The Rules Have Changed

Anton didn't bother with anything else but walking to the basement, where there was a white suit similar to a ninja's in a glass display case and numerous white weapons lining the entire wall. Without saying a word, he placed his hand on the glass, which read his fingerprints and opened completely. Taking one of the special suitcases, he began packing the essentials he would need.

As he packed his Storm Shadow suit, Anton placed two long white swords, a pair of white Desert Eagle pistols matching the suit, some throwing knives, and two small daggers. When Anton finished packing his gear, he walked to the other end of the room, where he took two special syringes that had arrived recently and also secured them.

Once he had what he needed, Anton walked to the exit of the house and programmed his absence for about a month. As he had promised Akira, at least he wouldn't let her die before he made his decision.

Moments before leaving, Anton looked at himself in the mirror, and when he saw his purple cross still around his neck, he took it off. He couldn't afford to carry anything representing the association of light, as this was a personal fight he had with himself. If for some reason he represented the association of light, this could bring serious trouble with the high table, so he wouldn't represent any kind of power.

Walking to the car, Anton placed his luggage on the back seats, and once ready, he headed straight to the airport. From what he understood, the underworld, known as the world of organized crime, was in chaos due to the continuous disasters with John, so at the request of many powers outside the underworld, that fight had to end.

But not wanting to accept defeat, a Marquis has now been sent to finish the job, giving him the authority to wipe hotels off the map, like where Akira works. With that power and a few words, they employ professional assassins to eliminate all the power a hotel manager has over it.

In that sense, no one can go against the high order, which puts everyone working for it in danger. This is why Akira's father proposed a commitment from his daughter to Anton, as only then could he protect her in case her hotel was attacked.

The only force that can go against the high table is the association of light, and most of the time, no one wants to go against an organization that fights supernatural beings. Not only whole countries are on the side of the association of light, but also many assassins who have received direct help from this association.

The smart move Akira's father made to keep her safe is unique, and now all Anton is doing is simply protecting his fiancée, as he promised her father. He wasn't bothered by this fact; in fact, he had empathized a lot with Akira, so all he would do is keep her safe. Anything related to that is just a coincidence—something that got in his way and needs to be eliminated.

"I will give peace to those who seek peace." Anton had entered directly into a private airport, where a private plane was waiting for him. Sebastián was at the airport; he was well aware of his friend's situation, but out of the love he had for him, he wouldn't interfere in his fight.

Anton got out of the car and greeted his father. "Remember that your duty is only to save your fiancée; don't interfere if my friend decides to fight alone." Sebastián gestured to the twenty people standing beside him and said, "Some bodyguards who I occasionally use will accompany you; they are not from the association of light, so don't worry."

Anton looked at these men and asked, "Are they ready for anything?"

"They will do anything you order them to; just remember to make moves with intelligence." Sebastián walked towards a waiting car.

Anton nodded, looked at the people awaiting orders, and asked, "Do all of you carry weapons?"

"Indeed, sir, we are ready."

"Then let's go; the fun is about to begin."
