1 Our history

its the year 2220.... two hundred years ago one of the worlds power decided to experiment on the human embryos adding animal DNA and something else they found on a ancient artifact. As the first babies were born you couldn't see anything wrong with the child but, as the new generation grew, they became stronger ,faster, healthier but what they didnt predict that after altering the DNA again, they created The youkai. Some youkai are immortal while some are geniuses that saved the planet of pollution and war. They are a specie so powerful that eclipsed the human race. Some youkai decided to keep their blood 'pure' ,deciding to mate only between their race or only youkai. It was the same in the camp humans, even if there are a lot of youkai in the world, there are still some humans that despise what they created callling us demons but in all this bullshit i was born.

Me.... i am Yuki, i am a half breed.....i am seventeen and i learn at Sakura's high.

I dont know what kind of youkai i am because i live with my father and i dont know who is my mother.

My father had a adventure when he was a high schooler himself and at a party he slept with more than one girl but after 9 months i was his surprise of his birthday.... yes i know what you think .... i was born on the same day as my father. How does he knows im his son?...well i have the same birth mark on my body , i have a butterfly on my tight, while his is brown i have a crimson red butterfly....

Because of my look was always a motive for other children to tease me , at the age of 8 i asked my father to dye my hair in the same shade of brown and at the age of 10 i asked for contact lens. Now i have a fit body with white skin ,dark brown hair and brown eyes but my real look is white hair.... almost silver, white fair skin and turquoise blue eyes. I know what you will think about..... I look like a elf from those old movies.

I am shy and because of this i have only two friends that are with me since kindergarten ,i'm not a social butterfly so no one notice me, lucky for me i am invisible and i want to stay that way.

Last year we start to have money problems after my father got sick for 2 months. The doctors said it was a weird flu that took the lives of 1500 people world wide but thanks of a youkai called Daime they found the cure before it took more lives.

As my father got better, our finances got worse, he got fired and at the new job he barely had enough to pay the bills and i think i should get a part time job.

I am lost in my thoughts looking out of the window and i didnt hear my father call me....

'Yuki...did you heard me?'

' Im sorry i was in my thoughts...'

' its ok , i asked if you can take the school bus home because i need to work extra hours for a raise .'

' I was thinking to get a job ,you know.... to help.'

-'Really? But i want you to keep learning in school. I dont want you to give up now when you have only one year.'

' I won't. I will search for a part time job .'

'You know i will never take your money....we will manage just fine like this.'

' I want to help.'

-'How about this , we will see how you will manage keeping school and a job on the line and i will think about it.'

'Yes. You will see i can do it.'

As my father pulled the car in front of the school he turned to look at me intensely.

' I look at you and i miss the you from ten years ago...'

' What do you mean.'

' The innocent you, the real you ,the one with a youkai look that was so cute.'

' Ohhh. I don't...'

' Go.. you will be late at your first hour.'

-'By dad.'

As i got out of the car ,i saw Karl and Ron talking with some girls and i remember that i forgot again to talk with my father about my sexuality, I am gay and the only ones that know are my best friends and they accept me for who i am.

In this world is very rare for a youkai to be gay so my chances to find my mate are slim to none..... that if my mate is youkai as well, but it could be human ...its not forbidden to be gay, not like 250 years ago when humans were using religion to stop or forbid sexual intercourse with the same sex . But even now there are some that use the same excuse to hurt you....

I walk the path to meet with my friends and someone pushes me...

'Move fag. Your in my way....'

I ignore him because i know he is a moron and i choose to continue my way.

'Hey Yuki...are you okay..?'

'Yes , lets go ,i don't want to be late...'

The day is so boring for me. The same lectures about Youkai and humans and the wars .... As the last minute from the last hour my teacher started to talk about the leader of the nations..

'Class.... next week it will be the visit of The Leader and his son decided to open next week the biggest hotel complex in the town. Maybe you will be on your best behavior so we could participate in the welcoming party. See you next week....'

I don't know why but from all her speech i heard only about a new hotel soo.....new jobs.

A great idea..

I took the bus and as i arrived at home i opened a file browse and i start to look about jobs at hotels and.....there., a part time job to take care of plants and another one to cleaning . I will apply to both of them and hope i will be called at a interview.

The week passed like wind and i almost forgotten about the interview until i saw a unknown number calling

'Hello ,is this Yuki Maltai.?'

'Yes?'

'we will like for you to come at a interview Saturday morning at 9.'

'Ok, great what is the address of the hotel?'

' The address is at the new hotel complex called Saranghae Hotel.'
