would die as well, another taking its place, this time there were nearly hundreds, the sky was dark and filled with the flaps of wings, horrifying mutated bat speaks filling my ears.

dozens would die to my siphon, my body feeling more than boosted as my muscles physically doubled in size and I felt my hearts strain.

[near overload of life energy, need immediate release!]

my system used punctuation, this must be serious.

I figured that I'd listen to the voice, saddened at the loss of a good boost but grateful I wouldn't die, focusing all the newly gained energy into a ball, a tiny ball, I forced it outwards, it exploded the second it came in contact with the air.

my world was awash with blinding light as my ears rang with defending volume, my balance gone as my wings flapped chaotically, my body crashing straight into the ground, a crater forming.

[level up x5, +1,000 to all stats]

[new race ability: (elder siphon bomb) created]

my eyes immediately opened wide, my mouth agape as I stared into the sky, hundreds and hundreds of demon corpses rained down, splattering on the ground sickly as the other primals looked at me with shock.

[stat gain shared across family]

that means they now have a +1,400 stat boost now.

does it work the other way as well?

[affirmative]

Raya pov...

the primals were like nothing else I've ever seen, their power was incredible and their fighting was pure animal, well nearly, all of them, including Syn, had something, not an ability but something learned and trained, something that made their combat an entirely different level from just animal.

their dodging was fluid and free while their attacks held little to no pattern, their abilities overwhelming their enemies, all of them, including Syn, had massive smiles on their face as they battled.

their enemies losing limb and life as they searched for more, it was both beautiful and terrifying, there were seven of these monsters, seven beings strong enough to fight an entire army on their own, each taking their own section, Syn who was knocked from the sky by his own ability was now back aerial, his wings flapping with power and excitement as most of them remained on the ground, several craters, cracks, and other damage was littered through the land in almost every direction, the small town we were in was nearly decimated as I stood there and watched with baited breath as these magnificent creatures took on the wrath of the underworld itself, with a smile.
