completing some side quests

"alright fine, you can come with."(syn) I said with voice full of resignation, if it would complete a quest then so be it but after this I want nothing to do with God politics, but we all know that isn't really how it's gonna play out for me, dammit!

[you're gonna need clothes, so is she, I refuse to let you enter a god domain in...that]

I looked down to see what it was talking about, really? now there's an issue with my clothes?

[yes]

I rolled my eyes, my system giving me directions as I reluctantly followed them, my hand traveling along invisible Intricate symbols, bringing them to life as they formed, slowly creating a large circle with odd language and images I wasn't familiar with.

the circle blasted towards us, passing through me then the girl, flowy and elegant looking silk like robes appeared over us, replacing pur clothes.

the garments somewhat like a Greek styled dress, an all gray with hints of black and red in its patterning along the edges of the clothes.

I turned to face the circles path of travel and at the end of it behind my emissary was a portal, an extravagant dining room with similarly dressed people idling around a large table.

do it for the sidequests.

and so I did, taking careful and slow steps, forcing my feet one after another as I led the girl by the hand as I passed her, leading us both into this large dining room.

the second my foot passed the room the first two side quests were completed.

[+150,000 to stats, now at 350,000 only 150,000 remaining till mid tier god hood]

my body surged with energy, the other gods heads now all in my direction, their eyes studying me as I let nothing slip in my expression amd body language, to everyone I was calm.

the girl behind me was another story, she was a mess, a nervous wreck, not helping.

I nodded to the still staring gods and led my emissary away from the group of at least 50, looks like there's alot of minor gods.

[there are, the higher you go up the totem pole of gods the fewer there are]

this piqued my interest, you'd think of someone could make it to minor god they could make it to mid tier and so forth, but I guess that's not reality.

I wonder how many full gods there are?

[besides nature, not many]

that's surprising, what kinds are there?

[there's nature, creation, and wisdom]

that's it?!

[at the moment yes]

I was nearly floored at the news, there's only three full gods, I couldn't belive it, I mean who gets reincarnated into a world that only has three gods?!

[you did, along with the other primals]

does this thing seriously not know what a rhetorical question is?

cause I mean I know for a fact I've used them in front of the system voice, hell even to the system voice!

I sighed, releasing my questions as I calmed my mind, it wasn't a good idea to get worked up right now, minor gods aren't exactly what I call nice.

[you're the not nice one]

ha.ha.

"you've been staring a that one spot for a while now, you good?"(emissary)

"yeah, fine.....just peachy."(syn) I said with fake enthusiasm on the last part.

"well then, down to business. so far there's a couple demons here, at least two elves, one dwarf, and a handful of dragons."(emissary)

"lemme guess, all minor gods?"(syn)

she nodded.

looks like reaching god hood isn't something humans are able to do.

I was happy to remain thinking on the subject but my emissary bowed, a hand touching my shoulder.

my eyes narrowed as my body spun, my hand snatching the arm and squeezing, a small wince of pain as the person tried to remain composed reaching my ears.

"woah sorry! didn't mean to scare you!"(minor elf god)

my eyes glowed as I moved my face closer to the elf, holding him close.

"what do you want?"(syn)

I released him at that moment as well, his body flopping to the ground, his feet scurrying under him as he righted himself, smoothing his clothes and clearing his throat.

"it seems we have a new minor god among us tonight, I came here as the eldest to welcome you."(minor elf god)

scan him.

[stats below 200,000]

what the fuck?! didn't he say he was the oldest?!

[don't compare him to a monster like yourself, your growth isn't normal]

huh....

I calmed myself, reaching a hand out, his hand taking it as we shook, introducing ourselves to one another.

"names bariilys."(minor elf god)

"names Syn."(minor primal god of calamity aka the primal of destruction)

an uneasy studying broke between me and the elf, he was much more terrified of me than I was him, his body uncontrollably shaking as he could undoubtedly see my true aura, his eyes climbing to the ceiling as he audibly gulped.

"it seems you've grown very quickly."(bariilys) said, trying to make small talk.

I just nodded, leaving him to watch my aura, fascinated by how terrified it made him look.

"well welcome, I've got some friends to return to, you're always welcome."(bariilys)

he forcefully released his sweaty hands from my grip, slinking back to his group of people, leaving us to our corner.

"I know why he was terrified."(emissary)

I moved my focus to the girl, acknowledging her statement and urging her to continue.

"it's nothing but pure power and violence given form, anything with a survival instinct will fear it, I'm the exception since I'm your emissary."(emissary)

that was interesting, how was she immune? this whole im immune because of this wasn't working as an explanation for me.

"so, you said you were my emissary."(syn) I said, seemingly out of nowhere.

she nodded, not following my logic as I'd interrupted a conversation to follow this.

"explain how that works to me."(syn)

she released a weighted breath, something about the topic was effecting her deeply.

"well one day I just woke up with a title amd some abilities, visions showing me how to find you."(emissary)

seems it was vague and misunderstood by her too, she might know about the abilities bit asking her about the cause and the reason is pointless, she wouldn't know.

"so what is it you're supposed to do for me?"(syn) I asked.

"I'm supposed to carry out and represent your will, able to borrow some lf your power to do the job."(emissary)

not gonna lie that sounds like a drag.

"why would anyone want to do that?"(syn)

she shrugged, even she didn't want to do that, maybe she really should've just gone home.

"look don't worry about it, I'll look into this and get back to you."(emissary)

"yeah...sure.."(syn)

she did this little bow thing to me and started walking away, the portal that took us here opening in front of her.

the second I couldnt see her anymore I dashed through the portal, I didn't have a reason to stay there anyway so why not?
