The Sword and Darkness

Anton ignored the demon's roar; his focus was entirely on controlling his divine energy with his right hand, which had moved across his entire body. Under the necessity that his attacks couldn't be healed, the light energy emitted from his body caused particles of light to appear around him.

Anton's speed was supernatural; no one could believe they were witnessing a Guardian Bishop. Knowing that the deathly aura had disappeared the moment the Guardian Bishop moved, everyone associated his strength with his title.

As Anton advanced, the furious demon did the same, and its speed was nothing extraordinary. Compared to Anton, the demon seemed to lack speed beyond that of an ordinary human.

"[5,000 Faith Points have been used!]"

At that moment, a shocking scene unfolded. As if the demon sensed something wrong with Anton's attack, it abruptly stopped. It looked around and, spotting a parked car nearby, with a movement of its hand, sent the car hurtling towards Anton.

Boom!

Anton, focused solely on piercing through the demon's body, took the impact to his side, sending him flying to the side. He rolled several times before coming to a stop.

"Contain the dark entity, fire!"

The soldiers, witnessing this, felt a chilling sensation. All those on a safe perimeter started firing at the demon.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"Ahhhhh!"

Emulating what it did moments ago, the demon waved its hand, and a car, as if controlled by telekinesis, crashed into some soldiers, causing them to cease fire.

"Everyone will die tonight!" shouted the demon. However, by chance, it glanced in the direction where Anton was before, only to find he wasn't in the same position where he had fallen.

"Where are you?"

At that moment, covered in a cloak of darkness, Anton appeared behind the demon like a ghost. Brandishing his sword, he attacked vertically, attempting to cut the demon in half. However, using telekinesis, the demon deflected the powerful strike, losing its left arm in the process.

"Hmm..." Anton snorted and, changing his attack stance, slid his right leg into the demon's stomach.

Boom!

The powerful strike sent the demon flying like a meteor, crashing among several vehicles. Anton, not finished yet, waved his hand, and two dark blades shot toward where the demon had fallen.

The abnormal explosion of the vehicle was also due to Anton discreetly using several grenades. Only then did Anton have time to wipe the blood from his forehead. He felt several ribs in his body were broken, and his entire body screamed in pain.

"You're fascinating. I wonder how you've acquired all that power being just a simple human." The demon's voice came from within the darkness. Seemingly unaffected, except for its severed left arm, it walked slowly.

A few meters away, Anton wore a serious expression. He didn't want to engage in conversation with a demon, so he raised his sword. This time, there were traces of both darkness and light shining from his body.

Without uttering a word, Anton once again ran toward the direction of the demon, and at that moment, the surroundings seemed to slow down. The demon, as if not feeling the force of Anton's attack, unleashed all its power. Demonic darkness sprouted from its body, attempting to play with Anton's mind, but it discovered he had powerful defenses.

"Return whence you came!"

The soldiers in their surroundings, recovering from the shock, didn't understand how Anton had returned to the battlefield so quickly. However, they didn't care. Everyone believed that no one but Anton could eliminate the demon before them.

Roarrrrr!

Once again releasing that divine energy within his body, Anton didn't hold back. The red shadow in front of him seemed to change from time to time, but he paid it no mind.

Through prayer, Anton even cut through the air with his sword. Onlookers around were worried that success might not be achieved tonight. Many had died, and they estimated that more would perish if they couldn't contain the dark entity in this place.

The speed of the two figures facing off was surprisingly fast. Few could see what was happening because it was as if light and darkness clashed from their perspectives.

Boom!

At that moment, a loud sound echoed, vibrating even the walls. The firm power of light shattered the darkness. Those still conscious could only see a flash of light before the two strikes collided.

Within that light, Anton was unleashing powerful attacks against the demon, who seemed much stronger than he had initially thought.

In that moment, Anton found himself surrounded by darkness, but he could still see his target, so he swung forward. The distance was still too long, and the demon seemed to have dodged his attack well, so he only managed to cut its chest. However, Anton emerged unscathed from this attack because, from an unknown source, a piece of a car's panel shot towards his head, intending to cut his face.

Crack!

Evading this attack, Anton received a fierce cut that nearly cost him his left eye. Nevertheless, his field of vision was affected when he tried to keep his eye open. Blood had entered, causing half of his vision to be tinted red.

But under his control, the sword in his hand changed position, attempting to pierce the demon's heart and finally end this demon.

Boom!

However, using its telekinesis, the demon prevented Anton's sword from advancing and sent his attacker flying backward. The demon managed to sidestep a few times, but this time, Anton wouldn't give it the chance. As he retreated, he pulled out his Desert Eagle and fired several shots, attempting to hit the demon in the head. The demon recoiled and hid in the darkness.

Anton, emerging from the darkness, shouted, "Everyone, fire!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

All the soldiers who were alert immediately began firing at that dark curtain. The flashes from those shots illuminated the surroundings, and Anton, knowing he couldn't escape because the entire underground parking lot was a barrier, calmed down.

But that calm was shattered when he heard a voice say, "Jack, where are you?"
