Terry's Story

My name, by which everyone knows me, is Terry, and I am currently 39 years old. My parents died in a car accident when I was very young. Although I was one of the victims, I was fortunate enough to survive. However, all memories of my childhood, even those with my parents, had vanished. The only persistent memory in my mind was when the car crashed into the railing and flew several times in the air. That scene remained vivid in my mind until now.

Even today, when I close my eyes, I sometimes hear the car sliding and the piercing sound of metal scraping the ground. The sound that gave rise to life and death as I know it. That car accident changed my life.

Since then, not only Enedina, my parents, who are my loved ones, but I could also see things that others could never see. The moment I opened my eyes in that hospital, I was surrounded by terrifying things I had never seen before. There was a group of ghosts around me on the ceiling, and the worst part was that they were all watching me.

At that moment, I realized that I was destined to live a life different from others. But when I told people about this problem, some left and others didn't, because they knew my condition perfectly well.

A few days later, men from the Association of Light came to take care of me. They explained to me that those things I saw were ghosts that needed help to ascend, and I discovered this when they themselves, after a few prayers, made all the ghosts disappear.

To be honest, I didn't know that ghosts and even supernatural beings existed, so what I had heard about supernatural beings was very new, something that had not yet been experienced and fought against. I was trained as an exorcist and participated in many operations, and when I thought that was too much for me, I heard about the birth of a child named Anton ShadowBane. Everyone was ecstatic because that family was very ancient and respected worldwide.

I never thought it was such a big deal, but twenty years later, I recognized those rumors. In the battle inside the parking lot, I thought I would die. That demon had manifested, and it was very powerful. However, Anton ShadowBane fought, even knowing he could die.

At the moment when everyone gathered to pray, I could see with my special eyes that Anton had a pair of black wings on his back. One of them, in particular, was whiter than the other, which really made me understand where the ShadowBane family came from.

The only reason there weren't many members of this family is that there were no fallen angels on Earth with the mission of helping humans in the fight against supernatural beings. That is, if there are no more ShadowBanes, it means that humanity would be completely abandoned.

What does that mean? Perhaps Anton is the reincarnation of a being sent on a mission for a purpose. Terry was aware of this, so from now on, secretly, he knew that he must protect Anton's life with his own, no matter what.

After containing that dark entity, I requested a transfer to Anton's team that he was forming and was accepted along with the boy named Yoshio.

If there was a reason why I didn't tell anyone about this, it's because I didn't intend to prove it, and besides, I couldn't. But believing and knowing it is more than enough; there were no more things I wanted to know.

Maybe Anton has a mission, and his eyes were given to him to support him in what he would do; maybe in the future, only then could humanity preserve itself for the next generation.
