Chapter 34

Kirk had let out a loud scream of joy before he tackled Felicia in a hug, causing the woman to grunt in surprise before she returned the hug.

“Come on Kirk, you couldn’t have missed me that bad.” Felicia joked, knowing that if she didn’t make light of the situation, then she would probably burst into tears.

It was too late for Kirk, though, because as soon as he had wrapped his arms around Felicia, Kirk had started to bawl. “We haven’t known anything other than what Sebastian has told us! We didn’t know if you were alive, w-we didn’t-”

“Hey, it’s okay now.” Felicia pulled away, wiping the tears from her friend’s face. “I’m going to be okay, I found a cure, and it’s working, I’ll be at a hundred percent before you know it.”

“Why are you wearing those kinds of clothes?” Kirk asked her. “And that hat? You don’t wear hats, not unless it’s really cold. What are you hiding?”

“Kirk,” Eddie spoke softly. “Just let it go.”
